taking inspiration from newsletters like ftm international and metamorphosis magazine, this blog is a place to talk about being transmasculine in the current day and throughout history // my header is a depiction of phalloplasty from the first issue of metamorphosis
hi! this blog is a place for transmasculine people (and those interested in transmasculine literature) to share, discuss and understand the various transmasculine experiences
i created this blog in an attempt to read, document, and share as much transmasculine and ftm literature as possible, both published and self-written; if anyone has any recommendations for books/essays/poetry/etc, or would like to share their own ideas or experiences, my ask box and submissions are always open
additionally im always interested in reading or participating in any journals, zines, essay collections, projects, etc, so please let me know if any are going
an extra little disclaimer, hate towards any group wont be posted to this blog, though all questions will be answered assuming theyre asked in good faith
a little bit more about me (the blogger), and a little about my tag system below
hi! im a trans man with an interest in ftm and transmasculine literature, im stealth/low disclosure in my personal life, so this is a place to discuss trans experiences openly! im a philosophy student and have a vested interest in what it means to be trans from a more abstract philosophical perspective, as well as historically, socially, and personally, so i hope to cover a range of experiences and perspectives through this blog.
whilst this blog will focus on transmasculinity, i am also interested in and may post about:
transfeminine, transneutral, multigender and xenogender literature and theory
sexuality, and in particular how being trans and sexuality can overlap
disability theory and activism
tags:
library - any full books or essays i post or reblog
recommended reading - anything books or essays i personally enjoyed and can recommend
ftmcollective - any essays posted or written by me
any quotes or segments from books, journals or articles are tagged with the name of the text and the writer
theory - any theory i reblog that isnt a book or essay
Introducing the December Trans Readathon! I’m gonna read one trans book every day this December and add them to my holiday calendar, and you’re all welcome to join me 💕
Do you have books you want to see me read? Let me know here!
other trans people saying transandrophobia isnt real as if a major transphobic talking point isnt "haha the libs think men can have periods and give birth!" is absolutely baffling
i don't mind when a post is only for trans women or only about DIY estrogen at all.
what i mind is people using language like "trans people" when they're only addressing trans women and "DIY HRT" when they mean DIY estrogen.
it's literally THAT easy to not erase trans men from existence in the trans community. just use the words you mean instead of choosing words that constantly imply the trans community is only trans women and HRT can only be estrogen.
and saying that we're whining or trying to make everything about us when we point this out is so fucking mean. we're whining because we don't want our very existence erased within our own community. right.
I have always thought the way biphobia and transandrophobia work inside the queer community are rlly similar. I wish more bisexuals that r passionate abt bisexuality and combatting biphobia, also cared about transandrophobia!!
worst part about being stealth is occasionally your philosophy lecturer will come out with something so raw ("the potential for change always comes first, you are your capacity to change before you are a boy or a girl or a student") and you just have to pretend to be normal about it
Are there any trans guys in mainstream western animation? And I don’t mean headcanons I mean like. ACTUALLY confirmed characters. Because I’m curious now.
I guess there’s that one guy in SPOP but you would never know if it wasn’t like, confirmed off-screen. And I’m not sure I’d even call that show mainstream considering how it was dedicated to a specifically queer demographic and only available on ONE streaming service.
EDIT: No, Barney from Deadendia doesn’t count either. That show isn’t mainstream at all.
are you a trans guy? do you love someone who is? or maybe you're just curious about us?
i'm a trans guy 😎
I love a trans guy 😘
i'm just curious! 🧐

then come check out the FTM library!
hey friends, I've been compiling some articles and books pertaining to us FTM guys for some time now and I think I'm ready to share it with you all. I'll add anything relevant so feel free to make suggestions!
Check out the Every FTM Packer Ever database that I made!
Currently there are over 300 prosthetics in the database. I have listed the Type, Creator, Item Name, Level of realism, Color Options, Size Options, if it's cut or uncut, Stroker style (when applicable), STP style (when applicable), Material, Density, Special Features, Average price (in USD), Creator official site (linked), Other Vendors, Originating Location, Shipping to, and any special Notes. I only included companies and prosthetics which are still available (so no FreeToM and no older models like Peecock Gen2)
You can use filters to organize, refine, and sort by your preferred search criteria.
Please take a look and let me know if I missed anything or if you have any suggestions to improve it
I hope it helps someone!

Welcome to the Every FTM Packer Ever database
If you found this spreadsheet, I assume you are a fellow FTM looking to buy a pa
Since the initial publication of this database, more than 100 prosthetics have been added, representing more than 70 creators from 20+ countries all over the world.
I've also added an easier way to search and filter the database: custom filter views
now the most common search criteria are represented
you can still create your own temporary filter view to search for any data you want that's not represented in the pre-made ones though.
