9 Simple Yoga Poses To Help With Back Pain
Aching back got you down? You’re not alone. According to the American Chiropractic Association, half of Americans report back back pain symptoms each year. While there’s a lot you can do in your daily life, from working to strengthen your core to avoiding sitting for too long, a daily dose of yoga poses certainly won’t hurt.
Here are 9 poses to help with back pain that you can do anywhere.

i’ve been gone for a while it seems the last two years have been hard and i’d rather not go into what happened
my weight gain has gotten to a noticeable point, i even hurt my back recently because of it
so i’ll endeavor to try again and really reach my goals
so for the first two months i’m going to be more active and start cutting fatty foods from my diet no measurements other than how my clothes feel for these first two months
i’m not waiting until july either so here’s the plan:
end of June - July: No fast foods, burgers etc must be homemade (it makes a difference and my mom rarely makes house burgers) red meat is off the menu whenever/wherever possible. Chicken, turkey, or fish (stay away from bottom feeders b/c of liver) if eating out. No sweets or ice cream and no juice or tea. Incorporate more greens into diet/fiber. Drink more water. Portion meals better, smaller plates, not eating so much. Only eat until satisfied, not until unmovingly full.
Go on a walk at least 5 days out of the week. Start with at least 3 if need be but 5 is the goal. Never turn down an offer to go for a walk, even if I’ve already walked for the day, another wont hurt. Do this for at least three weeks.
On the fourth week, start the couch to 5k training program, using the elliptical because my ankles and knees probably wont be very good. Start off small, I know I got to like week five before but that was 2 years ago, be realistic and dont risk injury.
My two month goal is to drop at least one pant size and gain the stamina to enjoy the Universal Theme Park (I go a lot). For my stomach to not be touching my thighs anymore would be great but I’m taking baby steps right now.
I got myself to this point and it’ll be a long time until I’m happy with my body, this isnt about ideal sizes or not having the self esteem to love myself. This is my own personal happiness, my own goals. I want to live life, I want it to mean something. I was always an outdoors person until high school. I want to travel, I want to learn how to surf, I want to swim in the pacific ocean, go diving, base jump into a cave, explore our world.
And maybe one day I’ll get to do that. But for now, baby steps. Love myself, love this vessel I’ve been given, do maintenance on it, accept its flaws and fix what I’ve damaged and let be damaged by others.
