I love and miss her so. What is your fave Broadcast album?

I miss her too, can’t believe it’s been 4+ years. My favorite album has to be Tender Buttons but i love pretty much everything they ever released.

I met Trish in NY, 2009 after the show at Le Poisson Rouge. I handed her a note saying I loved Broadcast so much and I wished them all the happiness in the world and I was grateful for their music.  She gave me a smile and a hug. She was sweet. I said I was going to see Broadcast in Chicago and she told me she would put my name on the list. I arrived late at the show and people at the gig said my name wasn’t on the list. They were playing the last song (it was a tour with Atlas Sound and in Chicago they played before them, instead of NY).  I thought they might have forgotten me but some weeks later I got this email. I was so impressed that I didn’t reply to it and spent months thinking about what to answer to them. I even recorded a video of the view from a plane landing in São Paulo to invite them to come to Brazil. I was about to answer the email and send the video when I got the sad news. Four years since then, it is still hard to overcome everything. Listening to my favorite songs still brings me to tears.

They were so talented together. It was so beautiful.

Rest in peace, my dear. You’re an angel. A being of light.
