Anna Fang, badass aviator and agent of the Anti-Traction League from the Mortal Engines quartet by Philip Reeve. (one of my favourite book series of all time, and I’m really really excited to be drawing her for the upcoming volume of Ladies of Literature!)

I’ve been struggling so much with the composition for the actual piece, and just de-stressing by doing some character sketches…

I’ve studied History all my life, and the one thing I’ve learned for certain I’d that you can’t stand against it. It’s like a river in a flood, and we are just swept along in it. The big people might try to swim against the current for a time, but little people like us, the best we can hope for is to keep our heads above the water for as long as we can.

MORTAL ENGINES CON POST

SORRY FOR SUCH A LONG WAIT; this track is definitely still on if i can help it - I’ve just been very bogged down by a number of things, and struggling trying to figure out how to put this together. Essentially we have 3 sessions on the sunday to do our talks in, and each session is an hour and a half (I believe!) More info under the cut!!!
