I do not hate Canada. This username was created during the Winter Olympics years ago as a joke and we all thought it was funny enough that I kept it. I briefly changed it during the gross political climate during the “Canada should be a state” bullshit, but have now changed it back.

Hollanov fic where Shane is feeling off but Ilya is in Boston for his last year with his team and Shane doesnt want to bother him. He goes to the doctor and gets a terminal diagnosis. He doesn’t have long and all he can think about is the fact Ilya is making plans to move to Ottawa and Shane won’t be there.
So he steals both cliff and svetlana’s numbers from ilya’s phone and he sends them a message as Jane telling them that Ilya is making a mistake by considering not signing with Boston just so he can be closer to her. That they need to do everything they can to convince him to stay.
Hollanov but Magical realism is a thing and Shane gets cursed with an obsession spell except his presence makes people obsessed with him and he tries to isolate but he was supposed to meet with Ilya to hook up but he’s so conflicted because it would be so nice to have all of ilya’s attention all of his desire to know just once that all Ilya can think about is him but he also knows this would hurt because he knows it’s not true.
He goes through with meeting but nothing happens. Ilya acts how he usually does and Shane realizes the curse team must have already removed it but just forgot to tell him. He feels a strange mix of sadness and relief.
He goes to the arena early the next day to talk with them before his game only to realize the spell is still active. He has to make a run for it and ends up smacking right into Ilya. Ilya sees he’s being chased and manages to get them hidden in a conference room.
Shane is even more confused because Ilya is still acting so normal but everyone else is clearly affected. He asks Ilya if he has an immunity charms or something that allows him to not fall for curses?

i love drama so a jonerys au where a lot of the rebellion happened, but some things differed; elia and rhaegar were both in love with lyanna and they ran away together, along with their children. so both are devistated when lyanna dies after childbirth. when they burn her, as she requested, eggs are set upon her pyre, bringing dragons into the world once more.
they mourn and raise their three children (aegon, rhaenys, and aemon), but find it hard to look at their youngest, as he looks so much like his mother.
aemon grows up with parents who love him, but can barely stand to be around him. his brother and sister do their best to make up for it, but as they grow older, their attentions start to focus on each other. it is no surprise when they were announced as betrothed. aemon feels more alone then he though possible. then the dowager queen, having survived her ordeal, brings with her her second son and daughter from dragonstone.
aemon and dany immediately connect. they are best friends and are even fostered in the north together, as they refused to be separated. aemon and dany grow close with his cousin robb stark. it bonds him and his cousin more when direwolf pups are found and he gets one! when summoned back, they are surprised to find that not only more eggs have been laid and hatched, but a fully grown dragon has been spotted. its speculated maybe magic has fully returned, waking old dragons from slumber, but most dont put much thought to it.
dany hasn't been with the new dragons for more than a minute before a black one, one of the new hatchlings, claims her for his own. aemon is so happy for her and excited for one to choose him but--none do. soon aemon is the only targaryen without one. he looks at ghost and doesn't regret having him, but he does feel out of place. he loves mother lyanna, even if he never met her, but all eh can think is that within his family, he is a lonely beacon.
years pass and they are in their teens. some strife or other occurs and talks of a possible marriage alliance comes. aegon and rhaenys are not an option. maybe a baratheon marriage?
dany is.
aemon tries to talk to his father, mother elia, the hand, anyone he can begging them not to do this. he talks with dany and is shocked when she tells him to stop. that she is willing to marry to keep peace.
"what about us?" aemon asks
"there is no us" dany responds.
aemon is heartbroken and flees (he will not know, not for a long time, that dany does not mean it as he takes it). he runs to the woods and soon is lost. this is how he stumbles upon his dragon. could be cannibal, could be another dragon, does not matter. he bonds with him. he starts to avoid his family, taking ghost and hiding out in the woods with the dragon. negotiations move forward for a possible marriage and aemon can't take it.
when his cousin comes to the capital for a visit, aemon tells him of his plans.
"if you run they will search for you" robb tells him
"not if they believe me dead" aemon responds.
so they have aemon's dragon get sighted more and more. make him looks disgruntled and angry. aemon starts to leave comments about feeling upset about his lack of dragon. they pay someone to give them a recently deceased teen, someone with the same vague height as aemon, and they drag him into the woods. they take a wolf the dragon half ate and put it there too.
"are you sure about this?" robb asks
"i can't have them looking for me" aemon insists.
so the dragon burns the body, the wolf, and half the forest. robb runs to his king and commits treason, yelling about aemon goign to look for the rogue dragon. that he was going to try claiming it. and that robb sees flames in the direction he went.
they all believe it is too late as they see the large dragon leave in the distance. it is dark. easy enough to keep anyone from noticing a black clad figure on its back.
Star Wars Heated Rivalry AU where Shane is a strict follower of the Jedi Code, constantly trying to prove himself to his Master, Theriault, who almost didn’t take him on as a padawan because he says Shane gets too emotionally attached to people. He constantly critiques Shane in front of his fellow padawans and Shane doesn’t have a lot of friends because of it (he has Hayden and J.J., but they are often busy with their own apprenticeships).
While out on a diplomatic mission, Theriault leaves Shane at a random Big Sleep Hotel, telling Shane he wasn’t equipped to help him with their current assignment. Shane, unfortunately, can sit still and do nothing all day and that does not stop him from somehow getting kidnapped by pirates. He ends up in a cell with a random (force sensitive) Mandalorian, which isn’t great considering the hostility between their two people. They have to work together regardless in order to escape and, once they’ve done so, they end up in bed together.
Shane justifies it because it’s not an attachment; the Jedi Code basically says they are allowed to have sex as long as it doesn’t become a relationship. So what if they keep running in to each other over the next decade and find themselves in bed each time.
Shane becomes a Jedi Knight and his first assignment is with a group of masters and knights to investigate the massacre of a village. Imagine Shane’s surprise when all clues point to Ilya and his clan. Shane thinks something is wrong with this, the force is screaming at him, but none of his fellow Jedi seem willing to listen to him. No matter what Shane does, they believe Ilya and his men are monsters.
Shane has to grapple with the Jedi Code, admit to himself that maybe he wasn’t that great at being casual, and try to solve this mystery before Ilya, the man he may be in love with, is found and killed for a crime Shane suspects he did not commit.
Mando Ilya calling Shane’s lightsaber a “laser sword” and laughing when Shane, who looks like an angry tooka, tells him to kark off.
Shane whose lightsaber has been blue throughout most of his apprenticeship, but has to return to the Crystal Caves when he no longer feels his saber will work for him (right after meeting Ilya the Mando for the first time), and coming out of it with a new green saber with a hilt containing beskar.
Shane who opts into taking Mando’a as his language requirement for no reason whatsoever, ne’johaa, Hayden!
Mando Ilya who quietly adds gray and gold to his armor when he thinks Shane has been killed, only to remove it soon after he learns Shane has survived the encounter.
Shane who sends Ilya non-Order related information about The Force, encouraging him to explore his own connection to the ka’ra.
Future married Hollanov where Shane has left the Order and wears the vambraces Ilya wore when they first met and his husband wears Shane’s first kyber crystal on his mother’s necklace, safety tucked in his armor.
It’s been almost a decade since Shane Hollander has retired, even longer since he left Montreal, and they’ve made it to the playoffs since, but they’re actually in the finals for the first time since Hollander’s Trip. Fans often joke that Shane cursed the team when he left (they’re only 60% joking) and they’re currently playing game 7 in the Cup Finals. This could be it, the team is finally going to bring home another cup, and then it’s like déjà vu; turnover, a chase, Montreal’s lead scorer trips, and their opponent scores in OT, ending their cup dreams.
