I’m Tired

That’s quite honestly it.

That’s the only way my exhausted mind can explain it.

I. Am. Tired.

I’m physically, mentally and emotionally tired. I feel like I’m on an island, left to deal with my issues; while the world seemingly has no problem moving on without me. Maybe it’s my own fault, for being the butt end of such clear disrespect. Maybe it’s my own fault that I’ve allowed people to disrespect me. Maybe I’m tired of letting it happen. Maybe it’s about time I do something about it. I have priorities to recycle and move around, and to be quite honest ; most people won’t like it. Mainly, because for once .. It’ll be to my benefit and not for their benefit. - Just Another Thought

Invisible

The worst feeling in the world.

To feel as if people see right through you.

As if the world was unable to see the things that you do or hear the things that you say.

That no matter what, you will never be a true priority to them.

They’ll always come up with excuses, and you’ll accept them.

Yet, you’‘ll always try to see the best in them.

They won’t “like” your pictures, or support your business. They won’t “share” your success or tell their friends to come out and support you.

They’ll only ask for hand outs. They’ll only support you if it benefits them.

They’ll simply do the bare minimum.

They don’t care about you, they care about how good it’ll make them feel.

Ideally, I only want to put into the world what I want to see; happiness and good vibes. Sadly, the world doesn't always work that way.

Time

We spend so much of it complaining about how little of it we have.

There’s irony in that.

We complain that there’s so much to do, while we stand around doing none of it.

We’ve created a culture that celebrates mediocrity.

The idea that waking up and existing is enough for us to feel entitled to the world.

We laugh at the idea of responsibility and romanticize not being able to do regular real world tasks.

We aspire to greatness, but have no willingness to take risks.

We refuse to acknowledge that success takes sacrifice, and instead dream of procrastination.

We romanticize relationships but we don’t prioritize manners.

It’s about time we stop imaging the perfect world and go out and create it.

Or maybe that’s just me...

Giving More ...

I always feel like I constantly give more than what I receive.

I’ve always been taught to understand what you’re worth.

I’ve always understood that one shouldn’t accept any less than what their value is.

Yet, I find myself here.

Caring more for others, than they care for me.

Giving to others, more than they give to me.

Am I selfish for feeling this way? It always feels like how I feel is invalid. At least about this in particular.

I can’t help but wonder if some people would do the same for me, and if so... why haven’t they yet? Am I selfish for wanting it sooner than later?

I give my time to them, but when I’m home; I’m usually alone.

Maybe, I need to just take what I can get.

Maybe,  I just have to accept that people don’t see me as highly as I see them.

Maybe, if I was better..

Maybe, if I was giving more ...

I’d feel like the people I surround myself would understand and respect me more.

Or at the very least act like it.

Or maybe ... I’m just in a mood, and I’ll get over it.

.. Maybe.

It's a difficult line to walk. Between standing up for what you believe in, and swallowing your pride to avoid an argument.

Just One ...

There’s always just one.

One person that breaks all of our rules.

The one person you constantly make exceptions for.

You tell yourself, that each reason you give is justified. That it makes sense, and that if anyone else had done it; the situation would remain the same.

You tell yourself it’s not a lie, but we both know better don’t we? 

They could push all of our buttons, and you would still come back for their love. 

You know for a fact, that they’re the only person that can get away with what you let them get away with. 

You tell yourself, no you remind yourself that you need to stop yourself.

Stop yourself from becoming someone your not.

Stop yourself from being someone else’s stepping stone; someone else’s doormat to walk all over.

But even as those thoughts cross your mind, as soon as they show up your walls will come down.

You will cave and you will do everything to bring about their hopes and dreams, while you continue to hope that you don’t lose sight of your own.

There’s always one person that’ll become your world. 

One person, that no matter what happens..

At the end of the day... The glow of their happiness and love make you wanna go through it all over again.

Just make sure you find someone who will return the favor.
