A book crystallized in the ocean
oh mood
NO NO NO.
This was not crystallized by the ocean. People. No. This is why artist credit is SO DAMN IMPORTANT THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE MISINFORMED HERE.
Alexis Arnold is an artist who creates crystallized books. Her work is amazing and beautiful, sheâs made dozens of these.
This particular one was not made by her, however, it was actually created by Catherine McEver - who was inspired to try it after seeing a show of Alexis Arnoldâs work. Itâs literally the first picture on Google image results if you search for âcrystallized booksâ and she posted about it on her blog showing other process shots as she made it.
TWO DIFFERENT WOMEN ARE BEING DEPRIVED OF CREDIT FOR THEIR CREATIVITY BECAUSE THIS FALSE INFORMATION IS BEING SPREAD. FUCK THAT.
Considering how many times Iâve seen the uncredited post on my dash Iâm finally going to reblog it, with the proper credits.
I looked her up and these sculptures are really cool like look at these,
Like theyâre so cool!
#look the only version of the fountainhead that can actually be mistaken for art
omg. you. you are amazing and I fucking love you

itâs so bizarre when animated American films are set in a certain location and then only certain characters have the accents of that place. It makes no damn sense!! like
WHY IS SHE MORE FRENCH THAN THE REST OF THEM???
WHY ARE THESE GUYS MORE SCOTTISH THAN THE KIDS??
(also, arenât they Vikings or something?)
To be fair, almost everyone in Ratatouille does have a French accent. The real question is why Linguini and also all the rats sound intensely American
If it was just the rats Iâd say itâs because the movie can be interpreted to mean that the rats understand but donât necessarily speak human languages so the rat dialog isnât literally taking place the way we see it but that doesnât explain why Linguini has a rat accent
LINGUINI HAS A RAT ACCENTÂ
Do we ever hear like
For sure that Linguini grew up in France tho?
It could be possible heâs just an American immigrant
I mean his name is Alfredo Linguini so I always assumed he was Italian
Iâm sorry his first name is Alfredo?
ALFREDO???
heâs American you guys his mother was American it was mentioned in the beginning
Iâm sorry, Iâve moved on to the fact his mother was going through her cupboard for baby names
unimaginably cruel
How are they even going to make an american version of âTrain to Busanâ I thought you guys didnât have trains?
