Please help me report Fairy Heart from stealing the works from other people’s hard work.

You may be wondering why do I even went too far as making this post. This person called Fairy Heart basically what they’re doing is already stealing, from me and @kurare13​ translations and also @rboz, @tartatail​, @ayumichi-me​, @ladygt​ and from the Naruto fandom’s works.

Making a translation and a comic content takes a lot of effort and days (or even a few weeks) to finish, and seeing this person using it as their own is just unbelievable… I mean just look at those views and the subscribers this person have =.= I would let it slide if they left a source by putting our tumblr accounts on the video description but they didn’t.

So Fairy Tail fandom if you really appreciate us as we contribute our translations and the skills from the people that I mentioned above, please help us report this user to take down the videos. If this person keeps uploading the translations that I did, then I might as well stop making translating comics.

I am…so MAD, you have no idea. 

I can’t fucking believe that this THIEF has got almost 1000 notes, for something that doesn’t belong to her. We don’t even know who drew this piece of art, because she put her own weheartit blog as the “source”. 

SERIOUSLY?? 925 NOTES?? 

I know some pretty good artists who struggle every day to barely get 100 notes, and then think they are shitty artists. And then they see their art reposted and get more notes than they initially got. That’s not normal.

And it kills me to see that a lot people reblog this!!! I get that you can’t know at first sight that it’s a repost, that’s why I’m writing this post right now. 

There’s no artist name, no real source, no “posted with permission”! (because she doesn’t ask permission). So please, stop reblogging from her from now on!

This girl is a stubborn one. If you check her blog, you’ll see multiple reposted art, with as the only “source”, her own weheartit blog where she puts all her stolen treasures. This girl never wanted to understand that what she does is wrong.

I myself had to deal with her when she reposted a coloring I did. It didn’t end well, because she really didn’t want to erase it!! 

@nalu-natic, and others tried to reason her, to talk to her nicely. All she does is saying “leave me alone!!!”. I can’t stand that. If she didn’t know and accepted to acknowledge her mistakes and stop it, I wouldn’t be so mad. But the girl is fully conscious of her actions, I have screenshots to prove it. 

Artists have been reporting her to tumblr, but she doesn’t care, she will keep doing her business. 

There, now it’s done. Everybody’s warned.

Sorry, but unless you’re A-1 Studios or Hiro Mashima, the content creators for Fairy Tail and its anime adaptation, then you have no right to claim gifs as your own that only contains materials from the anime.

Hello jeredyday! It seems you don’t understand the work people put in gifs and graphics! The creator of the gifs have all the RIGHT to claim that work as theirs because in the instant they cut, edit, add effects, count the frames, and everything else, that work belongs to THEM, unless you’re A-1 studios or Hiro Mashima, the content creators for Fairy Tail and its anime adaptation, then you have NO RIGHT to REPOST or USE any of this work, if you don’t understand this clearly, please leave a message in  our askbox :) creating your OWN gifs and OWN graphics it’s quite more great! why dot you try it out sometimes instead of stealing work ? :) thank you very much :)

I would congratulate you for having a good number of followers, but seeing that it wasn't your works that gained you this, I really wouldn't. This is art by @bludy-chu, so please take it down with the rest of the artworks you reposted without getting proper permission from their respective artists. Reposting is stealing and very disrepectful to those who spent so much time making them. Nobody cares if you "randomly found them on the net", because they'll just sue you anyway. Hey fanartists, please watermark your work! Include your tumblr url somewhere on your fanart.

I’m saying this because I did a little test to see what would happen if I could reverse image check a piece of ML fanart. Not to my surprise, there were 50 results for pinterest, weheartit, and instagram and it was hard to find the link to the original artist that was buried in these search results.

And before anyone tries to be dumb and add this comment, stolen art is NOT the artist’s fault, even if they didn’t watermark their work. Whether the piece is watermarked or not, you’re a dick if you repost it without permission. (Lmao long ago when I had my art stolen, I had some selfish entitled people come up to me and say it’s my fault for not watermarking. LOL? Get outta hereee.)

Artists often will not watermark their works, or keep their signature very small, because they are very kind and want their audience to access the full quality of the artworks they produce. Unfortunately, there are dicks that take advantage of that kindness to steal artworks, and often the artist will lose recognition for their work.

I think it’s safer to watermark your work and have the quality drop a little, than to have people blatantly steal it and your name be completely lost in the masses!

Posting art on Tumblr when you admit you don't know where it came from isn't art theft. Getting attention for your blog does seem unethical, but they're outright claiming it isn't theirs and is leaving it up to the user to find the owner. Users like these rarely, practically ever, make money off of their Tumblr blogs, and the ones that become famous (also practically never) fall from grace immediately. So it literally doesn't matter.

now this mainly applies to older artists but do you, who sound like you have never posted art in your life, have any idea how discouraging it was when I was a younger artist with barely any audience at all, to know that every time I spent time on something and made it look good that it was bound to get reposted by someone with more followers than I had?

so many times I would be discouraged from spending time on something just because I knew someone else would get the credit for it

and while reposts may not ALWAYS get more popular than the originals, its always going to hurt

What do I do when I see a repost on tumblr?

1) Try to message the reposter. Tell them respectfully that reposting is wrong and that they should not do it as it is extremely disrespectful to the original content maker.

2) Because the first step doesn’t work in the most cases, find the original content maker since they’re the only ones who have the right to report (→ here) the repost in order for it to be removed. Give them the link to the repost and the link to their original work if you’re able to find it.

3) If the reposter is a constant reposter, tell the original content maker to report the account of the reposter.

4) If you cannot find the original content maker, try to message @fullbustingurass (or us). Other than that, unfortunately, you can’t do anything against it. :(

If you dont have right to repost it given by the artist DO NOT post their art. So pretty please delete this post. And again, Pinterest is NOT a source

Dear Fairy Tail Artists (of any kind) please pay attention!

Hello! Admin Erza here! I’m sorry this is a little bit informal to my liking but anyways... Please dear artists (people who draw, colour, make graphics, everyone!) I’m begging you all to put a visible water mark on your work, you see, I am in some Fairy Tail groups and pages of FACEBOOK and i’ve seen work of people posted there without any source nor watermark, (I am specifically talking about spanish speaker groups and pages i dont know about english speaker pages/groups) I know some of you might dislike to put a watermark since it doesnt look quite as good (im saying this since i hate to put watermarks as well) Believe me, there are multiple persons who are gonna save the pic (because they liked it and want to show to their friends or whatever reason) and without any watermark THERE’S NO WAY TO KNOW WHO THE ARTIST WAS. I’ve been fighting a few people there (facebook) since they’ve posted work that says SPECIFICALLY “DO NOT REPOST” and it pisses me off, they say “lol look at the ‘do not repost’ haha XD” their excuse is that you guys are guess what... artists. (which makes you the OWNER of that work and you have the RIGHT to tell people not to repost ANYWHERE if you want to!) I also have seen A LOT of people translating english edits (graphics, fanart, doujinshis,etc) and posting them without again, any source, they do not claim it to be theirs but still. SO PRETTY PLEASE (I’m begging you since it makes me sick to see your art in which you spent hours and dedication being posted everywhere! you DESERVE to be recognized!) put a watermark on your precious work.
