thinking again about that yoko taro quote
“you don't have to be insane to kill someone. you just have to think you're right.” WHAT THE FUCKKKKKKKKKKKK
men will just drop shit like this on you via a fucking sock puppet and you just have to live with it
btw heres the full quote, originally taken from this post
Genuinely, one of the measures that's stopped book banning the most when districts implement it, is having the would-be banners fill out a form that demonstrates if they've read the book or not. Like where they have the summarize the plot and characters and do a mini book report and give a review. It stops them in their tracks. This is why in my high school, every time someone wanted to ban a book it ended up going nowhere. There was one where a conservative student wanted to ban the manga "Legal Drug" for having a marijuana leaf on the cover, then got the form that required them to actually read and either balked, or read it and realized it was not pro-drug at all. (The other one that reduces book bans even further is "requiring the would-be banner to be affiliated with this actual school in some way, either by being a student, faculty/staff or a parent of a child at the school" because the vast majority of bans are "activists" with no affiliation with the school who just travel around trying to do this in districts all over the U.S. IIRC a few years ago someone crunched the numbers and just 51 parents were responsible for all the book bans that year nationally. 51! In a country with 50 states, with over 300 million people total!)
I will NEVER see a prehistoric dinosaur
I will NEVER see an anomalocaris. I will NEVER hold a trilobite. I will NEVER see a dimetrodon or an eight foot long millipede. and I will NEVER see a pterosaur
Well as much as it pains me to say it they died
Disappointment.
I’m begging people to do their due diligence when posting shit like this. I cannot find ONE reputable source (i.e. not Hamas-based “news” or someone’s blog) that quotes him as saying this. I’m willing to be proven wrong, but from what I’ve read, Moshe Feiglin is open to the idea of Gazans immigrating to Israel as long as they swear under oath that they do not support Hamas, and I think that’s a fairly reasonable thing to say, given his political stance of one-state Israel. (Do I agree with that? No, but at least he’s trying to have a nuanced take.) Also, this guy never got elected into office— he has no real power in the first place.
I’m not saying I agree with everything Israel has done. Netanyahu is an absolutely horrendous person, and I don’t think anyone can object to that. However, don’t go putting abhorrent words in people’s mouths. The situation’s bad enough as it is without people twisting the situation for clicks.
I don't know how you could possibly miss it, even Haaretz, an Israeli newspaper, reported this guy saying it:
"As Hitler said, 'I can't live if one Jew is left,' we can't live here if one 'Islamo-Nazi' remains in Gaza" during an interview on Israeli TV Channel 12
What a truly nuanced take here, makes my heart feel warm and fuzzy.
He is also the same Knesset member who said:
Every child, every baby in Gaza is an enemy, Every child in Gaza is the enemy. We need to occupy Gaza and settle it, and not a single Gazan child will be left there. There is no other victory." during an interview on Israeli TV Channel 14.
Maybe you should do your due diligence instead?
Some people aren’t content to be complicit in genocide; they’d prefer to take a more active role in it.
This is how systemic issues remain systemic.
You are not "just one person" choosing your own job, security, comfort, or mental health.
You are one of very many racists who chose to kill Black and brown people in the name of your own well being which you see as more valuable than Black and brown lives

the good news: you are alive on earth
the bad news: somebody else got here first
ok more news: it looks like some of the people who were here before you had some pretty bad ideas and did some pretty messed up things
Spin the wheel. That's who's trying to kill you.
Spin the wheel again. That’s who’s trying to protect you.
(If you have zero idea about the name you got, spin until you see someone you recognize.)
Are you safe?
Absolutely not. I'm dead. 100% dead.
I might stay alive, but it'll be a really close thing.
I'll take some hits, for certain, but I should be okay in the end.
A few attacks might get through, but nothing concerning.
The attacker might be able to get in one lucky hit. If that.
I am the opposite of worried. I'm 100% safe.
…Look. I've tried picturing this. But I honestly don't know how to answer.
(Six months ago, I did a version of this poll with about five hundred options on the spinner wheel. For this one, I more than doubled it.)
i do think it's strange when people say "if you want to watch anime with adults characters maybe you should stop watching shonen" in the same way i think it's strange when people say "the reason you don't find Pixar films relatable is because you're not a child anymore, your 37" when most Pixar Protagonists are men in their 30s and I'm pretty sure that Goku has been a dad for like. 36 years now
in general I think when anime fans complain how "too much anime is about high schoolers" (which I do think is an over exaggeration) they aren't talking about shonen anime because most shonen anime have a large adult supporting cast that they can ethnically goon to, but also the highschool elements tend to be relatively minor (I think josuke is the only JoJo who we constienty see go to high school compared to Jotaro and Giorno where it's not focused on a lot) I think they're complain about like. K-on or some shit I dunno
