news does not exist to support your preexisting biases. sharing this as a genuine news source does nothing to convince other people of your argument. everything shared on this site may very well be true, but it is very clear that this is a website made by and for people who already hate trans people. a news source should not be trusted if it is trying in every single article to convince you of a specific argument

do some research into the owner of this website if you’re so inclined. believe what you want to believe about trans people but don’t peddle biased sources acting as if they are proof of anything

While I am aware conservative news sources are not ideal and can be fake none of this articles are lying about the reports made. And if only conservative news sites will report it then you all make this issue of women not being able to get news from more reliable sources. And leftist news sources aren't free from bias as well. Your only source of those news being fake is that it's from Reduxx but none of the sources or reports are false. It's all documented arrests, convictions, and reports from women harmed by males in women's spaces. Yes I don't support reduxx but I would say other news sources need to care about the harm being done to women, something you recognize as not being false in your own reply.

And I have talked with the owner of the website listed (not reduxx) she was even in the comments of this very post. She's a feminist and you can see her replies in the post of what her site does for women beyond recording reports.

my bad i misunderstood because i just assumed that the owner of reduxx also owned the website you linked since it seemed to be their main if not only source.

but i want to reiterate that i am not claiming reduxx to be fake news; that would be entirely baseless as i have not verified any of the reports to be false nor do i really believe them to be so. i am saying however that reduxx demonstrates a clear bias. bias is common in sources from both the right and the left, but i just find reduxx in particular sort of scummy for the way it claims to be a feminist news site when every single article has more to do with trans people than it does women’s rights.

you say using conservative news sources is “not ideal” but i think it’s beyond not ideal. i find it upsetting how so many people who call themselves feminists are willing to align themselves with conservatives who don’t care if they live or die just for the sake of hating trans people together. one of the co-owners of reduxx, anna slatz, is on record mocking a gay man’s hiv diagnosis as well, showing that her contempt expands beyond trans people and beyond the guise of being (in the websites her words) “pro woman” and “pro child safe-guarding”

once again, i am not trying to discredit the events described in reduxx’s reports. i am always inclined to believe victims of violence. however, when a news sites sole purpose is to report on acts of violence committed by a specific demographic of people, you have to wonder what their goal is.

i do wish other news sources would report on this sort of violence, but it is hard to do so because of how politicized the whole thing has become. i will say though that websites like reduxx and the map that used their reports does not serve to encourage mainstream discussion about these things because of the clear bias and how it encourages people to form assumptions about an entire group of people

I don’t think we talk enough about how causal the relationship might be between suicidality and a trans identity, and not the other way around.

It seems to me that some suicidal people are attracted to transition as a method of symbolic suicide. The whole modern method is an exercise in throwing yourself away. Your old name is dead. You get to demand people eliminate or alter all photographic or documented evidence of your former life, from your parents to the government. You’re promised a different face, a different body. A new ID. New spaces. Your parents are abusing and rejecting you if they still think about the old you. Most importantly, your hatred of yourself is validated. You were right to hate yourself— of course you did when you were born wrong! Your self-hatred is now some strange new axis of activism, where what you hated was imposed upon you by people you now get to fight. The old self is hated and eliminated to be replaced by a shallow cutout of stereotyped whimsy. By believing that men and women are so deeply and fundamentally different, you are promised transition into something other than human. Hormone injections shall transform you into a different creature that doesn't even think the way you thought. Women are whimsical creatures that do nothing but shop and preen and it’s an asset to be brainless. Men are formless blobs where it’s normal not to care about anything or anyone, just sit around growing a beer gut all day, and that’s totally not a mutation created by patriarchy, it’s just normal and fulfilling when you’re a man. Nothing like the old you that had expectations, responsibilities, needs, and desires.

The very nature of today's terminally online trans identity scoops up the already suicidal. And it all becomes a great surprise that morale goes through the floor once the procedures are done and the dream of inhumanity vanishes.
