In 2019, I stopped blow-drying my hair straight, went fully natural and never looked back (except for that one week in the middle of the panini when my hair got too long to handle 😅) learning how to take care of my curls has been a long journey, but one that I’ve taken in stride. Since I was a little kid so many people would reiterate that curly hair looked messy and unkempt, and that couldn’t be further than the truth. Curly hair is beautiful. Seeing @thecrownact pass made me so happy, and I hope that more people can embrace their natural hair more now.

I shared this illustration back I made when I first went curly and needed to remind myself the pros when I was feeling doubtful. I’m so proud of how far I’ve come!
