PW Poetry Annex November 2018
This will probably be the last “online annex” of post-pub reviews that I do, since there’s been a restructuring that’ll largely prevent me from covering titles that don’t hit me 4+ months in advance. It’s a mondo bummer because so many rad small presses don’t have the capacity to work that far in advance. But you know, as some guy said a while back, capital in all its forms has the tendency to concentrate upwards.
Also, here are the Poetry selections for the 2018 Best Books Issue!
G. Emmalea Russo (Futurepoem)
Crosslight for Youngbird. Asiya Wadud (Nightboat)
Each Tree Could Hold a Noose or a House. Nina Puro (New Issues)
Girls Are Coming Out of the Woods. Tishani Doshi (Copper Canyon)
Scorpio. Katy Bohinc (Miami)
The Desert. Brandon Shimoda (Song Cave)
Ghost, Like a Place. Iain Haley Pollock (Alice James)
Self-Defence for the Brave and Happy. Paul Vermeersch (ECW)
