Future Lions has always been dedicated to the development and support of grass roots coaching and player development and Kenya is a key area in which they are proud to have a very strong presence. The Manager of our operation in Nairobi is former professional goalkeeper George Opiyo.

Special thanks to Urban Ambulance services for ensuring all the players were safe for the duration of the tournament and to top Kenyan premier league referee Brooks Philip Elijah who was in charge of the officials.
It is the intention that Future Lions can identify talented African players to recruit to our academies in England, USA and China so they can begin their journey to becoming professional footballers via our carefully established player pathways.

Talented Tino takes on Europe
Future Lions International are delighted to announce the arrival of Zimbabwe teenage sensation and National team player Tino Benza.
The 18 year old striker / winger, who is the youngest player to score in the Zimbabwe premiership, who has scored for Zimbabwe u18 and was recently selected to represent the u23 young warriors for their Afcon fixture vs Mozambique, has decided to head to Future Lions instead of starting the league season back home as he feels he wants to explore the opportunities available to him in Europe. And what better place to go than Future Lions International Football academy who have now helped over 20 players with their football careers in the last year.
Tino had a brief spell at Future Lions pre season and scored 3 goals in 2 matches. He commented “It was a great experience... it was very technical; it’s different from Africa because you have to use more of your brains than your speed or anything. I’m going to be with Future Lions until I find a team. I have my visa now and I’m all ready to go!”.
Commenting on the U23 Zimbabwe call up Tino said “Its an amazing feeling, when I heard the news I was travelling, I wasn’t expecting it but it means a lot and gives me hope for the future”.
Tinos father, Innocent, who was still playing in the Zimbabwe premier league at 46 said of his sons departure to England that it’s a wonderful opportunity, we are a serious football family and with Tino being called into the u23 and was already captain on the u17 it shows he is a developing talent.”
At Future Lions we certainly believe He is a young boy with undoubted ability. At 14 he was already playing in division one but there was little press coverage. At 17 he was the youngest scorer in the premier league and at 18 he has already been called into the u23. We hope that we can play a pivotal role in whatever is next to come for Tino.
We are also delighted that of all the academies he chose ours and we believe that says a lot about what we are trying to achieve ourselves. Our ambitions not only match but exceed both Tino and his fathers. We are passionate about giving young international players realistic opportunities and we very hard on our recruitment and marketing. Players like Tino will hopefully go on to inspire another group of young players wanting similar opportunities and the stronger the players are that we recruit then the greater opposition we can play against during the academy programme and this shows our commitment to being the best option for all young footballers looking to progress in football in Europe, China and USA. We are also in a unique position to study Tino’s abilities closely with our gps tracking, heart rate monitoring and performance analysis tools which are similar to those used at premier league clubs. Not many other academies would offer this kind of support to young players.
For more information about Future Lions international football academy, for opportunities to progress you football career and to keep an eye on Tinos progress please be sure to follow us on Facebook.com/thefuturelions and visit our website www.future-lions.com

Kinniburgh Returns to the Pride
After a spell at Corby Town where he steered them to the play off finals last season as first-team manager, along with his work developing young players through the academy, Steve Kinniburgh is back at The Future Lions and is roaring to get started.
Steve, who is a UEFA A Licenced coach and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Future Lions, got started straight away as he takes on the role as Head of Coaching and began working with the International Squad last week.
He commented, “I'm delighted to be back at The Future Lions and to see the growth it has made in the last two season is fantastic. I’ve only been back in a week but already see how professional and well organised it is here.”
Kinniburgh joins Luke Graham and Paul White and this seemed to be something that excited him. “Working with Luke and Paul on a daily basis is great and to have people round about you who understand and have a fantastic knowledge of football is a breath of fresh air.”
When asked about his new role, Steve said that he was “Really looking forward to helping with the players' progression especially with the current international players we have in as some have shown some exciting things on the training pitch already. The Future Lions is growing fast and I’m delighted to be back involved with everyone.”
We welcome him back and look forward to catching up with him soon for further updates.

Future Lions launch African Hub
Kenya has fast become a key location for Future Lions, and with huge success not only with the recent signing of Otieno Pala to Premier League side SofaPaka FC, but also last season with Future Lion Max Kering getting into the u21 International Selection to represent his country. With this in mind, it was logical that we explored the possibilities of opening up this pathway for young talented footballers from the region not just directly in Kenya itself but also to surrounding countries such as Namibia, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda and Botswana.
Future Lions is delighted to announce that we can now make appointments for players and parents/guardians to meet with Future Lions African Development Coordinator, George Opiyo. Opiyo himself was a professional goalkeeper who played for Sofapaka FC and he said “My dream has always been to see talented African players make it to the top leagues in Europe, something that in the past was not easy, but with the introduction of Future Lions in Africa players have the chance to join our academies in the UK; Spain; USA and China and the opportunity to be coached by our professional coaches and watched by top football agents. Personally, I'm so happy to be working with Future Lions and I’m looking forward to helping as many players as possible join our academies across Africa.“
So if you are from the region and wish to make an appointment to meet with George to discuss how you can become a Future Lion, or you need help convincing your parents that our programme is the right one for you, then please contact George now by e-mailing [email protected] to make an appointment.

From Rivals & Work-mates, to Team mates & champions - The future lions coaches celebrate winning the league
Future Lions coaches Luke Graham and Paul White have encountered many situations both as players and coaches, and last season Luke found himself on the opposite team to his colleague Paul who is Kettering Towns record setting goalkeeper when they went head to head in a cup final.
Luke, due to turn 33 this month, is a former pro footballer with over 460 appearances in the football league for clubs such as Northampton Town, Mansfield Town and Forest Greeb Rovers, and last season after facing Paul, went on to lift the FA Trophy at Wembley to cap off a wonderful season in what would end up being his last in Brackley Town colours where he enjoyed some excellent seasons making over 89 appearances. He is also a well respected player and is also a Uefa A licensed coach.
Earlier this season the rivalry was put the bed as Luke became team mates with Paul after re signing for one of his former clubs Kettering Town FC. And teammates and in Lukes latter role as a coach with the first team, the pair now have something very special to celebrate as Kettering have just confirmed their promotion and have become champions by winning the Evo Stick Premier Division Central title with 3 games still left to play. It could even see the team surpass the 100pt mark which would be a fantastic achievement. Paul has once more kept a total of 19 clean sheets so far too which is only a few short of his record he set last season.
Kettering Town FC have been promoted back to the Conference which is a great opportunity for our International Players and our students to aim for. It also means that our players get to work with people with a championship winning mentality and who practice what they preach. Something that always comes across in their coaching sessions.
This really is a fantastic opportunity for any young footballer and we are excited to have created a package that’s unique and imposible to beat. That’s why Future Lions is becoming one of the fastest growing brands in International Football and the ONLY place to go in the UK if you are serious about your football career. Nowhere else gets the results we are able to create!
Do you think you have what it takes to be a future lion? Do you want to capitalise on the coaching and experience of working with Luke Graham and Paul White? If so and you like the idea of a proven pathway to one of the most famous non league teams in England and beyond, then simply go to future-lions.com and sign up for our New season starting 15th July 2019.

Bulgarian Footballer George Chomakov Ready for the new campaign in USA with Detroit City FC
Bulgarian Midfielder George Chomakov has overcome quite a range of injury setbacks in his short career, and you would think any normal human being would have hung up his boots by now. But this young man is something else and his never quit attitude is an inspiration to many young athletes out there working their way up the ladder.
From knee reconstructions to torn ligaments George really has been on the sidelines for more than his fair share of time, and he cane to the uk in search for a club, but we are delighted to see him ready for the new season in the MPSL In USA with Detroit City FC.
The team at Future Lions would like to wish George all the best for the upcoming challenges both personal and for his team. Good luck !

Future Lion Pala signs premier league pro contract with league leaders
Future Lion Pala signs premier league pro contract with league leaders
Future Lions are delighted to announce that long term academy player Emmanuel Pala has recently signed a 2 year contract with High Flying Kenyan Premier League club Sofapaka Fc who are currently Top of the league with 9 games to play this season.
Pala, who was one of the original academy players when he joined us two years ago, enjoyed a successful time with Future Lions as he quickly earned himself a place in Kettering Towns Under 21 team after performing well in training and matches. He was voted Players Player of the season by the Kettering team which is a wonderful accolade to be awarded by your peers.
The staff at the academy knew that good things were possible but Pala was also fighting the clock as his visa was due to expire in January 2019 and it was not possible for him to extend it any further. Pala had been working hard getting senior men’s team experience at Ucl club Sileby Rangers where he was a regular man of the match winner too.
Future Lions Academy Director Craig Mander explains “Pala was really starting to get the hang of senior football, it was such a shame that we were fighting against his deadline”.
Sileby Rangers Manager Mitch Austin also commented that “it’s going to be impossible to replace the physical strength, pace and technique of Pala. There aren’t many players like him available at our level and we are grateful to Future Lions for chosing our club to give him experience.”
Pala was naturally happy with the news and said "I am very happy & humbled for this opportunity, the search has been long from playing in the fifth division in Kenya two years ago."
Speaking about the coaches at Future Lions he added "I am also blessed to have always found coaches who believe that I have potential which I have proved. "
"I would like to thank the Future Lions Academy who created opportunities for me at, Kettering Town F. C. & Northampton Sileby Rangers F. C. And now with Sofapaka Fc. They worked with me & believed in me for the last two years they have been like family".
