This is not my main and is dedicated to my mentally ill existence. I often reblog menhera/jirai stuff, but please note i am a westerner. Its more because i tend to find more relateable stuff there than the desire to fetishize JP.

Should note i also reblog stuff relating back to all cluster Personality Disorders. I study them heavily in my free time due to a fascination with people that have the same and similar emotional responses to me. Lots of my reblogs refering to PDs are because i am collecting them to study/relate. I am not diagnosed with a PD.

I also reblog stuff that i relate to, even if I dont really understand it in some cases. Such as photos of self harm (though i also use them as art reference, i will admit), talk of suicide, and other crazy stuff.

I do not consider myself a pro-shipper. I may repost stuff alluding to freedom of expression, but I prefer to be considered neutral. I just believe people should have the right to create what they desire, i do not believe what you create may be morally just despite it. You are in charge of yourself, and should understand where your creation is no longer safely disconnected from our world.

Oops! Study Ordered by Utah Republicans Finds Gender-Affirming Care Benefits Trans Youth

Some state Republicans are already dismissing the findings.

Two years after being tasked with commissioning a review of medical evidence surrounding gender-affirming care for trans youth, Utah’s own state health department has concluded that trans healthcare bans “cannot be justified.” The Republicans who commissioned the study aren’t too happy about it.

Back in 2023, Utah Governor Spencer Cox signed a bill that placed an indefinite “moratorium” on doctors prescribing gender-affirming care like hormone therapy and puberty blockers to trans youth. That bill ordered the Utah Department of Health and Human Services to compile their report in order to produce recommendations for the state government on whether or not to lift the moratorium.

This week, the department delivered their long-awaited, over 1,000-page report — which is dated August 6, 2024 — to Utah lawmakers. The report’s authors found that “the consensus of the evidence supports that the treatments are effective in terms of mental health, psychosocial outcomes, and the induction of body changes consistent with the affirmed gender in pediatric GD [gender dysphoria] patients.”

The authors added that “the evidence also supports that the treatments are safe in terms of changes to bone density, cardiovascular risk factors, metabolic changes, and cancer.” Trans youth who had received gender-affirming care were within the bounds of normal, non-pathological ranges for these conditions.

beyond being an irritating sign of how sex-negative society at large is, "ugh this writer has a fetish!" is very much just a specific form of the general observation that writers tend to have recurring fixations. those recurring fixations can be anything from an incredibly broad theme like grief to just some really random object like skeletons and yet the only one people ever get up in arms over is when the focus of that fixation is overtly (or even just implicitly) sexual. nobody ever says "ugh! terry pratchett explored a relevant political issue through fantasy tropes again! evil man!" because that would be laughable. but god forbid one guy be a little bit into feet.

These two are absolutely correct and, if i may add;

I am someone who despises being around kids, and gets extremely upset when i see them sexualized. I once puked in my mouth because the neighbor dressed her 8 year old in a bikini. I get sick to my stomach when people talk about actually wanting kids. I dont hang around anyone who even cat calls someone who looks too young. Its gross; its fucked up.

Despite this, i am morbidly fascinated with huge age gaps in media and the detriment they have on people. I was exposed to sexual things below the age of 8, so i like reading stories where similar things happen. It makes me feel seen.

This is a similar case to most proshippers. You'll see very fast upon looking into these communities for a second that people even considering doing this stuff irl dont hide it at all.

Also, in censoring such media, like how there is an anti-pornography bill introduced in the US senate, people will eventually stomp on anything else they can. The intention is to get rid of the "morally" decepit first, so they can pave the way to get rid of anything abnormal. Why else do they call trans people "predators"?
