While rumors have not stopped circulating that the fate of Fusion as a group still appears bleak Lucas continues to shine. He began side promotions earlier this year by gracing the cover of Couture Magazine’s March issue and was featured in Nic’s successful digit single Memory. Now, CMH entertainment have revealed their plans for him this summer.
--- “One of our beloved artists, Amaryllis of Floral Recovery, pitched the idea of letting Lucas do a solo. Considering that Lucas has shown an incredible amount of growth in the short amount of time that he has been in the industry, we decided that we will have him live up to his fullest potential. Lucas will make a solo debut in either late June or early July with a track produced by Nic. He will do a full round of promotions before heading over to the United States in August as a guest for Kcon New York. Please continue to support him throughout his new endeavors.”
Are you excited for Lucas’ solo promotions? Do you think is a sign that the rumors are true about Fusion disbanding? Either way we wish him the best of luck! Comment with your thoughts below.
It appears as though the rumors circulating about cmh-entertainment holding auditions for new Fusion members was true after all! Today the company revealed the group’s new main rapper for the male portion of the team. His stage name G.I. stands for Greatest Individual as he is said to have excellent rapping and beatboxing skills.
Chromes, let’s give a warm welcome to the newest addition to Fusion and Fusion XY! Here is a teaser picture below:
Rapper Nic drops digital single featuring Fusion’s Lucas!
On the 19th of March upcoming Greek-Korean rapper Nic ( niccology * ) digitally released a track titled Memory. This haunting break-up song showcases his remarkable skills as a musician and producer that goes beyond his rookie status. To accompany the military-style drum beat and his passionate rapping style Nic chose Fusion’s Lucas to give the emotional vocals needed for this song. The pair, who have been said to be friends since pre-debut, plan to do a few minor promotions together in celebration of their collaboration.
Although the group is still recovering from the tragedy they faced at the start of the year it has been confirmed by cmh-entertainment that they are making progress.
--- “Despite the rumors of disbandment Fusion will not be breaking up.
Leader and visual Sumar ( samanrenna ) has returned safely from her time abroad. She is as healthy and bright as ever. Now that she is back to the CMH family and Korea please welcome her warmly.
Lucas ( kawaiihyuk ) will continue to participate in side projects. After gracing the March edition of Couture magazine ( fxshionistxs ), where he was dubbed a power rookie, he is returning to music. Upcoming producer and rapper Nic ( niccology ) will be releasing a single this week featuring our maknae.
Thank you for all your support and anticipation for the future.”
It has also been said that auditions are opening up at the company and Fusion is looking for new members.
CMH Entertainment comments on rumors + Fusion's Activities
Last week rumors regarding CMH's current status in the industry began circulating. An inside source who has chosen to stay anonymous revealed that the company may be in trouble but left out details. Many of the rumors are saying the company is in a financial crises while others speculate deeper, personal issues are at the root of the supposed problems.
Netizens have also been concerned about what this would mean for their newly debuted group, Fusion, whose promotions have suddenly stopped.
CMH Entertainment has broken their silence with the following statement:
--"While it is true that the company has hit a bump in the road we assure you that we are taking care of our artists first. We deeply apologize for any worries and concerns we have caused. Please continue to support our label while we fix the mishaps.
Fusion will resume their debut promotions in January. The members are also apologetic for the sudden halt in activities and look forward to seeing the fans again soon. Thank you for all of your support."
Well, there you have it! Keep your heads up high, Chromes. Our favorite co-ed group will return to us soon enough.
Fusion makes a bold statement with debut MV release!
Earlier this morning Fusion's debut music video for Carnation was released! In the story version of the music video you can see each member suffering with their own version of hanahaki byou, which is a fictional disease of Japanese folklore where those who experience unrequited love vomit flowers. If the love is returned all will be well and the vomiting will end. However if the feelings never become requited there are only two ways that it could end. Watch the video below to find out what happens while listening to their alluring electro-like sound. {*ooc note: description of each member's story/role explained under the cut}
The start of the music video shows a blooming red carnation that holds the meaning of, "my heart aches for you." As the camera zooms out from the flower the journey begins.
A young man with a petite build and short blond hair is seen smiling and enjoying himself as he spends time with another male. It's clear that the two have a special bond with the warmth of their interactions and there is a glimpse of photo shown of them together as children. However, instead of two young boys there is a boy and girl. From this point forward it is revealed that this person is genderfluid with the biological sex of a female.
In contrast to the happy scenes Sumar can be seen throwing up forget-me-nots, which symbolize true love and memories. The love Sumar has for the childhood friend is pure and ongoing but the feelings have not been returned. The severity of the puking increases dramatically over the course of the music video. When the ending scene comes around, Sumar can be seen clutching onto the childhood photo with forget-me-nots surrounding them and heaving. The vomiting stops only for a moment. When it occurs again, this time a white-dried rose (with the meaning "Death is Preferable to Loss of Virtue") emits from Sumar's mouth before the young adult's eyes fall to a close upon falling victim to the tragic fate of death because the feelings were never returned.
2. Rhyme Scenes: Dahlia.
The beginning of Rhyme's story is pleasant and lovely. He is seen to be blissfully in love with the girl of his dreams. The relationship is a healthy one in which they are the target envy of those around them. One may think that they were the ray of sunshine of the music video with the way everyone else was headed down a road of pain yet this proved to not be true.
His girlfriend begins to change with him. She becomes increasingly distant while Rhyme does whatever he can to save their relationship. Unfortunately it was out of his control and he begins to vomit dahlias, which represent dignity, elegance, good taste, and instability. His girlfriend leaves him and in his heartbroken state, Rhyme can be seen beginning to emotionally spiral down. The vomiting of the dahlias won't stop. In his despair he attempts to get her back but it doesn't work. In his ending scene, Rhyme is found on a rooftop and looking out into the distance thoughtfully. His ending is left ambiguously with him in an uncertain state. It is left for the audience to interpret whether he commits suicide or finds a solution to the problem.
3. Lucas Scenes: Narcissus.
Lucas plays the role of a charming, confident young man who is able captivate those around him. He shows no weakness and may even come off as cold, distant, and perhaps cynical- especially with the glares he sends to a certain couple.
Another side to the story is seen when he is in private and vomiting narcissus flowers, which symbolize self-esteem, vanity, and "stay as sweet as you are." This is when it is revealed that his bold nature is actually more of a front where he puts a wall up to deal with the pain of unrequited feelings. When the severity of the flower puking increases he goes to the hospital. He learns that if the feelings are never returned he will die yet there is a surgery that will remove the flowers and feelings for that person. Urgent for a solution, he goes into surgery. When he is lying on the operation table before the procedure beings, the flashbacks he has to the person he loves reveals that he actually loves the boy and was jealous of the girl. Thus, his struggle with homosexuality in an unaccepting society contributed to his denial. The scene ends with the start of his operation.
With Rhyme's last scene being the entire end of the music video, as the camera zooms out of focus from him a striped carnation can be seen blowing in the wind. Striped carnations symbolize refusal and rejection.

[✿] Although there was a delay due to technical issues, Fusion's MV teaser for Carnation has been released!
The first few seconds of the clip is peaceful by showing a blooming red carnation flower. However, the beat of the music then intensifies once a montage plays to give you a glimpse into a dance scene and each member, respectively. Although their flower crowns are no where to be seen each member of the group can be quickly spotted in their own separate scenarios with serious or pained expressions, a few are even hovering over as they clutch their stomachs. At the end of the clip, a line from the song is sung as it cuts to a withering striped carnation.
Between the picture and MV teasers, there's no doubt that symbolism is crucial to the group's debut concept. To put the pieces together stay tuned for their full music video! The music video is scheduled to be released on time this Wednesday morning before their debut stage later that night.
{*ooc note: a fictional video has not been made by the muns. like regular roleplay, build an image based on the description above. thanks!}
