yes this is about samirah al abbas and what about it

- if they’re hijabi, they won’t have their hair showing 

- obviously sometimes it slips, like if they’re not wearing an underpiece to hold it in place and it gets windy or something, but they’re not going to wear it with their hair showing

- same with their neck. please

- they’re wearing hijab? they’re wearing loose clothes now too

- they’re also going to wear full sleeved shirts and long pants

- general rule for shirt sleeves: four fingers of skin from the wrist up can show

- many hijabis also try to make sure their shirt is long enough to cover their butt, or they’re wearing really loose pants

- they’re not gonna wear anything form-fitting. please

Okay hold on a sec, I need to stop OP right here for a minute because this is the 3rd time I’ve seen a post like this recently and Non-Muslims don’t know any better.

EVERY MUSLIM IS DIFFERENT! Every HIJABI is different! We are not a monolith! There are degrees of religious coverage even amongst hijabis!

Look, none of us are going around in mini skirts and showing cleavage but plenty of us are not this strict about our clothing. Like y’all check out the hijabi influencers on Instagram for an idea of how diverse we are on clothes!

What Muslim characters wear isn’t just up to their religion, take cultural influences into account! A Pakistani girl is not going to wear the same thing as an American one. A more conservative hijabi would follow these rules, others would say that this is too revealing, wear an Abaya over your clothes. I knew women that wore black clothes, niqab and gloves. I knew others that refused to wear makeup period and others that went full glam every day.

Personally I wore hijab with skinny jeans and button downs with sleeves ¾ of the way rolled up in college. Some hijabis exclusively wore maxi skirts with shirts tucked in. What is loose to me is incredibly form fitting to another. And the vast majority of Muslim women don’t wear hijab at all.

Tl;dr when in doubt hijabis tend to wear more modest clothing but the parameters are a bit more flexible than this post says. Your characters background is important, and there is no ONE way every hijabi dresses 🤦🏽‍♀️. When in doubt ask a Muslim woman from that background or see canon outfits.
