I’m posting this here because I am not yet advertising this in ~real life~ and who even uses tumble anymore anyway except for me when I’m really desperate.

We have a date, and a church, and a reception venue. I’m going to get to marry my best friend... feels so much more real (and crazy!) now 🥰

Current mood:

Full on crying over Tali David, Anthony DiNozzo leaving NCIS, and Ziva David’s “death” even though I knew it was coming.

Low key think that when this lease is up I’d like to move in with my bf but high key don’t want to be a horrible person and ditch my current roommate... like, I’m cool to stay in this place for another year, but if I’m moving out I don’t want to move this summer AND next summer...

I find myself on tumblr, which I haven’t logged in to on my computer in... maybe two years? And which I open up maybe once every three months for about two minutes on my phone. This is the place on the internet where I’m most anonymous, where I can muse into the void without the fear of real life people seeing it.

My lease is up in July. My roommate is great; we were friends before we moved in to this place and continue to be. The landlord has kind of sucked, but now that seven months in we have everything all fixed and straightened out. We’re toying with the idea of moving out when the lease is up. Here’s the thing, though. If I’m going to move, I want to move in with my boyfriend. My boyfriend, who I have been dating for over four years (it’ll be 4.5 in June, when I’d be looking to start a new lease if we’re not staying here), so I don’t feel like I’m rushing things. And like, the more I think about it, the more I genuinely want to move in with him, for a whole long variety of reasons. But I would feel bad ditching my current roommate, because she doesn’t want to move back home, but she’s part time working and part time in grad school so she probably can’t afford a place on her own. So I’m in a weird place and I’m getting anxious about everything even though I know I have time (because I probably need to start looking in March or so if I’m not staying here).

I don’t even know why I’m posting this. Maybe to get it out, maybe to get input... if you see this and feel called to weigh in, please do.

I haven’t posted on this tumblr in God knows how long but whatever, here I am doing my thing.

My boyfriend and I were driving home from a friend’s party and he was telling a story about seeing people in the parking lot of a Panera we went to in college. The two of us went there as friends to get to know each other better (and prior to that neither of us had romantic feelings toward the other) and like two months later we were dating. Anyway, he was telling his mom about seeing these people they knew and she was like, “Oh, the Panera you went to with Amy! When I talked to you after that I just knew there was something there...” It’s so funny that she got that vibe because neither of us really KNEW we were into the other yet, but it triggered us starting to realize that.

Four years later (over 4 since we went to Panera but like two weeks shy of 4 years of dating) I can honestly say that we wouldn’t be where we were, individually or as a couple, had we not gone out on that non-date that started it all.

Being an adult is awesome. I love hyperventilating and sobbing and feeling like I need to claw out of my body... and having no one to talk about this so I end up back on the angsty website of my teen years...
