need this trend of white girls going from looking like jennifer aniston to looking like zoe kravitz to die right now
this isâŠ. horrendous
actually black ppl have BEEN having this conversation.. white/nonblack celebrities have been appropriating black culture for decades whenever they want to shake their âcleanâ bubble gum americas sweetheart images and break into more âadultâ and âbadboy/bad girl) images (because blackness is continually associated with aggression violence raunchiness, wild recklessness and hyper sexuality in media)
and as soon as theyâre ready to âsettle downâ and âmatureâ or they get the right contract in front of them, they take off the costume and return right back to their squeaky clean white image.
weâve been talking about white women appropriating our shit for years. but we get told âitâs just hairâ âitâs just fashionâ âitâs just a tanâ âyou guys donât OWN a (insert literally any trend here)â while they do the shit we get demonized and disrespected for..
we BEEN having this conversation,
but yâall ainât ready for THAT conversation.
Iâve been noticing this shit more and more lately with celebrities, etc. Saddening to find out people have been trying to call it out for quite some time, yet it continues to happen

man i was talking to a woman in one of my classes about adhd, and how I had only been diagnosed in my late teens after recognizing my symptoms from a psychology class.
and she told me she learned that she had adhd from tiktok. that the all-knowing algorithm had shown her videos from people who talk about adhd and she related, went to her doctor, and in two hours got a diagnosis. it took me three months to get a diagnosis because of all the tests and tests i had to send to people who knew me as a child and report cards from before the age of 12 etc.
at this point iâm kinda sceptical. adhd symptoms are similar to the focus- and attention- disrupting effects of heavy tiktok usage. so we start discussing symptoms, the practical ones that i incur in everyday life.
and she kind of doesnât have them? granted, she said she was diagnosed with inattentive adhd (ADHD-IN) and I have combined (ADHD-C). but she isnât late for things, and she doesnât have time blindness. she couldnât relate to the roadblocks of basic tasks (sorry if you can easily send emails or pay bills and you say you have adhd i donât trust you). she doesnât struggle with the constant forgetfulness and abysmal short-term memory loss.
we talked more and she absolutely has a history of trauma. i donât want to go into details but basically she doesnât talk to her family and there were incidents of harassment and terror campaigns and abuse. but trauma and adhd have some overlapping symptoms.
for example: symptoms for both include disorganization, poor self-esteem, problems concentrating and being inattentive, irritability/ hot temper. thereâs emerging scientific research about how one of the epigenetic factors that contribute to developing adhd is early childhood trauma.
so my theory is that she was recklessly diagnosed, and has now made it like a personality trait. when i talk about adhd, it is and always feels like a disorder. itâs negatively impacting my brain, primarily the PFC and the symptoms constantly interfere with my well-being and functioning as a person. but for her it was like a quirky personality trait that she was happy to talk about.
anyway this is a long-winded way of saying iâm worried about how publicized mental health conditions are, and how quickly people will assign a disorder to themselves because of the influencers on tiktok. it frustrates me so much when people cheerily say âadhd isnât a disorder! itâs just a different way of thinking / a superpower/ only a disability under capitalism!â and itâs always people like this, who either have mild adhd that isnât that hard to deal with or accommodate, or were misdiagnosed with something else. and it contributes to this âwoob-ificationâ of mental illness where itâs cute and quirky, and severe symptoms are disapproved of because everyone has this sanitized version of how people with mental disorders behave.

I usually think about other stuff.
In the bathroom and cascada every time we touch just came on and the girl in the stall next to me was like oh my god this is my song and started peeing harder
Still a good precaution. And definitely necessary for everyone for when life has returned to normal in like three years just in case you meet the love of your life and theyâre positive.
Couldnât share this fast enough.
Rebloging this to add a little more info because itâs very important:
Antiretroviral therapy when used correctly can cause the userâs âviral loadâ (your viral load is how much of the virus is in your bloodstream), to drop because the medicine prevents HIV from creating copies of itself.
Regular blood tests are done to monitor your viral load, and after taking the medication long enough, it can drop so low that it becomes âdurably undetectableâ. This means that the HIV virus in you has become so miniscule that it canât be detected, and by extension canât be transmitted either. Itâs important to note that in order to be considered durable undetectable, you MUST test as undetectable for at least 6 months after testing as undetectable for the first time.
Also very important, being durably undetectable does NOT mean that youâre cured or that the virus is gone, not by a longshot. The HIV virus is still very much there, but instead of being active, itâs gone dormant in a small number of cells called âviral reservoirsâ. This why itâs EXTREMELY important that even after achieving durably undetectable status, you continue to take your Antiretroviral medications correctly. Because if you stop, the HIV virus will reemerge from the viral reservoirs and pick up right where it left off in creating copies of itself, and you will have to start all over again if you want to become durably undetectable again.
This is great advice for people struggling with or know someone who has HIV.
Donât know anyone with HIV personally, but still important to share nonethelessÂ
Best I can tell as an outside observer, this dude is like a kpop boy for people that take adderall
i had horrible diarrhea today :(
cant do anything on this fucking website
My dad fell asleep watching some youtube video in the living room but his youtube is set to auto play and i just heard âBig foot mating callâ before the loudest guttural noise imaginable reverberated this whole house. And hes still asleep
Step mom came out from her room and was like âHey Jim? Why?â
if this somehow makes it to a facebook meme page and my dad sees it i will literally never forgive any of you
