Nexus was an adventurer before the tadpole, so they're a bit roughed up, having quite a few scars. They've also gained a lot of muscle from time on the road (and of course some dragon dna helping them out) but they've also never been one to attempt keeping a set of abs.
The dragonic bloodline is FRESH from their father's side, so they have quite a few traits that aren't common in the average tiefling. Their horns moreso resemble a dragonborn's crests and they have a lot of scales scattered across their body. The tip of their tail also resembles a star, something not found in their tiefling family.
They grew up a scrappy young kid in the lower city. Their mother worked at sharess's caress as an escort for most of their childhood, so neither they nor their brother have ever met their respective fathers. Nexus found themselves having to take care of their brother while their mom was working, so they developed a very close bond with him. When they became a teen they set off on some short adventures to help contribute to the household monetarily. Their brother admired them for this and decided to set off on his own adventure whilst they were gone. He never returned. Nexus's mother blamed them for this and disowned them, and truth be told, Nexus blames themself as well.
Astarion: at first they have a kind of rocky relationship, Nexus is totally in favor of his pickpocketing and will even distract targets (i imagine while i have them locked in conversation they just start using that 17 charisma to yap their ear off lmao) so they get along on that regard. BUT nexus doesnt like killing innocent people so astarion thinks theyre "no fun." But toward the end of act 1/beginning of act 2 he realizes that theyre totally not into him at all and that confuses him as to why theyre nice to him. After araj or whatever her name was theyre solidly friends, which he is grateful for. Like with gale most of act 3 is nexus trying to convince him not to lose his soul and become cazador 2.0, which he appreciates. At the reunion i think he would hug them bc thats bogus that he wouldnt because theyre stinky
Pink = romantic, green = friendship, purple = respect, gray = mixed feelings/cautious, red = dislike, blue = besties :)
Karlach: Nexus had a very "blah blah blah backstory stuff" reaction to karlach (me too bro) and immediately started flirting with her, the double fire resistance was putting in the work at the tiefling party. They make it official in act 2 after fixing her engine and convinced her to go back to avernus with them so she doesn't have to die. Post game I imagine they try their best to fix her engine with little success so nexus locks tf in and learns wish to give her an organic heart instead. (Based off of karlach's line about a wish spell in their back pocket)
Gale: with Gale the autism just clicked with these two and they spend 90% of the their travel time yapping about the most random stuff. In act 2 with his scene under the stars they convince him to not blow himself up and calls him their best friend (i drew out this idea but idk when ill finish it digitally). Most of act 3 is them trying to convince him not to turn into a god because theyre wholeheartedly convinced that it will just kill him outright. Like "damn you really didnt learn your lesson" and theyre very excited to see eachother at the reuinion.
Wyll: first impression of Wyll was super good, they were totally down to help him hunt a devil, but when they found out that karlach was not infact a devil and saw that wyll still wanted her dead for a bit they were kinda put off by him. Sort of like "wtf is this guy's deal" but when mizora revealed herself and he got his horns they def chilled out and respected him a bit more. After finding out everything and dealing with wyll's daddy issues they are 100% down to just absolutely fuck up mizora for him and are friends (however he sort of sees them more as a leader than anything). They didnt have wyll go with them to avernus because i felt awful about making him 3rd wheel when he had his own issues to deal with, so before they leave avernus for good nexus and karlach help him kill her.
Shadowheart: Nexus freed her on the nautiloid and was pretty okay with her until she started talking about shar and refused to stfu about it. Nexus isnt that big on gods so doesnt really care all the much about who worships who, but the more they learned about shar the more they were like "hey girl what the hell". They convinced her to spare Aylin and once shadowheart wasnt all about shar they got along a lot easier. They like her parents a lot too and was very happy to see them all together again.
Lae'zel: The two of them just never got along too well, especially when lae'zel was all about vlaakith (like shadowheart and shar). When lae'zel came on to them it also put them off a lot, especially with the slight diss to karlach. Like shadowheart, once lae'zel got away from vlaakith she was a lot easier to get along with. They weren't quite friends, but there was a mutual respect there.
Halsin: Nexus freed Halsin at the goblin camp and killed the leaders there, and they found halsin pretty chill. At the tiefling party they drunkenly made conversation and he interpreted it as flirting, developing some feelings for them. In the second act Nexus was very in favor of getting rid of the shadow-curse, thus enforcing these feelings. In act 3 when he confessed, it was sort of awkward because they do not feel the same and see him as more of an older brother/father figure but he was receptive and it was pretty chill after that. They remained friends and got absolutely shitfaced together at the reunion party.
