Well, Marvel already called Sylvie a hero yesterday so yeah, she will continue to be portrayed as one in season 2.
Oh they have been calling her a hero for months now, Waldron said this in June
Putting aside what he says about trauma (because it's so insulting it makes my blood boll) it's absolutely hilarious that he claims Loki has been selfish in the past but what Sylvie did in ep6 was a "crusade for good and liberation" when she couldn't have been more selfish putting the lives of every single being in the multiverse at risk just so she could have her revenge.
But it's more of the same, these people never judge the action, they decide it's right or wrong depending on who does it.
Exactly this 👇
His trauma invalidates him, her trauma justifies and excuses her.
Fuck Michael Waldron
You know, as much as I hate it, I think we all have to come to a point where we realize that our Loki is not the Loki they are portraying now. Our Loki doesn't exist anymore. Not in the MCU. They've retconned him until he no longer exists as we knew him. Even Tom is acting like Loki is this narcissistic, selfish prick who "learns to love" someone else. The latest interview pissed me off so much because Sophia- who probably hasn't really done her research either- claims that "these two have never cared for another being before" and we all know that's bullshit. Loki DIED several times because he cared TOO MUCH.
I will die on this hill.
See, if they had actually addressed this whole thing that way it would have made more sense.
Instead of saying TVA!Loki is exactly the same as MCU!Loki, they should have made it so when someone is taken from their timeline and they become a variant their personality changes which is why Loki in the TVA feels like a complete different person. They could have explored a different angle with him, turned him into some kind of OC character who still has certain things similar to the Loki we know but different.
[Which is still not what we wanted since we were asking for them to dive deep into the story of the Loki we know but at least it would have been more interesting that what we got]
But they didn't do that, they claimed TVA's Loki is exactly the same man we always knew, and he's judged by the things he did in the past (except they're completely devoid of nuance and context), but he acts out of character for absolutely no reason. They retconned him and turned him into a bland and simplistic man who has no personal wants and needs, and no arc of his own, then looked us in the eye and told us he had always been that way, which is laughable because we know that's not true.
