“And you are so adorable.” Luce couldn’t help laughing as she bounced, and he quickly reached out to place a hand on her shoulder and stop her in place. “Easy there, chérie.”

“Oh, no, I’m not gonna be doin’ the study. We gotta get one of the academically talented kids to help us, but I do agree about the glory of naps.”

“It’s against my religion to not enjoy a nap. That’s just unrealistic.”

“Awww, well thats a shame, but understandable. I mean I wouldn’t want to give up a pug, and like I said, I’m a cat person”

“I wish I could love cats, but I can’t. It’s really sad, actually.”

“I’ve been in Europe recently, so the weather is much nicer here! However, I can’t wait summer, then I can enjoy a pool again!”

“Yeah, I guess it’s warmer here. That sounds really awesome, though. I’m jealous.”

“Less parental lectures and more parental disappointments. I met my birth parents over break, and it was a disaster.” She admitted. “I’m dealing, though. It just makes it so much easier to be back here.”

“That sounds fun, but also kind of scary. I understand why you’d want to be back.”

“Maybe Odin is fat because he doesn’t do walks. Ever thought of that?”

“Okay, that’s true, but he’s also really cute. Because he’s fat.”

“A pug? Really? They are so adorable, I can understand why you miss him. Do they not allow pets at school or something? You’ll have to show me pictures sometime.”

“I guess they do, but my family would never let me take him. They’re all way too attached. He’s the baby of the family, no one wants to give him up.”

“We are soul sistas !!” Eva exclaimed, a grin on her lips. “How was your break, though? I’m sure you got to spend a lot of time with your pup.”

“It was pretty good, actually. Lots of parental lectures and stuff like that. But, you’re right. I got to spend a lot of time with my pup. What about you?”

Why hasn’t there been some sort of scientific research done on why some naps make you feel like a god whose been sleeping on a cloud and others make you feel like you’ve been buried in a pile of cow dung?

“Naps are the best thing I’ve ever experienced. Are you writing this down? Start your study.”

“I love it when it’s night but all you need is a hoodie, it may be winter but this city wears it damn well.”

“It’s still too cold, I think. It should be summer already.”

“It’d really like to tell you to does, but I’d be lying big time.  I haven’t stopped thinking about my dog since the plane ride here.  Heart wrenching.  We’ll get through this together… maybe.”

“Isn’t it funny? Everyone else is complaining about missing their families and their friends. Their boyfriends, even. And here we are –– we want our dogs back. We have our priorities straight. My dog has never done me wrong, he is my actual child. I miss my frikin’ dog.”

“I’ve got a husky pup that you can hang out with for a little while, if you want. He loves to go on walks.”

“I don’t like walks –– Odin is fat he doesn’t do walks. I’m here for the cuddles.”
