unironically though as a kid my digimon daydreams were focused around how I wished friends were real like in the cartoon, because my experience of "friends" was "when a kid makes an agreement to stop bullying you so long as you do something for them or pay them in some way" and I figured thats just what friends were irl and that the ones in digimon were fantastical like the monsters were

one time i was making potato soup and i needed broth for it but i was out of broth. but in my dog food cabinet there was a carton of chicken broth that i had bought for my dog. now the box did say HUMAN GRADE and the ingredients were just bog standard chicken broth. it did say something about joint health for dogs on there. but the ingredients were normal. i even compared the ingredients list to some normal person broth and they were the same. so i did put dog broth in that soup and it did taste completely normal. but i did use the dog broth.

I'm Chinese, so I wonder if non-Chinese understand

that in the Chinese version of Disney’s Mulan, the fake name she gives is “Ping”, but her family name “Fa” in English is “Hua” in Chinese, therefore her full name is “Hua Ping”, which is literally “Flower Vase”, and that’s why Shang is so bewildered because it’s a silly name.
