MIMICS LAY EGGS????
If they want to yea. Basically, because they are in essence a lump of organic material with lots of fucked up stem cells scattered throughout, the only real requirement for reproduction is just having extra nutrients and material. Either they can decide “yea sure ill make a mini me” and figure it out consciously, or, after a certain threshold of extra stuff is reached, a baby mimic will basically just fall off. Like plants that grow really easily from cuttings(cacti, purple heart, etc) or things that reproduce via budding. It probably seems weird but it’s kinda necessary; the population would dwindle otherwise, because the vast majority of mimics will just prioritize getting More instead of, y’know, continuing the species.
This also means all second generation+ mimics are genetic clones, not that it really matters because after a while they’re going to have changed anyways just because of how their biology works. I. E. If you feed a baby mimic a banana and they decide “hmm I wanna be able to be this” they will literally become part banana. Make their funky stem cells copy the banana cells. Same goes for any kind of organic material mimics transform into, at least in cases where they’re not being lazy and just aiming for visually and texturally close enough.
Anyways to get back on topic if a mimic lays an egg they’re specifically choosing to do so instead of the usual means of creacher creation, hence why I specified that one would be a freak. Bro just drop a meat lump like a normal person :/
No I haven’t finished her new ref yet, yes I have made a Katacaima tupper already for the purpose of shitposting. Priorities!
In reality she’s a lot more suave about things but funney shitpost comes before making a character talk how they actually would. However she probably would disembowel someone for calling her a poor little meow meow so that one’s accurate.
VIBRATES EXCITEDLY
Finished another fan dragon! However this girl is actually based on a super old oc of mine! Her name is Katacaima, and I’ve wanted to make a dragon of her since before I even had an account. Massive thanks to the buddy pal friendo of mine who owned the original ungened g1 and sold her to me! Couldn’t have done this without them.
I’d share the character she is designed after but. I am currently in the process of revamping Katacaima’s design so her old ref is outdated and also Old Art Make Me Suffer.
Imagine if I actually made progress on my ov
Sorry for being super inactive here, with winter comes seasonal depression and with that comes difficulties drawing and writing. That, and school will be starting up again for me soon. This blog isn’t dead! Just... hibernating I guess.
Finally finished him!
This is cartoon-villain dude’s dad! Hence the very similar color schemes.
Once again I tried designing my own Mothman character and once again failed to capture the cryptid vibes, except this time he has harmless cartoon villain vibes.
I don’t have a name for him yet, rip.
I wanna draw more varied characters but idk how.
All I can draw is moth, not super detailed boat, buff but not really, just straight up a dragon/drake, too many eyes/arms/heads, circle with stuff on it, or friend shaped.
This post multiclasses(forgot the right word for it) as a shitpost and a cry for art related help
Hmm... y’all got anything in particular you’re interested in pertaining to the original universe? I’ve got character ideas/sketches but I wanna polish them before I post, but I don’t want this blog to be completely inactive until that eventually happens. I’ve got lots of free time & also want to figure more stuff out and just don’t know where to start.
Also, I wanna know what people would be curious about rather than making content that won’t be interesting or entertaining to read about/look at. I tend to focus on minor or specific stuff when left to my own devices so it helps to have others broaden the scope of what I pay attention to/think about.

Finally colored Katacaima after I made the lineart who knows how long ago.
She’s got fur in some places but not a lot. Also, yes she has kitty beans, no they are not valid.
*chanting* Moth god moth god moth god–
They don’t have a name/names yet, but they’re the patron god of navigation and cartography. They can tell you where you are no matter where that may be. The maps they help to create are prized for their accuracy and durability, but are very difficult to obtain. Those that aren’t hidden away or displayed in popular travel stops are held by the most respected of travellers and merchants, who could be considered legends on their own if they gained favor from such a god.
When I don’t know what to draw I default to dragon. So here’s a dragon that’ll have story eventually besides ‘old man who broke out of prison; was put in prison for practicing illegal magic and yet nothing was done to actually stop him from using it while incarcerated’.
No, his color scheme was not inspired by a pistachio, I swear.
Forgot to post them yesterday, but here’s these two! Once again, reworked Kirby fcs. I plan to redo these refs at a later date, as they’re a bit messy and have not great anatomy.
Polemous is what the cool kids call ‘a piece of shit’.
He’s old, yet somehow maintains a middle aged appearance. I’m not going to spoil how. He’s also rich due to inheritance from his grandmother, and remains so due to being in a place of power over his village. He’s done good things in the open, some even at his own risk, to gain popularity and love from the public, but behind closed doors he’s cunning and cruel. Not the sort you want to be on the bad side of, as punchable as he is.
Thydides, on the other hand, is basically the village grandpa.
He’s old, wise, and a good story teller, using magic to turn his tales into somewhat of a performance. Unfortunately, doing so is taking a toll on him, though he is yet to realize it. His wisdom, otherwise, has earned him much respect, but some individuals in power worry he may eventually discover their wrongs committed in secret.
His broken horn is from a failed attempt to silence him; a reminder that he is not as safe in his old age as he once was.
there seem to be a lot of bugs in your ov! is there a reason for that? exactly how many kinds of bugs are there?
There’s two reasons for the large number of bugs.
One, it kinda reflects the number of bugs that exist in real life compared to the number of other creatures, albeit in a much more simplified and evened-out way(so like 25% bugs, the rest is everything else). Part of that is because I don’t know how I could write/keep track of families that are like ‘parents and their upwards of 2,000 children’, so I’ve just made it to where there’s just a lot of bugfolk, but they tend to have slightly more moderately sized families. Toukata has 7 siblings(and probably more to come) for example.
Secondly, I just really like bugs! They were actually my first big interest before I got into Kirby. I’ve had a lot more time to think about them and get inspired by them. There’s such a huge variety of different types with different shapes, colors, behaviors, etc. that I can work with, especially in a fantasy setting.
I actually base a lot of my bug characters after actual ones I’ve encountered, most notably unnamed Bee Buddy and Cheeto. I plan to design a few others as well, but I want to make sure to balance out the number of bugs compared to nonbugs. That’ll also give me time to think about how their different cultures interact and stuff.
There’s going to be a multitude of different bugs, and I’m going to try to design characters based off lesser-known ones. I’ve been focused on moths lately, but I’m gradually starting to expand the range of what I draw. The next pair I make are going to be based off of a dobsonfly and an ant lion, for example. Two underrated bugs!
That isn’t to say I’m not going to make unique bug creatures as well, though.
I’m back and gonna be doing some more work on this blog, making a page with more info about how it’ll operate and such.
