Though it was often hard to communicate, their love for Jesus and compassion for others showed in their joy and in their actions. In my hardest times during this missions trip, their love through actions spoke loudly to me and helped me persevere in furthering God's kingdom. It's always hard to say goodbye, but I'm so thankful for you and I pray that God will bless you each abundantly and that Thailand will see more of God's goodness in each of you 👭👭😢❤️ #thanksgivings #fcbcthailand2014 (at Golden Triangle, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos)

Hello from Thailand!

Sawadeekaa! (Hello!) Wow! We just finished day one of teaching here in Thailand! This trip (in it's full three days) has been so adventurous and full of interesting happenings! It feels SO great to be back! Here are some thoughts that I want to share! 1. Yesterday our team had the opportunity to worship and have Sunday service with the Lisu tribe, which is a village in the mountains that are an hour away from Chiang Rai. It was a huge blessing to worship with our fellow brothers and sisters despite having different backgrounds and languages, and spend time with the Lisu children. For me personally, it was absolutely beautiful to come together and praise our one true God that has saved us from our sin and has made us alive and allows us to worship him in English and in Thai! I am reminded that our God is a God that loves all people, and he has made us perfectly the way we are. Reflecting on Psalm 139 reveals how wonderful of a creator our God is because he created us each the way we are and knows us more than we know ourselves--and our nationalities, ethnicities, and languages are each unique to how we are made in His image. I was seriously encouraged yesterday to see that though Thailand has a very small percentage of Christians, there is a Church here that is working hard to love on their people and further God's kingdom. 2. I am so glad to be back in Thailand. Despite humid weather and crazy rains, I am humbled to be able to see how God is moving in Thailand, with missionaries and churches and fellowships that are pouring their lives into bringing others to Christ. I honestly could complain about the sticky weather and the nasty bugs that are literally everywhere, but that can't take away the joy that I have found being back in Thailand. Today I saw old students that I met last year and their joy in seeing their teachers once again made me so excited to be able to come back and build on my relationship with them again! I am stoked to see how God will give me opportunity to share the best true story in the world with them, the Gospel, through conversations about our own lives. I am anxious and ready to share with them this love that has driven me to come back to Thailand. 3. THE FOOD IS SOOOOO GOOD. Ugh it's only day three and I'm dying from having so much good food. So fresh and plentiful and SPICY!!! Ahhhhh Thailand you are awesome for being a country that lives off of spicy foods!! 4. Random/crazy things today: • Rochelle almost died from being attacked by vicious evil little monkeys!!! Omg I died watching them come near her!! Seriously scariest moment in Thailand this far • I was super fabulous and ride a bike...in a dress....in the rain too. Pictures to come soon! Lol • If I don't stop eating all the spicy goodness soon (which I won't be stopping....) my skin is gonna hate me. But it's okay. I can deal with that...CAUSE ITS SO GOOOOOOD. Sorry this was a lengthy post, but clearly, things have been great here. While things are going well, my team is still desperate for your prayers. Continue to pray for... 1. Health--pray for strong bodies as we have 13 days remaining in Thailand! 2. Opportunities--for us to create space to have conversations with our students about Jesus and his love for these students! 3. Attitude--to have the most Christ like attitudes we can possibly have as a team, and to not only be examples of Jesus to our students but even to each other as a team. EEEEPS! I think it's absolutely hilarious and quite amazing how similar I am to this beautiful sister! Thankful for our week together and that extended MOI time we had! halfway there.

it's so surreal that I've finished my second year at Irvine. so thankful for God's goodness and His grace that has sustained me through this crazy year. I think that this year I've definitely been able to learn to be a better student and use time more wisely, and I've also learned to be satisfied and content in the Lord and his provisions. I also think that this year has been so growing in the way I value and cherish my friends. I'm learning to be okay with losing time with people that I once spent so much time with. I'm still learning to deal with loneliness that I sometimes feel despite being an extrovert.

ah. I have lots on my heart and on my mind, but a tumblr post would not suffice to express my thoughts. but i am thankful that this year has been what it was.
