Thinking I’m gonna put this blog on an indefinite hiatus... I’ve been having a hard time motivating myself to RP as Hisui since I simply can never find the right words for him ; v ; I’m still gonna stick around the community over at @readerofhearts though.

“It is a pleasure to meet you Hisui.”
There is a brief moment in which Richard wonders if the other recognizes him. He does not appear familiar, but then he could not hope to recognize every single one of Windor’s citizens no matter how he might try. Given there was no real need to provide his title, Richard saw little to gain by identifying himself as king.
“Yes, you’re quite right,” he agreed. “I suppose they would not wash well either.” Though he had never tried, the monarch could only imagine the sort of sticky mess that might ensue.
“If you’re looking for a way to make gald, citizens often post requests at the inn, and rewards for fulfilling them. It was one such request that brought me out here, would you like to assist me in fulfilling it? If so I would be happy to allow you the reward. It should be enough to replace these gels easily.”
“Though I’m afraid it does carry some degree of danger. If you are unfamiliar with battle, I would suggest checking with the inn for a different request. I would not wish to see you get hurt over something like this.”
“Huh, you sure you’re cool with that?”
It felt strange, being offered to tag along with a stranger he barely knew, and to be promised the reward for a request they had set out on completing. Hisui felt a little embarrassed that he’d screwed up badly enough to get to this point, but he felt it’d be criminal to deny such a generous offer only to wander around aimlessly looking for income.
“I appreciate the offer, but I dunno, man. I’d feel bad taking the whole reward, what do you say we split it?”
Or direct me to a different request that rewards in gald so I don’t feel like I’m mooching off of your kindness, he thought to himself, if only a moment too late.
“And ya don’t need to worry about me, I’m plenty capable of fighting.” He smirked, raising his arm to proudly show off his Soma that had taken the form of dual-crossbows, Gale Arc.
Kohaku hates it when people get into fights. Whenever I’d get into one, she’d always get mad and come stop me…

“Think little of it.” Richard pulled as the man gripped his hand, helping the other back to his feet.
It was quite the sight he’d come across upon the highroad, a man face down on the ground and the road littered with gels. He hoped the man not attacked by bandits, but it would be strange for them to leave their prize upon the road. That he did not seem to be injured allayed the king’s fears that he’d been attacked.
“Were these gels all yours? I’m afraid it seems most of them have been damaged. I can help you collect the remaining ones if you would like.” Richard pauses a moment at the man’s confusion.
“Ah- forgive me for not introducing myself.” He offers a hand, this time in greeting. “My name is Richard. Might I ask yours?”
“Richard, huh.” Maybe he didn’t know this man after all? “I’m Hisui.”
He scratched the back of his head with his gloved hand–as gesture he found had become a habit of his–and let out a heavy sigh.
“Nah, it’s good. Who wants to eat a gel that’s coated in dirt, anyways?”
His issue now was the fact that he had no more gald, and he wasn’t about to run home to tell his sister that he’d tripped and put their combined allowance for the week to waste. He doubted the shopkeeper would give him a refund, either.
“I just need to find a way to make some quick gald and buy the stuff again.”
❝There’re better places to take a nap that on the ground, you know. Give me your hand.❞
A gentle voice followed by the padding of feet startled Hisui as he lied face-down on the ground.
“Er, thanks man.”
Hisui reluctantly grabbed the speaker’s hand, though not entirely sure who he was, and allowed himself to be pulled up.
Okay, maybe trying to book it back home after buying Gels in the capital wasn’t his smartest move. Thanks to his slip-up, everything he just bought had been scattered along the street and stomped on by unknowing civilians.
Great. Kohaku’s gonna be ticked at me!
He glanced back at the man who had helped him up, only to realize that this man may not be such a stranger.
“Hey, aren’t you...?”

I’m feeling really impulsive right now, so I’ve... kinda been thinking about turning this into a somewhat multi-muse Hearts blog with Hisui as the primary muse?
I love Richea to death, but I feel like the things I can do with her are limited in a way that just doesn’t sit right with me, and I have about 5 trillion things to say about Hisui.... but I don’t want to drop her completely!! And I still want to try writing Creed as well, so I think this’ll be the best way to go about things.
So... yeah. I’m not dropping any threads written for Richea, but in the meantime I’m gonna work on making this a Hisui blog, with her and probably Creed being available on request.

Ah, I’m sorry for not really being active lately ; v ; There’s a few Richea-related things that I want to write up/translate, but I’ve been a bit lacking in motivation and life’s been stressful, so I haven’t been feeling up to writing her as much. When I feel up to it more, I’d like to make a starter post of my own and reblog some memes to get back into things a bit.
Yesterday, I was flipping through the Tales of Hearts R Complete Guide, and something on Hisui’s character page caught my eye. There’s a paragraph titled “In love with the Sleeping Princess,” and I just had to translate it.
(There’s spoilers so don’t read it if you haven’t beaten the game)
When Kohaku’s Spiria Core was shattered, Hisui knew right away that the person to blame was Shing. He later learned that the one who shattered her Spiria Core wasn’t Shing - but in fact, the woman who lived inside of Kohaku’s Spiria; Richea. Upon meeting Richea, Hisui was rather hostile towards her. This changed when he learned of the harsh fate ahead of her and her intentions to save their world. He soon began to fall in love with her. Now that Hisui was familiar with what it meant to be in love, he slowly became more accepting of Shing and Kohaku’s relationship. When the time came, he saw the loving woman off with a gentle smile, as she went into an eternal slumber.

“Whoa…!” Beryl gaped at the many, many scratches that littered Richea’s hands. “Maybe they have some sort of gloves for cooking? Probably not, huh…”
She opened the bag, eager to try a cookie. Richea had wounded herself to make these treats for her, and Beryl would eat every last crumb! Popping one in her mouth, her eyes lit up.
“Amazing!!” Beryl squealed, kicking her feet excitedly. So light, so buttery! Despite her clumsiness, Beryl was certain Richea was a cooking genius. “These are wonderful, Richea!! Thank you so much!!"
Beryl then began to gobble down the sweets with manners mildly abandoned.
A smile crept upon Richea’s face as she watched Beryl eat the cookies she had baked. More than anything, it warmed her heart to see her friend so happy, even over something as small as a cookie. “You’re certainly welcome. If you’d like, I’ll try to make some more next time I see you.” She stared at her bandaged hands, and realized Beryl had a point--perhaps she could look into getting some gloves for next time, too, while she was at it. She glanced around the surrounding area, wondering to herself if any of the shops sold any such gloves...
