Who am I? You can just call me Gangly (he/him). I’m an artist primarily interested in macabre and video game media.
What do I make? As is typical for Tumbler I make a variety of fanarts and OCs. I also want to get more into the writing and AU side of things in the near future.
What are your interests? My main CURRENT interests include Little Nightmares (mainly specific characters or media, like the Kins from LN3 or The Lonely Ones book), Cult of the Lamb (mainly due to alligator-blood and bialejaja’s AUs, which have inspired me to want to make my own), and my own OCs (who I’ve posted about before on this blog, just not nearly enough).
What programs do you use? Clip Studio Paint, plus some free browser editors for editing. I also do traditional arts with pen and pencil from time to time.
Sorry for being absent the last week guys, I was taking my yearly trip to the beach 2-3 hours away and I guess just forgot to mention it??? Sorry for suddenly going dark like that-
But uuuuhhhhh yeah, while I was down there I realized our hotel was right next to an arts pavilion doing a weekly painting session that I was able to attend, and since the whole thing reminded me of a similar event they had mentioned in the past, I did this painting of @alllgator-blood 's Shamura, based heavily on the "comfort character gore core" series of paintings they've shown on their blog!
Tbh I'm not 100% proud of how it turned out since we only had about 90 minutes to make our paintings and I was the LAST person to show up, plus these were being done with acrylics (which I personally find to be way too sloppy and difficult for my liking). So the whole time I was just in a panic scrolling through the refs on my phone, running around grabbing paints, and slathering the layers on top of each other while just going "FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK" to myself the whole time until I ended up being the last person in the building period. So uh, yeah, just ignore the mistakes like the lack of crown eye or the asymmetrical teeth + eye parts. I'm sure you'll enjoy it though Riv!

In terms of other stuff I did down there, aside from the beach I also went to an aquarium a few blocks from the hotel and got pictures of these beautiful creatures I hope everyone will like (especially River), and also Heket's ass-
(Fun fact, the gators in the first pictures were apparently rescues from someone's basement-)
And yeah, this was pretty much all the stuff I considered the highlights of my trip (or at least stuff I was able to get pictures of), so to end off I'll share a meme I made based on this hotel sign I saw that made me laugh-

"More like Crinkled-Tissue Paw lmao" was done for RavioliComics and features their Warrior Cat OC Birch Paw as well as their other humanoid OC Maidren! As soon as I saw this ferocious creature I just had to draw it as a tribute to the infamous crinkled tissue kitten image lmao! Despite it's shitpost nature I'm glad they enjoyed it!
"The Funny Cow and Elephant Too!" was done for Charmy_Chippy and features both his cow OC Kavita and Elephant OC Motu! I wanted to make Kavita look a little more realistic in my style, which is why I tried rendering the textures on her fur etc!
"Steampunk Cowboy Portrait" was done for morushroom and features their steampunk coboy character Renato! I really liked this design, so I had hoped to adapt it in a sort of monochrome portrait style! Admittedly I don't think it's the best and the proportions seem a little off, but I was a little strapped for time and didn’t really get a chance to fix it.
"Silly Alien Chick!" was done for @samanitamusc-art-ia and features their alien character Jane! Naturally given the horror-themed design I just had to make a rendition of it!
(Also it took me until ALL the lining was done to realize the bulges on the side of her head were part of the hoodie and not like, weird fin-appendages or something. So those are a little out of proportion, but I don’t think it ruins the piece!)
AAAAAAAnd finally the last piece I have to show was done for @skelleste but NOT actually posted, since I realized after it was finished that it would probably break the site's rules regarding low-effort/shitposty content. So I decided not to risk it and put it up on my other socials instead, including this one!
For those that don't know this is basically just supposed to be a shitty meme replicating those terrible AI KreekCraft videos of him telling gubbies to do their chores and them ripping them in half like a goddamn vultrimite (look up "kreekcraft did you do your chores" to see what I mean). rest in piss sticky lmao
And yeah, that's pretty much all the Artfight stuff I did this year! Admittedly it's WAY less than I thought I would do (thanks in no small part to my wifi being fucky all month), but I suppose I can look at this as a learning experience and figure out how to streamline/prioritize whatever art I make for next year! "Fly and Fish-ing" was done for @marshadellow and features their *stylops* cotl oc Autolycus! It seems my character Manerfish has become curious about his fly friend's little headwear trinket! Surely though there is of course no cause for alarm here, after all it would be hard for him to steal such a thing from a career thief who's already both stolen it themselves and lived to tell the tale...
...So why even act interested in something he can't have himself? ...Oh well, who cares!
"The Psycho Lamb and Sadist Owl" was done for @bialejaja and features their version of both Lamb (Lyon), Kallamar and Leshy as well as my owl character Ulbricht! (Who I actually don't think I've shown off before??? Well I suppose this is as good an introduction as any.)
Basically this is just a *funny* idea of what I imagine would happen if these two insane malefactors/heads of their respective "communities" met for a casual conversation about the best torture methods for keeping their subordinates in check. Kall and Leshy seem to both be enjoying the results as well as you can see…

"Cockblocked, or...Owlblocked?" was done for @whysoblue2 and features her own version of Kallamar as well as Saleos, plus Ulbricht once again! Clearly he is not a fan of Kallamars in general, he's already tracked down a second one! It makes sense of course that he'd be drawn to them given they all seem to be naturally cowardly and inept, though I feel like in this case he may also dislike one who is especially... *close* with his spouses as you can see. Oh well, the worst he could probably do is yell at them...right?

Now that Artfight is officially over I figured it's time I showed off all the pieces I've done over the last month. For part 1 of 3 I'll start with the Little Nightmares characters:
"Descent to Pony Jail" was done for @icefeather22 and features their pony version of Mono. Since Mono also appears in DTN I had a silly idea where that story is exactly the same except Mono and the other jailed kids are all ponies while Hush is...still completely human. Also Mono is floating. Considering the "incident" described in the comic that led to Hush breaking her arm I feel like this would probably be more traumatic for her than you would think. (She would still eventually befriend him though)
(Btw Mono floating is meant to be a reference to the scene in the comic where Hush touches his shoulder from behind and he then instinctively jumps like 6 feet in the air like a cat lol).
"Meeting of the Mims" was done for @sundooisagoose and features their version of Mim from The Lonely Ones (on the left) meeting my own version of her (on the right)! It seems these two identical sad Mims are attempting to escape their new junior performer careers by trying and failing to get their cheap dollar store makeup off, how saddening!
(Meanwhile Performer is off having a smoke wondering how he's gonna get his version of two six-pack plastic garbage rings removed from around their necks without their Feast and Ruse companions coming to bludgeon him to death).
"The Unholy Salesfreight pic that no one asked for" was done for @robertscompletleynormalblog and is exactly what it says on the tin, it featuring both his Salesman and Freighter characters! Naturally I needed an excuse to have both of these guys in the same picture and this was the first thing that came to mind lol. Luckily it seems he loved the piece despite the sloppy kiss!
Art Fight is over, time for my annual 1 week break from drawing entirely. It is the most hellish week every single time idek if it's beneficial to be doing this anymore my brain is on fire I wanna DRAW right the fuck NOW!!! But I'm going to hold my brain at gunpoint and tell it to play Tomodachi Life and Sam and Max instead.
4 years ago I came up with the concept for Scott during Art Fight and I waited until after the 1 week break to actually design him. I was itching to make him for a whole month bro can you believe I really willingly delayed making the best thing I ever did fuckkkkkkkkkk tbf I had no idea at the time he was gonna be such a source of brainrot. Bastard changed literally everything about my art and I made him wait an extra week. HAHA
Maybe this means I make another Mona Lisa of something next week idk or just shitposts. I have ideas. Week 2 of August will just be for drawing random bullshit on whims then comic progress binge after that until it's done.
I have a long backlog of art to post both from Art Fight prep as well as the rest of my attacks, so on your end you won't see a break in posts. You'll be seeing more in these weeks, actually. Have fun with that.
They finally arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Okay well, technically they arrived earlier this week but my internet has been extremely fucky all month due to the big thunderstorms rolling across my state, which is also why I've been a bit inconsistent on Artfight. So I'm taking this chance now to show them off).
But yeah, after a perilous and annoyingly delayed trek across the country (+ the box itself having a big chunk taken out when it was dropped off) my Shamura plush from the lovely @alllgator-blood has finally arrived! I was pleasantly surprised at just how big they actually were, as well as the amount of smaller goodies that came with them! I laid them all out on the patio table (since my family has made the house totally unfilmable) and was able to get this nice picture despite burning my feet in the process. And since I had them on hand I also added some items from previous gifts/cons into the frame to spice things up (specifically the pride+crystal stickers, rocks, the 3d-printed headcrab and the headcrab in a jar)!
After that pic was taken I cleaned them off and now they get to sit on my bed with the Youtooz Goat plush I also bought (so uhhhhh I guess you can say Goatmura canon now?), aside from that I get to do fun things with them when I'm bored like this -
I JEST OF COURSE, I would never ruin such a lovely gift like that. But yeah, I just wanted to say that this is an extremely thoughtful and well-made plush, and I cannot thank Blood enough for taking the time and effort to craft all these lovelies! OH SHIT I ALMOST FORGOT, since I know Blood will probably see this I'll also drop off an older drawing I did back in June when you were still working on that colossal Shamura plush:
(The dialogue is based on the Meet the Heavy video btw, and originally I was also going to add a similar opening of you heaving the plush on your shoulder before slamming it down on the table like a body. Just thought you'd like to know 😊 )
Question for the LN community: would anyone be interested in re-rigged models? Theres not a lot of 3D ln fan content and im wondering if part of it just accessibility due to the game ripped models having rigging that usually needs to be set up again
I’m thinking of re-rigging some models in the future for blender for general use. They would have things like foot roll mechanisms and hand pose controllers to make things significantly more easy. They would also fill in some missing gaps too, like minikin would actually have a rigged jaw as in game it literally had no bone to control it, so it can’t be animated.
For some models (LN3) I could also make texture up-scales/clean ups which would just be me trying to clean up/recreate the textures in a higher resolution. I would make these separate though and the base models would have their original textures
Obviously all of these would be 100% free because I want it to be as accessible as possible
And I wouldn’t feel comfortable charging money just for re-rigged models made by someone else
HOUUGHhh posting these a little later than expected, praying things remain calm where I'm at so there's less metaphorical fires to put out. BUT THEY'RE FINISHED!! The leshys are all currently faceless/hornless and admittedly I have not even drafted narinder's pattern yet, so I've still got work to do but am getting the hang of this

EDIT: The biggest kallamar has sold! Heket #5 has sold! Kall #5 and Heket #3 are reserved for a bundle! Two random small Kallamars are reserved!
All of these are stuffed with poly-fil and sand to add weight/fill small spaces better, are sewn from fleece + velvet ribbon, and have makeup pigment for their blush + heket's peachy colored belly. I can't find tan fleece in my area so I had to make do. Their eyes are plastic safety eyes secured with superglue and their features are hand embroidered with cotton floss. None of them have removable robes, but I left some of the hekets' scarves loose in case you're like me and prefer the ability to dress/undress a clothed plush
All of them will be lint rolled + have fray stop applied to all ribbon edges, I just didn't do it in these pics because I was gonna take them outside for pics anyway and knew they'd pick up some particles I'd have to clean later regardless
The BIG kallamar is 18 inches tall, the medium one is 13", BOTH bigger kalls have squeakers in their chests, and the little guys are around 7-8 inches each.
The big heket is 12" tall (and has a squeaker) and the little ones are all 7-8 inches as well. Some of them have very small angry eyebrows because I thought it'd be funny, but the angle kinda hides them under the eyes
The fifth heket that looks different was actually featured on this blog forever ago but I'm willing to part with her, I kinda need all the financial help I can get so if you get her, please give her a good home!! Or you can throw her at a wall, I express my love for my stuffed animals by throwing them and shaking them and squeezing them so I get it lmao
I order labels through USPS and will send you a tracking number when something's ready to be sent out- I can do international shipping outside america but it might be uh...very very expensive. I'm stingy af though so I might be able to find a loophole idk
