Infernal Intrigue and Heavenly Escapades - The Illustrations by Garden Variety Demon

I received the links to the wonderful illustrations @gardenvarietydemon made to go along with my story for the Good Omens Big (Small) Bang.

Thank you @gardenvarietydemon! They are fabulous!

They made two; they go with chapters 2 and 5 respectively. I've embedded them to the story already and you can read the parts of the story that go along with them and look at the beautiful illustrations there now if you like.

(And FYI, I'll get on with posting the other chapters here on Tumblr asap, I've just been slowed down by a sick child and then being sick myself this week. I should really see about scheduling posts ahead of time. The entire story is already up on AO3, so you can read it all already.)

This is from chapter 2 - Diabolical Acts. Gabriel stops Aziraphale right before he and Crowley can get out of Heaven.

Aziraphale is sweating bullets and is quite certain they have been caught, that Gabriel has to recognize Crowley.

Crowley is unconcerned and quite certain no one will recognize him. How could a demon possibly get into Heaven in the first place?

And Gabriel is... Well, Gabriel is Gabriel.

This is a scene from chapter 5 - Best-Laid Plans And Their Fallout. Crowley and Aziraphale, disguised as a demon and in female shape, are in Hell. Aziraphale (here named Ashteph) is posing as Crowley's pet demon down here For Security And Very Well Thought Out Reasons. Their plan to get the evidence back from Gaglumus just failed and Crowley is fully intending on taking Aziraphale back to Earth where it's safe and deal with the issues on his own. (Aziraphale won't let him. She has a backup plan and knows how to get what she wants - at least from this one specific demon.)

After Crowley suggests that they act as “godfathers” to the Antichrist, Aziraphale suggests they meet up to strategize. Their meetings quickly turn into a sort of “farewell tour” to their beloved Earth and a creeping sense that Armageddon would mean losing the thing they love the most: each other.

Here is my entry for the @goodomensbigbang! I wrote this fic in the last half of 2024 -- it pretty much consumed my brain from August to December -- and I'm so happy that it now gets to see the light of day. It all started with this quote from the book and with me wondering what Aziraphale and Crowley got up to once the Antichrist was on earth, but before they had to be "godfathers."

Huge thanks to @sakascal, who acted as beta reader and gave so much incredible feedback. And thanks to @gardenvarietydemon, who created art for the fic. The first piece shows up in Chapter 4!

I love this fic with my whole heart, and I hope you like it too. You can read the first two chapters now. The fic is finished, and I'll be updating it all this week.

Thinking about how Crowley would not tolerate any of the unreasonably negative takes about Aziraphale. I don't even think he would tolerate REASONABLE negative takes. If someone was like 'He's not a very good bookseller' Crowley would probably say 'Well maybe YOU'RE not a good enough customer' and then curse them to always mistype their password or something. He spends all that time complaining about Az's magic act but the instant Aziraphale goes I'm not a professional conjurer :( he's all 'What? Who told you you were bad? You are going on the West End, angel! You're the best!!' He's down bad for every aspect of his angel.

Nightingale Detective Agency - A Spooky Bang Fic!

i had the pleasure of making some artwork for @gardenvarietydemon 's fic! Crowley is a Very Serious Detective(tm) while Aziraphale thinks they should investigate "ghost hauntings" (it's more fun! plus, he already gave the Bentley a makeover👀) We get to follow these two on an investigation with The Them - but first, they have to visit Tadfield's Halloween Carnival🤭

they're anything and everything you can imagine because they've been around for all of it. and most of all, they're not real - so there's no 'wrong' way to draw them, to write them, to talk about them, or to think about them in terms of their queerness, as long as you acknowledge they are fundamentally queer.

I love how sometimes I read a m/f pairing and I feel grossed out by how straight it is, but sometimes I read an m/f and it's so obviously gay. Like this isn't lesbian and it isn't male to male, but it's so obviously gay. 100/10 every time.

As an extremely queer person in a straight passing relationship thank you to all of y'all writing and drawing this and showing how gay a straight passing pairing can be.
