So you can avoid them stealing things from you, the artist/writer, etc.
Pro GenAI websites/Programs:
Facebook
Instagram
X/Twitter (Remember, Grok gives people cancer)
Threads
Pro Writing Aid
Grammarly
Duolingo
Google Docs
Microsoft Word/all Microsoft products Takes from and will feed their machine.
Youtube (taking advantage of people who are hearing impaired. ==;;)
Adobe Products. All of them. If you HAVE to use them (Some businesses require it), save offline because there is a film of at least some privacy protections there, so if you have to sue, you can say it violates US privacy law. Remember, contracts do not circumvent US law.
Corel won't feed the machines, but still uses AI stolen from other artists. Which sucks since Corel Draw is the second best overall for vector programs. (Plus I love Painter, but I bought the offline version to avoid AI). (Canadian company)
Canva Takes and feeds their machine.
Deviant Art Not only supports AI, but put a tool in and said they are going to steal your work if you like it or not for their machine.
Sketchup went Pro-GenAI. The thing is that you can do the same thing in Blender these days with precise measurements.
Autodesk has stated they are Pro-Gen AI here. It is not clear if they will use your models to feed their machine. But be on guard. They make Maya and 3Dmax. You can replace it with Blender.
Neutral ground:
Tumblr (there is a way to opt out [Link] and they don't have an active AI machine.) https://www.tumblr.com/dookins/743519550598987776/heres-how-to-disable-third-parties-like-ai
Etsy allows GenAI, but still has some (minor) restrictions. I'd still be cautious. (Also be cautious of drop shippers). Complaints about too much AI and AI images+patterns made by Ai still exist on the website. They lean slightly more pro-AI, but still won't let it run completely amok, say like Facebook. They won't feed your work into a machine, but also don't ban it through robots.txt.
Bluesky They don't use an AI algorithm except for in the "Discover" section of their website, but while they are anti-GenAI strongly, they don't seem to block the Gen AI bots from entry, so you'd still have to use Nightshade or Glaze (links below). There is no opt-out because they don't need an opt out. (Leaning towards strong position on AI, but I wish they would block GenAI bots).
Searxng- If you super want to screw over Google, in general, and have some tech savvy, you can set up your own search engine through searxng. It's easier on Windows and Linux than it is on a Mac. (Mac you need Docker), but if you're determined on privacy, Searxng adds a layer of privacy. Some of it sometimes uses bits of AI, but most of it doesn't and you can fuss with the settings so it doesn't spit out AI results. At sheer minimum Google will stop spitting out weird videos on Youtube at you because in your private browsing, you searched for the origin of ball bearings while not logged in for a book and Google likes to break privacy laws.
Strong positions against AI:
Scrivener (Creator vowed against AI) Writing program. There is an active forum, and versions for Mac, Linux and PC. It is paid, but at ~60 USD, it's cheaper than most programs. There is usually a holiday sale around Christmas. It has a learning curve, but with an active forum with the programmer of it there to ask obscure questions it's not a dead zone. They often take suggestions and implement them over time. (Especially if you rank the importance, applications, etc) US company.
LibreOffice Open source and free Spreadsheet and Word processor program that can replace Microsoft Word. Some people might have seen older versions where it was called Neo Office (now extinct) and Open Office. LibreOffice is still populated, plus the forums are super helpful if you get stuck. The UX is pretty intuitive if you've used Microsoft Word. Scrivener, BTW, supports exporting to odt (the native file) as well as .doc, and this can open both. The slight thing is that sometimes it doesn't export to .doc smoothly. And I DO wish more magazines, and agent (big clue here) supported .odt files since it is free. Part of the reason .odt isn't as supported is because Microsoft and Adobe have a deal with the devil with each other, so Adobe's Book formatting program InDesign doesn't support ODT. (BTW, if you have a good open source replacement for InDesign that supports ODT, let me know.)
Dabble (as suggested by SF stories, see reblog) is a writing program. Similar to Scrivener. Has vowed against AI and to resist it. 108 dollars a year for Basic. It is almost twice the price of Scrivener who lets you update for fairly cheap. 29 dollars a month, v. 59 dollars for the whole program (Scrivener) for the same features of Premium. You choose.
yWriter is a free Writing program and like Scrivener, and has vowed against AI Last I looked it had some UX issues, but some people swear by it. The learning curve is higher than Scrivener which is saying something.
Ellipsus is an online writing program and vowed against AI. The main feature I like (which Scrivener doesn't have) is the ability to change spellcheck based on region/language. It is a requested feature of Scrivener, but lower priority. So if you have a Brit, you can get the spelling for the character. They are a British-based company.
Cara.app (The creator of the website sued GenAI there is no chance they'll convert) is an artist website. Cara is trying to institute an auto Glaze/Nightshade into the website if given enough funds. People see it as a soft replacement for deviant art. (which went fully AI) If you believe in human art, please donate if you can. Zhang Jingna, the Creator,is Chinese-Singporean. She lives in Singapore.
Clip Studio Paint added AI, but saw the light and decided to protect artists instead because of protest and removed it. There are tutorials and a good forum if you get super stuck. Based in Japan, so the UI and UX is really clean.
Davinci Resolve Pro is a film editing software that's super good. There is a free version and a paid version. The forums are responsive. The programmers aren't always present. There is a healthy group of tutorials. US company. Clean UX. It does take a little bit of time to remember the shortcuts.
Tahoma2D is anti-AI and open source animation program. Takes a little getting used to, but is good for animations and doesn't crash as often as Animate. Programmers are in the forums and some bugs are fixed within hours. The forums are super responsive and helpful.
Krita open source and free, no AI. I'd rank it secondary to Clip Studio Paint (which is paid) I haven't tried the forums, but it's pretty intuitive and can stand for a lower level replacement for Painter, and do a lot of the basics of Photoshop. It's usually ranked higher than the equally open source Gimp.
Writer P AKA Writer+ (app for when you're on the go) is a simple word processor app for your phone that doesn't use AI. The original programmer stopped updating, so Writer+ person took over and isn't out to make a profit since it's free in the spirit of the original app. It has subfolders you can use. Since it was programmed before GenAI it doesn't have AI. Intuitive, easy to use. Fairly easy to upload the files through three dots->share. The files can save to your card or phone with some settings fussing. Simple word processor.
Inkscape is a free vector program and no AI. It is harder to use than illustrator and has less features. But if you're doing smaller vectors for one-offs with less complexity, it'll do you after some learning curve. Best of the lot. I hate Affinity Designer which is the same thing, only paid. (Neither Affinity program was worth the money paid)
Affinity (Designer, etc) swore to be AI-free and does Vector and Photos. The UX is messy, I dislike the program and regret paying for it. Inkscape and Krita are better UX and do the same thing. The forums aren't as friendly since there has been an onslaught of people seeing it's supposed to be a replacement for Photoshop and Illustrator, but the programmers aren't present. The people on the forums are often on edge about this assertion. And the capabilities of the program don't outshine basically Krita or Inkscape capabilities (both free). What is usually intuitive is not. UK company. If you're going to pay for a program, go for Clip Studio Paint which rivals Corel Painter.
Blender is a 3D art program and does not use GenAI. It can do 2D animation, but Tahoma is easier to use in this regard. It's open source and free. Plus there are plenty of tutorials. The forums can be touch and go sometimes, but there are plenty of sub Blender communities that might be responsive. It can also do animation.
Handmade vowed against AI and promised to never sell itself for stock prices to prevent AI (as a replacement for Etsy.)
Discover a world of creativity and craftsmanship through Handmade, an innovative platform connecting passionate artisans with discerning buy
Proton (to replace Google Suite) as suggested by SF Stories (see reblog) Vowed against AI. They are missing a spreadsheet, but have online and offline capabilities, plus a built-in VPN.
But you need a pro website...
Look up robots.txt and AI bots: https://www.cyberciti.biz/web-developer/block-openai-bard-bing-ai-crawler-bots-using-robots-txt-file/
Use cloudflare:
Use Nightshade:

Use Glaze:

The thing is you think you doing it alone will do nothing, but the more AI feeds on itself, AI images, the worse they become, and the less detailed so, denying it the images, adding poison or not being able to read the human text is eventually going to lead to an AI collapse.
Analysis shows that indiscriminately training generative artificial intelligence on real and generated content, usually done by scrapi
And why not help that along?
I don't want to give cancer to poor people [Link] or make the planet burn faster [Link]. So GenAI collapse is everything I dream of. GenAI apocalypse is not.
i kinda love how big of a deal it is that rumi allows mira into her bedroom. the way mira knocks first and waits for rumi to answer. the way mira tries to play it off but ends up sounding like nothing means more to her in the world than being granted entry to rumiās threshold. this is a hard boundary and both she and zoey are well familiar with it. iāve thought a lot about how difficult it must have been to live with two people that you canāt ever let see you with even an inch of bare arm, how youād have to check your appearance thoroughly before leaving your private space, how your private space can turn into something of a prison when itās the only space that youāre allowed to actually relax ināand even then, never completely; the lock i imagine is on the bathroom door, the way your heart would leap (and not in a good way) every time there came a knock at your door. and like they say about old habits. at what point would rumiās fight or flight response to having somebody coming into her private space when sheās actually got nothing more to hide subside, and let her just enjoy the moment with them?
I love Ragatha - in fact I'm a firm believer if you hate Ragatha.. you kind of have to hate Jax too.
I can understand where potential confusion might come from since despite this episode focusing more on Ragatha's past compared to Jax's we do get to hear most of it through Jax's perspective.
Which leads me to believe personally ep. 6 will be the opposite. Jax's backstory and how Ragatha will react to that information.
But still, Ragatha is one of the most human characters out of the whole cast(tied with Gangle) to me personally.
She feels the need to be happy and positive NOT BECAUSE she's trying to manipulate anyone - but because she doesn't want anyone to focus on the negative and abstract. That's her method of keeping herself and everyone else sane. Almost blind encouragement and a positive attitude things will turn out okay - because what else is there?
She seems the closest to Kinger whose whole mentality is "The worst thing you could do in this world is make someone feels unloved or unwanted." and to hold onto memories and connections because they're all we have.
And then you have her mother - who is her only memory. She grew up with someone who made her feel like shit, unloved and unwanted - Ragatha confesses this when she literally says "And my mother... I doubt she misses me."
No Ragatha is not perfect, but she was forced to be in her childhood and early adult life.
I genuinely don't believe she's trying to manipulate anyone - and especially not intentionally.
Ragatha's positive attitude towards Pomni and her friendliness is because she sees herself in the jester - in Ep. 2 Ragatha confides in Kinger about this on the candy truck, seeing how horrible of a day Pomni had when she first got here and compared it to her negative reaction when she first arrived too.
She's not trying to steal her from Jax or force her to be happy all the time - the only reason she retaliates with something like that is because she believes Jax is trying to turn Pomni bad - and the last thing she or anyone needs is a second Jax.
So her jealously in Ep. 5 when Jax is growing close to her - IN THE MATTER OF A FEW MINUTES BTW - when Ragatha has tried for four episodes now to befriend her is killing her.
Hence why she's so relatable. Ragatha's inability to get angry without consequences(most likely from her mother), raised to be happy and perfect, humbling herself quickly by calling herself just a farm girl - is why people now think she's tricking everyone - but that's just it.
She is just a girl, and by the sound of her and how Ep. 5 ended - she grew up with absolutely no friends.
It brings us back to that question we all had at some point in our lives: "Why does no one like me?" "Why does no one want to be friends with me?" "Is it me?" "Am I the problem?"
Ragatha watches Pomni, the girl she wanted to befriend so badly not out of pity or a selfish desire but because she thought Pomni was lonely just like her - walk away with Jax.
And then watches Zooble and Gangle walk off with Kinger mindlessly following because he doesn't care and we see her standing all alone.
And there she debates: Does she want to keep pestering Jax and Pomni? Like a bother? Like she finds him annoying but here she is anyway chasing after him..
or does she follow the trio that didn't even realize she got left behind?
I love this little Raggedy Anne look-alike because I see so much of myself in her.
She just wants to be good and yet that overly positive attitude and friendliest over the years is growing tired and annoying and the only person willing to tell her that isn't even Jax. Not directly anyway.
With no one to tell her what to do - how to improve - what can be done differently - Ragatha can only keep asking herself those same questions and keep trying with the same approach.
Jax may be my favorite character - but I just don't agree with his view on Ragatha. I think she's a delight.
But if you deadass just hate Ragatha because she's annoying to you, or boring, then okay idc disregard the above-
btw i know ive been spamming so much tadc this might be my last post temporarily but i wanna make a few things clear for ppl who shockingly hate my girl
Shout out to mentally ill people who dropped out of school

Steddie timeloop au where Steve has tried everything to change what happened and get out of the loop but nothing ever fully works, he never manages to save Eddie and the loops keep happening.
This time he's determined to play everything through like the first time to remind himself how it started and hopefully get some new ideas on how to fix it. (Except for the new hiding place for Erica, where she won't be spotted so Jason never finds them. He's not willing to risk Max)
But when Eddie calls out to him and tells him "Make him pay" after that lengthy dose of eye contact he can't help himself. He steps close, grabs Eddie by the sides of his jacket and pulls him even closer, stares at his lips before looking back into Eddie's eyes. "I will. I promise you, I will."
And while Eddie dot exe stops working for a few seconds he closes up the jacket and adds "And please keep your jacket closed, I have a feeling you might need the extra padding."
Little does he know that this is literally what saves Eddie's life and ends the loop. Sure, he's pretty chewed up but the leather gave just enough protection they can get him to a hospital in time. And when Steve is crashing from the adrenaline and realizes the loop isn't restarting.... he can't help but slap his hand on whatever poor surface is closest and go "The JACKET??!?!? All this time-! And it was the jacket???"
Anyway for a good while Eddie is pretty damn convinced Steve can see visions of the future
[id: reddit post by user spaghettishoestrings titled "(UPDATE) Just lost my healthcare !" with the flair "Celebratory."
Post reads:
Original post is viewable through my profile. Apologies, since Iām on mobile, I couldnāt hyperlink. The TLDR: my doctor called me on Monday and informed me that their practice would no longer be providing treatment for gender affirming care as a result of a recent presidential Executive Order, even though the EO was for people under 19. Even though Iām 25.
Also, because it was asked a few times, this happened in Michigan, and Iāve been on HRT for 5+ years. Itās a practice that includes like 15+ physicians, and I think that the decision was made over my PCPās head, given that she once told me that she literally moved states to be able to provide gender affirming care here.
First off, genuinely, thank you so much for all the replies and messages. I genuinely felt frozen after that phone call and didnāt know where to start, and you all really helped me get my feet off the ground.
A couple people mentioned contacting the ACLU, which, truthfully, I thought, āthereās no way that the ACLU will get back to meā but I sent a message anyway. They actually called me a few hours after my post and we talked about the Executive Orders and my rights. They offered to fax my provider a letter reminding them of my rights and some other legal terms. Itās crazy how a post on reddit resulted in my name being on the official ACLU letterhead.
Anyway, today my doctorās physician assistant called me and shared that their practice is reversing their decision and they will continue to provide gender affirming care. Iām still keeping a bunch of the resources that yāall shared saved, including Planned Parenthood, Plume, and looking into a private endocrinologist.
This whole experience just reminded me how great this community is. I appreciate yāall <3"

You should contact Chase Strangio from the ACLU, I believe he is looking for reports of folks being denied their GAC due to these EOs. He's @chasestrangio on IG and Threads.
Iām really truly trying to not become a steddie fan account but I just finished my rewatch and my dash is full of them
Steve āI was neglected as a child so I donāt think anyone truly Wants to go through the Chore of loving meā Harrington vs Eddie āoverdramatic wears his heart on his sleeveā Munson.
Steveās only experience with love is the ex-girlfriend who faked it until she called him bullshit, the girls he only went out with bc he wanted to keep up the image (which usually meant he put in all the effort like complementing them and getting them flowers) and a lesbian his 15 year old best friend tricked him into liking
But Eddieās over here performing medieval courting rituals because heās a gay nerd and calls Steve every pet name under the sun. Iām not saying heās smooth about it, heās anything but smooth but it makes Steve blush either way so he keeps doing it, Steve almost cried when he showed up with flowers and had to take a minute to process when Eddie opened the car door for him because no oneās ever put in the same amount (if not more) effort into a relationship with him.
Heās never had anyone obsessed with him (the people at high school donāt count cause they liked with King Steve) but Eddie practically worships the ground he stands on, heāll go to Family Video with the intention of seeing Steve and then nearly pass out from having too much love when he sees Steve because heās physically incapable of not showering him in affection
basically ādoesnāt think theyāre worthy of love x loves them like itās breathingā but theyāre a emotionally repressed ex-jock and a nerd who plays dnd religiously
I probably should have started doing this forever ago but I wasnāt sure how long I was gonna stick with drawing these comics. But I guess weāre in it now! This will be continually updated~ EVERYTHING UNDER THE CUT
