Maybe an au where they dont know each other and blake gets dragged out by sun to a bar and she sees yang there looking at them but blake thinks she was looking at sun cuz noone would ever be interested in her right ? 🙃🙃
“Blake… don’t freak out but the hottie at the bar is totally checking you out.”
Blake glanced over at said hottie, sighing heavily when she spotted a blonde woman with lilac eyes looking in her and Sun’s direction curiously.
“Sun. She’s definitely looking at you.” Blake said with a snort, ears flicking back for a moment as she lightly swished her whisky in its glass in an attempt to look unbothered. “She’s out of my league. Why would she be interested in me?”
“Because you’re a total babe?” Sun said, staring at her blankly as he nudged her with his tail. “Dude, seriously. My bi ass nearly passed out when I saw you tonight. If we weren’t best friends and I was single…”
“Stop right there.” Blake smirked, smacking Sun’s shoulder playfully. “You know we would never work. We’re too different. But… if we’re going off of the physical… I guess you’re not half bad.”
“Not half- Damn. Break my heart, why don’t you.”
Blake nearly choked on her drink when a feminine voice spoke up and watched a sly grin spread across Sun’s face as he turned to the blonde woman from earlier.
“If you were ogling me earlier, sorry, but I’m taken. But if you were ogling her,” Sun smirked, pointing at Blake and winking at her. “She’s painfully single and free for the taking. Do enjoy!”
“Sun!” Blake barked out, lunging to grab (and potentially strangle him with his own tail) him as he darted away, seeking out his blue haired boyfriend in the crowd. “Damn it, Wukong!”
“So… painfully single, huh? I guess I’m in luck since that’s my status too.” The woman grinned at Blake as she sat in Yang’s abandoned seat and held out a hand with a charming smile on her face. “I’m Yang.”
“… Blake.” Blake said hesitantly, calmly shaking Yang’s hand. There was no way that Sun was right. This woman looked like she could bench five of Blake and then walk down the runway without breaking a sweat. Why would she-
“I’m sorry… I just… you’re ridiculously pretty and I knew that if I didn’t take a shot, I’d regret it.” Yang said with an apologetic smile, making Blake’s jaw drop slightly. “But I can tell that I’m making you uncomfortable so I’ll just-“
“Wait!” Blake said quickly, cheeks flushing brightly. “I, um. Ahem. I’m not... uncomfortable. I just… kind of thought that you were-“
“Staring at your friend?” Yang tilted her head down at Blake as a smirk grew across her face. “Yeah, no. Guys… aren’t my thing.”
“Oh.” Blake said as Yang sat back down, smirking softly at her. “So you actually-“ Blake cleared her throat awkwardly and gave Yang a flattered smile. “So… you said something about taking a shot?”
“Mhm.” Yang hummed, leaning her chin in her hand and winking playfully at Blake. “For example… I lost my number. Could I borrow yours?”
“Oh my God.” Blake let out a rather unattractive snort and covered her smile with her hand. “That was awful.”
“No? How about this;” Yang grinned at her, lilac eyes bright with mischief. “I show the way to a map store. You look lost. Not that I can blame you; heaven is a long way from here.”
Blake bit her lip and tried to keep her laughter at bay, ignoring the warmth spreading up her neck towards her cat ears.
“Okay.. this one’ll get ya.” Yang leaned forward and smirked. “Are you a bag crisps? Cause you’re a total snack.”
That did it. Amused giggles bubbled from Blake’s lips as Yang grinned and fist bumped victoriously.
“Yes! Know that you know how amazing a date with me could be, how about you let me take you out sometime?” Yang smiled hopefully at her, making Blake snort in amusement before holding out her hand.
Yang’s eyes lit up and she quickly fumbled with her jacket, trying to pull out her phone. She let out an alarmed yelp as she dropped the phone and juggled it from one hand to the other before catching in two hands and passing it to Blake, unlocked, with a sheepish smile.
“Hopefully, you don’t disappoint.” Blake said teasingly, smiling as she passed the phone back to Yang.
“I never disappoint.” Yang smirked for a moment before it fell into a softer smile as she stood and took Blake’s hand, kissing the back of it lightly and turning away. “I’ll text you tomorrow. See you around, Blake.”
When Sun and Neptune returned to her, Blake feigned innocence at her friends’ curious questions, refusing to answer, despite the flush on her cheeks giving her away.
