This quote alone explains so much about why so many of Stephen King's characters are written as though they're queer. Stephen King thinks that there is nothing gay about a man being in love with another dude. Like straight guys just fall "deeply and passionately" in love with guys sometimes. He unintentionally created so many queer characters because he thinks that falling in love with members of the same sex is something straight people do.
