amazing discoveries taking place in the heterosexual community
it's so weird to me that taylor swift is like. That Big A Deal. I don't even think her music is entirely without merit it's just so resoundingly mid that I'm mystified by her enduring popularity
to me Taylor Swift is like the manifestation of all the most exaggerated, uncharitable takes on The Beatles. at least they experimented later in their careers y'know. at least they had Ringo
i can understand the reasons someone would want to vote for biden in 2024, but even from a cold utilitarian standpoint, you have to realize that means you will vote for them no matter what. And if you know that, they know that. I mean, they already know that. That's why they don't listen to you lol. Youre a chump, they think its funny. It is funny. I think its funny too. Have u noticed how no one talks about pushing biden left anymore? He hasn't even really done anything to protect lgbt people, or women, or minorities. If there is a difference over republicans on that, it's pretty small. It shouldn't be, but it is. So, you can say, well, even if its only 1% better, isn't that worth it? Maybe that'd be true, if it was zero-cost, that there's no drawback to voting. And that's probably how they see it, but you're making a transaction. You, as an individual representative of public will, are sanctioning their actions. You are signing a contract, you are shaping and enforcing norms. You can't push anyone to the left, but you're being dragged to the right. You can say YOU'RE not right wing, you're really left wing. But what makes you left wing? Ephemeral things, things you believe, your sense of identity, where you fall on hypothetical ethical questions, abstractions. But, what are your real political actions? You're voting for a right wing candidate in an extremely culturally sick hyperimperalist nation, in an election between two right wing parties (on the policy that matters, not the set dressing). You're in a playpen to live out a fantasy political identity online, while your actual political actions reinforce and support the system. You ensure it runs smoothly. You're not a threat. You call yourself radicalized but you've been neutralized before you even knew how you felt about anything.
I'm not pretending abstaining from voting will fix this. And it won't make your hands cleaner either. But if you feel disgusted, don't let some DNC ghoul (or someone whose let social media ops turn them into a DNC ghoul while thinking its their own idea) convince you that you need to push that down and vote because its the right thing to do. If you wanted to vote, you would vote. Theyre not giving you anything to vote for. Maybe you were naive in 2020, maybe you were just an optimist hoping against hope, you'd give Biden a chance. It can't be worse than Trump, right? But where are you now? Even as a cynic and a pessimist- an annoyingly jaded person- it's impressed me how bad he is. That he won't even pretend more. So some of you have to be, like, reeling right? Like you guys are really nothing to him, because he knows you don't have a choice. Just... pure empire, there's barely even a person there. And you might actually vote for him again hahahaha. At that point, what are you doing? I mean if you're a lib, sure, whatever, that's the true face of liberalism, embrace it. But if you're like pretending to be a communist, or call yourself an anti-imperialist or something. Like, cmon. Get real. Pick a side
fun funeral facts
embalming, the process of chemically preserving a corpse, is typically not required by law. unless you need to transport the body long-distance or postpone the burial, it’s 100% a vanity thing.
a body still rots in air-tight conditions. so “protective” or “sealed” caskets are basically a scam, and anything fancy like metal is a waste of money.
want a beautiful casket for a viewing, but think burning or burying an expensive piece of hardwood is a waste of money and trees? rentals exist.
you don’t need a coffin for cremation. the minimum requirement is that the body be in a “cremation container,” which is a simple cardboard box.
home funerals are an option. you don’t need to hand the body over to a funeral home, and you can keep their involvement to a minimum.
natural burial sites exist. you can have your unembalmed body straight up thrown in the dirt to be tree food, if you want.
there are a lot of funeral homes that will prey on your ignorance and vulnerability in order to get as much money out of you as possible. they may imply optional certain services are legally mandatory, steer you away from cheaper options, charge additional costs for what’s supposed to be all-inclusive services, etc.
one person’s death is another person’s profit. know your rights, do your research, and apply the same scrutiny you would to any other business.
For those of you interested, the youtube channel Ask A Mortician does a lot of videos on taboo death subjects, answers questions and is a huge advocate for natural burials and being present during the actual funeral process so you don’t get taken advantage of by the funeral industry. She’s one of my favourite youtubers and I highly recommend her videos.
"The 9 years old girl who remained under the rubble for 10 hours has made it safely. I see no one sharing. If she were dead, everyone would share! Share positivity…"
Video of her ordeal.
When talking about Palestine, please also share and spread Palestinian strength!
We have been amplifying their pain and grief to open the world’s eyes to their lives for the past 75 years. But now let’s amplify Palestinian strength and resilience. For the people of Palestine will free Palestine from the river to the sea.

Guys, Elon released his stupid AI on Twitter and the first thing his idiot devotees did was ask it if trans women are really women and they are losing it over getting the correct answer back.
Now it’s recounting Elon’s lies for people too
This may be the only AI bot I’ve ever liked.
my friend took in a stray and she’s the cutest kitty ever but he named her oil so whenever he sends a picture of her me and my other friends look like we’re roleplaying as the US military
in our defense this is oil
"How does anti-BDS laws work though? They cannot force us to spend money!!"
It could be used to persecute anybody who explains why we need BDS, or show the public how so and so companies supported "Israel" or even call for BDS on any companies on their social media
Also the "divestment and sanctions" part of BDS is much harder now because you divest an sanction with the explicit purpose of not arming Israel or spending money on them.
Anti-BDS laws are typically aimed at government contractors. In my state of Pennsylvania, USA we have an anti-BDS law on the books that forbids the state from entering into contracts with any company that is participating in BDS.

Texas teacher fired for refusing to sign anti-BDS oath (pub. December 2018)
A primary school teacher in Texas has been fired for refusing to sign an anti-BDS oath embedded in her employment contract. Bahia Amawi is a language specialist who works with autistic and speech-impaired primary school children. She has been told that she can no longer work in the state’s public schools after she “refused to sign an oath vowing that she ‘does not’ and ‘will not’ engage in a boycott of Israel or ‘otherwise take any action that is intended to inflict economic harm [on Israel]’,” the Intercept revealed yesterday.
Advocates say ruling will ‘flip the First Amendment on its head’ and endanger the free speech rights of all Americans.
as my own direct immediate list of game grievances i hate that stardew valley expects you to side against a wheelchair user who is upset that he was moved without his consent. i hate that the mass effect trilogy gives you visible scarring as a direct result of choosing mean dialogue and heals it if you're nice. i hate that the vampire the masquerade ttrpg has a monstrous player class that can appear as horrible vampiric monsters or as visibly disabled people and both of these appearances are mechanically the same. i hate that dark souls games have a difficulty level implemented in a way that cannot be adjusted for disability. i hate that i can play as a mermaid or a werewolf or a horse in the sims games but can't use a wheelchair. i hate that the ace attorney games have so much flashing and not all of the games can disable it. i hate that disability is constantly something that happens to teach a lesson, i hate that disability is something that happens as a punishment, i hate that disability is either compensated perfectly with no drawbacks or something that is endlessly sought to be cured. i hate that no character customization will ever include the mobility aids i use, that the player avatars that represent me will never look like me. i am so goddamn annoyed and so goddamn tired.
