a lot of people like to think of the killjoys as movie characters and say that shipping them is okay because they’re fictional but we have to remember that we have almost no information on these characters or their personalities or likes or interests etc etc. all we have is two music videos and a vague mention in a comic book so we can’t really treat them as if they are their own complex characters. there are ultimately two directions you can go when characterizing the killjoys, either characterizing them with your own headcanons OR characterizing them as the band members themselves, and this is where the line is drawn between ethical funpoison and unethical funpoison – because if you’re projecting all of gerard’s traits onto party poison and all of frank’s traits onto ghoul, then what you’re really doing is poorly masking your frerardism xo
