Okay I see your Phoenix Dick Grayson and I raise you a terrifying possibility. Who in the DC Universe do we know with a weird relation to life and death, large amounts of psionic powers, and lots of internalized and deeply held emotions? I’m just saying Kon-El would make a fucking terrifying Phoenix host, probably because he already has the powers it likes and, unlike the other Phoenix hosts in marvel, he is highly resistant to getting impaled through the chest. I’m just saying, universe: fucked

HOLY SHIT YES! (Okay, Phoenix!Dick Grayson was honestly just self-indulgent because Phoenix-Five Cyclops had the same costume/uni as Marcus To’s Nightwing XD) HONESTLY, Kon-El would be terrifying as a Phoenix Host mostly because we know Kon’s emotions are more on the volatile side, exacerbated by his origin as a Luthor/Superman clone and Kal’s less than welcoming attitude towards him. The feelings of inadequacy, of being unwanted, confusion as to his place in the world, the loneliness of having no family, all of it broiling after his death and causing the multiverse shift that will bring him back to life (because Marvel’s Phoenix Force is basically multiversal plot “I can do whatever I want” device). It’d really be cool to see a Kryptonian infused with the Phoenix Force, because it’d be like combination of Phoenix-Five!Colossus (with the impenetrability), Phoenix-Five!Cyclops (Laser Beams of Death) and Dark Phoenix!Jean (Omega-level Telekinesis).

The only way to defeat him then would be to bring in a Scarlet Witch version character into the field a la Avengers vs X-Men XD
