Claiming is over; what now?

10 days ago we closed the doors to the prompt claiming part of our event.

194 prompts were offered, and 46 were claimed!

Some have already submitted their work, others are at it, some have been granted extensions - and as of today there are already 18 pieces in the process of being added to the AO3 collection.

You may ask; but what of the prompts that were not claimed?

As Claiming is now over for this fest, if your prompt has not been claimed, you are free to give it a new home. Share it on your tumblr, your communities, your Discord servers or add it to the ever growing prompt collection in the GCL Prompt Fest (full disclosure, mod Buoymehome is co-modding that event.)

Thanks again for everyone that prompted and to those who claimed. The choice was mighty and the prompts were juicy.

We are currently preparing behind the scenes for the doors to the collection to open on the 26th of July and to celebrate the Games Changers Rare Pairs all August long.

Hi! Quick question: can I publish my fic to ao3 in the collection before it's beta-read (to establish tags and format it correctly and the such) and then edit/update it after it's beta-read as long as it's done before the reveal date? Or should I just wait until it's beta-read to add it to ao3?

With a month left in our claiming schedule, it's time for some more stats!

155 prompts are still up for grabs, with 126 different pairings offered by 32 prompters (and one prolific anon! 😉)

Rarepair pairings come in all flavours, so whether you want a Gen pairing or something more rowdy and crowded, there is something to feast upon in our remaining prompts on offer.

With 4 weeks remaining in the claiming calendar, it's more than enough time to pick a prompt to play with - and then come back for seconds 🔥
