His voice faltered a little when he spoke, but he quickly cleared his throat and acted as if he hadn’t noticed. “That…sounds like a good idea.”

“It just sounds like a good idea?” The shadow gave a chuckle as he watched his husband try to hide how flustered he’d become. At times Syo was too damn cute for his own good. To think once upon a time Satsuki once thought of him nothing but an annoyance, but now here he was married and devoted. How funny. “Well maybe this’ll make the idea sound even better.” With a smirk he leaned down so his lips were next to Syo’s ear, whispering just loud enough to be heard. “How about I try seein’ how many discreet places I can mark on your body. How about that?”

“Yeah, I know we do. I’m so glad you’re still here.” For a moment, Syo didn’t do anything but keep his head right where it was and tighten his hold on the shadow. The love he felt for Satsuki was overwhelming, and after so long apart, it was incredibly surreal to be in his husband’s arms again.

Slowly, he lifted his head up to give the taller male a broad, loving smile, though a hint of mischief glinted in his eyes. “Maybe you should pinch me again just so I know I’m not dreaming.”

“Oh...?” A hum hinted in his tone as Satsuki returned Syo’s expression with one of his own. His emerald eyes reflected his own mischief as the grin on his lips both expressed his affection for the younger male as well as his further intentions once hearing Syo’s request.

“I guess I better make damn sure you ain’t dreamin’.” Chuckling the shadow gave the smaller idol another pinch on the rear before adding a playful squeeze afterward. “So...? Are ya dreamin’? Or should I give ya another squeeze?”

Letting out a little yelp, Syo whirled around and very nearly told off the owner of the pinching fingers, but his anger completely evaporated the second he saw his husband and heard that familiar voice.

“Satsuki!~” Eyes alight with pure happiness, he threw his arms around the taller male and buried his face in the other blond’s shirt, pressing his body as close as was physically possible. “Of course I missed you! Dammit, I missed you so much.”

“I missed ya too.” Even if he was capable of watching him from within Natsuki, not being there physically for the time being was most definitely painful for the shadow. He’d truly grown to love his small husband and to have him there in his arms right now was reward enough.

“We gotta whole damn lotta catching up to do.”
