Quartz shakes her head, pinching the bridge of her nose. "No, no, it's...do you know what a superhero is? I'm sort of like that, but I'm not exactly popular. Yet, anyway."

"I knew it was inevitable that I'd get my own fanbase! Please, don't all crowd at once, there's enough Quartz to go around!"

Their eyes squint, taking note of Quartz's now amethyst-covered fists.

"Awww, already scared? I haven't even gotten the chance to start the overture!" Meister mockingly coos, despite their observation. A sickly-sweet smile stretches across their lips as they shake their head. "Oh, but I do make the world better...for me! And yeah, I do have the talent. But you don't get it, do you?" Sighing dramatically, they make a grandiose gesture of placing their hand over their heart.

"It sounds to me like you're jealous, not able to comprehend my creativity! It truly does break my heart that you haven't been listening, to say I'm ruining things. What a shame." They click their tongue, seemingly calm in their demeanor, but their own fists ball up. "I'd have loved for you to have been a fan, but I see you're nothing more than a biased critic! A nobody! A fucking phony!"

Quartz scowls, not quite offended, but more indignant at such a response. A nobody, that was a given; she wasn't a known hero, nor a very experienced one. But a phony? That was the furthest thing from the truth.

"Why would I be jealous of you? As for being a fan...I'm sorry, but you're a little too mainstream for my tastes." As awful as it felt to admit, she knew that was hurtful; what was worse is, she wanted it to be.

"You have all of this power, all of this talent, but you have no idea the responsibility that comes with it! Why do you want to hurt and manipulate people when you could make their lives better?"

"See, that's the difference between you and me." There's a sort of grinding rock sound as two amethyst chunks form around Quartz's fists; she doesn't yet intend to strike, but the protection is appreciated.

"I don't want to be worshipped. You know, you could be out there making the world better! You have the talent to be an artist, why ruin it for the sake of...of what, even? Attention? Praise? What's worth ruining your life and the lives of innocent people over?!"
