"How bad I get?" He continued to smirk at her before taking the spliff from her. "I suppose I can show you that." He gestured for her sit up. "Get closer, yeah?" He put the spliff in his mouth before inhaling the smoke in his mouth. He looked over at Gemma before he leaned in to press his mouth against hers then blew the smoke into her mouth.

Gemma revealed her teeth for a moment before dropping the smile and moving her back off the arm rest to reduce the space between them. She shut her eyes and inhaled the smoke the moment their lips met. Oh the thrill. Electricity ran through her veins. Pulling away after a moment, she kept the smoke for a while before cracking enough space between her lips to let it shudder out and up. Gemma took the spliff with a great smirk and repeated the game, scooting her self yet closer to the point where her bum sat half an inch away from his lap but legs still blanketed over.

"What makes you say that?"

"My parents just told me things like, 'be mindful' 'don't trust anyone'. The usual. A few more personal things, but they forget I usually know things before they do."

"Oth- oh." Emi said, wrinkling her nose. "That’s, ah, nice."

Gemma laughed a little. "I'm not sure what you're thinking I mean, but that face you made was classic."

"I thought you're supposed to get wiser the older you are? Making us sit through 'alcohol is naughty' isn't going to stop us – not me at least."

Cade rose his eyebrows at Gemma as she moved so her legs dangled over him. “Things you’re not suppose to do. Like smoke spliff or are you thinking more than that?” He looked over at Gemma with a smirk on his face. “I want to see how far your willing to go with your bad streak.”

Gemma scoffed and took a generous puff. "Challenging little Savage." She smirked. "I'm curious to know how bad you can get."

He looked over at her stack of letters and swallowed. “Not necessarily.”

"Listen, most news isn't news at all." She looked over at him after skimming the letter from her parents.

"If you do it all the time, sure I guess it could be. But venting is healthy. It’s not good to keep everything bottled up."

"I'm okay." She nodded and winked slightly. "I have other ways of venting."

"What other things?" He rose his eyebrow at her with a smirk on his face. After he took another long hit of the spliff he handed it back to her. "I’m not sure how I could handle life if spliff wasn’t invented."

Gemma smiled, already feeling a little giggly. She got off the table and walked over to Cade. She slid in the small space between him and the armrest, then kicked her legs over his lap so her back was now against the arm of the couch. "Things we're not supposed to do." She took the spliff from him.

Liam tapped the table nervously as he watched the incoming flock of owls. “No news is good news, right?” He muttered to himself.

"Best kind there is." She muttered half-interested while lazily ripping open the second of her four letters.

"Why not? I’m always willing to listen, and if there’s something that’s bothering you about the school and I can try to resolve it. It’s sort of my job, and besides that I care."

"No. I'm just not going to complain. I think it's pathetic."

Cade looked at Gemma as if she was insane before taking the spliff from her. “How can you not pay attention? It’s a hands on class about animals.” Cade smiled at her as he shook his head.

Gemma tilted her head with a slightly judging smile. "I'm just interested in other things." The corner of her lips tilted slightly up, watching him with the spliff. The floaty sensation seeped into her, and she loved it.

"You are incredibly wrong." Ethan chuckled as he shook his head. "Did you see the Quibbler article? Apparently I’m being brainwashed. You probably believe it."

"Of course I saw the Quibbler." She looked ridiculed, as if she'd ever be out of the loop of something so ridiculous. "Seeing as I'm alive, I reckon it's safe to say that particular article isn't the most factual. Now – if you were being brainwashed, that'd explain many things."

Playing with Fire | Dmitri & Gemma

Dimitri sighed heavily once he was done scrubbing wall, toilets, and Merlin knows what else with Filch looming over him like a mad dog. After washing his hands of the filth, Dimitri tried his best not to let his thoughts linger on a certain Gryffindor girl as he made his way throughout the halls. However, it was to no avail. Groaning, Dimitri took his wand, needing to get his mind off of heartbreak and aggression out. Not only that, but his hands twitched, wanting to practice more dark magic.

Hurrying through the halls, the Slytherin went outside to a secluded area near the forest. There, he brought out his wand, whispering dark spells he had learned from the books his father gave him. Somehow it made him feel powerful, hurdling more at a tree with a darkened, unreadable expression on his face. However, after a particularly nasty stunning jinx that also cut a victim, Dimitri watched with a slightly horrified expression as an animal fell out of the tree, backing away quickly.

It was another day in the common room. Gemma didn’t know what it was but today something smelled like feet and pickle juice in there. One of the first years had done something idiotic, she was sure. It was ridiculous; she could find another place to be. Leaving the common room, Gemma wandered the halls for a bit when she found a decent view from a window. The forbidden forest wasn’t too far and she wasn’t too high, but she could see the tops of the first three rows of spotted trees; if you could give them rows.

That was when she spotted his dark messy hair. Dimitri looked up to something. Not exactly himself. Gemma watched him until she couldn’t anymore, turned from her post, and hurried down the hallway. Her blond hair bounced as she made it down stairs. Cold air greeted her nose firstly as she tightened her robes around her waist. He’d disappeared this way… grass hissed as she crossed the grounds, ears open for any indication of Dimitri. Twigs snapped and, even more boldly, branches shuddered.

Gemma spotted his back now. Even unable to see his face, his agitated movements were clear. She hadn’t seen him like this before, but she could guess why. Could. But wouldn’t as she was concerned more with what he was doing not why. Spells she hadn’t seen before were spurting from his wand. Jealousy tightened her shoulders. Just as she stepped forward to walk to him, a thud and shadow of a creature fell from the branches. She stopped. Her mouth dropped a slight. Upon seeing his staggering back, she straightened up and resuming her marching up to him.

“Dim. How did you – Do you even realize?” Her tone was stern but not angry... amused almost.

Cade reached the hut then opened the door for Gemma. “You should cheer me on… Hufflepuff deserves a win. Desperately.” He gestured for her to come in then took a seat in the big chair in the corner. After putting the spliff in his mouth he lit it then felt the amazing light headed feeling that came from inhaling the smoke. “This is good.” He handed her the spliff then leaned back against the chair. “Did you know Hagrid well?”

Gemma entered in the room, staring at the dark walls and high ceiling. The furniture made it easy to tell a half-giant once lived here. After Cade settled into the oversized chair, Gemma took to sitting on the coffee table. She slowly crossed her legs and leaned forward to take the joint. She shook her head strongly once then took a generous puff. Holding it for a second then releasing the cloud above their heads. "Not really. Starting with not really paying much attention to his class..."

"I know how to have fun. Parties, drinking, sex, pranks, jokes, and even arguments about pumpkin throwing are all rather amusing." He looked over at Gemma. "How can you say that I don’t know how to have fun? Psh."

"Simple. You don't know how to have fun." She repeated with extra enunciation. "Anyway, it doesn't matter. Not to me at least. Rory's the one that has to deal with it."

At her playful smirk, Dimitri couldn’t help but laugh and nodded, “Oh Merlin I can only imagine your wrath - and with snowballs!” he shook his head snickering, “Well what if I want chocolates and things for Valentines day? I hardly think snowballs taste like chocolate frogs.” Dimitri joked, “Or maybe that’s what I should get you.”

Gemma gave him a side ways glance. "You want to be my valentine, then? People might wonder, Dim."
