qibli has spent all of his life paying attention to everyone else and picking up on every little thing about them and then changing himself in order to appeal to each different person. winter has spent his whole life putting on a front for everyone and never letting anyone know his true self. and the two of them together. they bring out each other’s true selves. qibli knew instantly that winter wasnt some cold heartless asshole and never gave up on trying to bring out the kind, gentle winter he knew was there. winter was always real with qibli, he kept him grounded, he allowed qibli to be his true self instead of a fake version of himself he created to get winter to like him. qibli kept winter’s ego in check. they balance each other out. qibli’s scales radiate heat, winter’s scales radiate cold. they were absolutely meant for each other.
