Got some stickers from @genericaces and keep chuckling to myself at how sad Angel looks next to Spike and Dru in my sticker book and had to share

i've been really into designing chibis these days LOL and wanted to make some stickers for myself. if anyone else wants to snag some you can grab em here! (there's leverage stuff too!)

remembered my doomed weslah(?) post-nfa au that i can only describe as "wesley is an unofficial third to a semi-retired frunn who are now hippies in portland and also lilah is there"

wes grows a depression beard and gets really into building birdhouses. sometimes lilah, still liaison for w&h, shows up and together they're the most sexually tense couple at the farmer's market. (lilah makes him shave the beard)

obviously lilah decides that she needs to insert herself into this non-throuple in order to make wesley jealous and admit that he cares about... something. other than birdhouses.

anyways every visit inevitably ends with lilah being called back to work by the senior partners. she only gets to snag brief moments of freedom before she goes back to work, and every time wes has to say goodbye to her all over again he gets all morose and guilty about it.

and i think it's ultimately about hanging onto guilt and loss past the point where it's helpful for you because it's your last connection to someone, even though it's keeping you from living your life in the present, because on some level the idea of being happy feels like a betrayal. and trying to figure out what moving on even looks like

So I can get behind a good tragedy and all, and this is something I thought about when watching the show, but it would be infinitely more entertaining to me for Illyria to possess their hosts in a more ‘and they were roommates’ kind of situation. This has been made even funnier in my brain since seeing your Wes!Illyria au. This au and the one I found a while back of Lindsey as the PTB vision vessel are probably my fav au hot takes. The universe where they both exist together would be hilarious to me. I always liked the idea of a Fred, Gunn, Wesley, and Lindsey team up. Also, original reason I stopped by, your art is very entertaining.♥️

Oh that would be very fun. The idea of Fred, Gunn, Wesley, and Lindsey's brains as sitcom apartment rooms that Illyria hops around is incredible. It would definitely be airing out everyone's dirty laundry as it did so, and they'd have a whole episode dedicated to the four of them learning to get along as Illyria loudly declares whatever it's sensing in its host: Fred's Wes/Gunn friendfiction. Lindsey's big metaphorical brain cabinet labeled "Angel." Wes' big metaphorical brain cabinet labeled "Angel (Do Not Open)." Gunn's secret conviction that he's the most normal member of the team.

Also I just realized that Illyria-hopping was not part of your original ask LOL. Anyways Lindsey PTB vision vessel is really interesting and I'm fascinated by what'd it be like if he was around s3 like that. He'd probably get weirdly competitive with Cordelia over it. I'm really not sure if his life is made better or worse by another excuse to stick around Angel and get weird about the women close to him. That being said the idea of a Lindsey-Cordy enemies-to-friends relationship is greatly appealing to me, and I think the moment they unexpectedly team up against Angel to comment on his hair is the day his soul gets anchored forever.
