Improvement Hell: Day 13: Interior setting with the character I designed on day 6
I might see if I can incorporate the rest of the prompts into some of my Art Fight attacks, but if not I might just have to call this challenge a bust for this year. Sad!
I've got a few of my other friends on it, so I thought I'd share my favorite Art Fight tradition I've made for myself:
After teams are revealed, the next time I go shopping I'll buy myself a scented candle that matches the color/theme of the team I chose (so I got a blue one this year). This is the Art Fight Candle. And the rule is that while the candle is burning, I HAVE to be drawing, and if I'm not drawing I have to blow the candle out, even if it's just for a few minutes to take a break. So it sort of creates a Pavlovian response where the smell of the candle shifts my brain into Art Mode. I've been doing it since 2020 (my second year of Art Fight) and it's just been a thing ever since! If Art Fight is something you look forward to every year, I highly recommend coming up with little traditions like this it's very fun :D

So I actually started this in February, but didn't finish it in one sitting, so I was waiting for it to snow the right amount at the right time of day on a day that I was off work but it kinda just never happened so I gave up and just finished it from memory.

Hello everyone! Just thought I'd make an update post on my current Situation.
I am aware that I am the farthest behind that anyone has ever been in an art challenge ever, but I am slowly working through improvement hell. Unfortunately I currently have a full-time job. But there's something else I've been working on recently, and what the main point of this post is.
About 3 years ago I was working on a project for school, and I made this little clown/jester mannequin. Her name is Incarnadine.
I, of course, got extremely attached to her.
(I started making a hat for her too but I've never carved wood before and the only wood carving knife they had in stock at the craft store is kinda dogshitttttt)
So now that I've completed my game dev focused degree, and have about a snowball's chance in hell of getting an actual game dev job at this point, I've decided to use what little free time I have left to try and develop this into something resembling an actual game.
I am making this post because it has just now occurred to me that no one, aside from my close friends and some people on Art Fight, knows that she exists. She haunts my every waking moment now. You WILL be seeing more of her. Maybe not anytime soon, maybe not this year, but you will be seeing her.
I find it very hard to convince myself that anything I can create is even worth creating. But Incarnadine's story has been clawing at the back of my brain ever since I conceptualized this goofy little carnival 3 years ago. I have to let it out some way or another.
Okay anyway that's all byeeeee see you in another 5 months when I finally finish day 12 of improvement hell <3
