They were SO afraid of any physical contact between the main characters in Supernatural. Like everyone just standing around when Cas is dying in 12x12 (this is a Reservoir Dogs homage dammit, CRADDLE him!!), or the pieta-style death pose in 12x23 except Dean is kneeled off to the side instead of holding Cas's body in his arms. There's no sensuality in Supernatural, and I get secondhand touch-starvation from it.
