It was rare for Adam to be outside during the day, but the Nest was strangely noisy for the day time, making the outside the more quiet option. 

He was sitting on a crate down the street from the Nest, the hood of his coat helping to block out the sun. Usually he was asleep by now, so things were a bit too bright for his liking. Perhaps he looked sketchy, or homeless, but people where leaving him alone, so he wasn’t about to complain. But he wasn’t expecting to be approached by a random teenager.

"Um. They’re alright. I guess.” Adam answered, turning his attention to the green haired stranger.

“Do you go around offering oranges to everyone, or just the freaks like me?“ He questioned, reaching for the offered orange.

     “I live with Lara, dipshit. I hear about the good shit we sell all the time from her and even if I wanted, I can’t drink.” A frown as she nodded her glass to him and topped it off before downing the rest of it’s contents.

           “It’s just quiet down there… Lara just unlocks it and I go slip in to nap, plus Greed won’t mind if I do that- better there than out in the open during business.”

       She finally ducked back out from behind the bar to go and sit on a barstool, metal fingers taping the surface in front of her- “…So, has it been busy at all today?”

Adam walked over to the cellar then crouched down to make sure the lock was locked and secured. The bar was still dead, but Ali did have a point, better to nap in the cellar where she’s be alone than risk sleeping near a bunch of drunks.

"Nah, the usual alcoholics haven’t stumbled in yet.” Adam replied, standing back up and returning behind the bar. “But give it time. If my aching automail is right about the weather, they’ll be here before long. You’d think rain would keep people away.”

          “mmmmnh laraawhy didn’t ya wake me up…?” A yawn came from her as she came out of the cellar, rubbing her eyes before pausing once she had properly woken up to stare at Adam.

               “…yer not m’sister-” Another yawn, shaking her head and ducking behind the bar to get herself some water to wake herself up.

      “sorry bout that- I snuck off to get a nap in, stayed up all night working on my automail and studying–”

While Adam couldn’t deny that the cellar was quieter that the rest of the Devil’s Nest, he was guilty of doing it a few times, but he did find it strange that Ali got into the cellar, usually it’s kept locked. Or at least when Adam’s on bar duty. But this being Lara’s sister, he wouldn’t put it past her finding a way.

“Studying... In the cellar... Where we keep the good shit before it’s watered down.” Adam said, crossing his arms. “I better not find any empty bottles. Boss wouldn’t be too happy.”

Rebecca hates the concept of State Alchemists. Not because of some “they’re living weapon” belief, but because she hates the fact that the title of State Alchemist comes with the rank equivalent of Major, and that someone who’s unfit to be an officer, gets to be a Major just because they “can do some flashy magic trick.”
