women were not banging out spirk fanfiction in the 60s for you to be AI generating your fic
the more i watch star trek tos, the more it becomes abundantly clear that the reason why modern trek doesnt get kirk at all is because they dont utilise mccoy nearly as much anymore
in modern trek, they always present the idea of logic vs emotion, with spock being logic and kirk being emotion, but thats not how tos has it. in tos, the logic vs emption debate is spock vs mccoy. kirk is supposed to be the mediator between the two, sometimes siding with one side over the other, sometimes finding a middle ground between the two. thats why hes the captain, hes able to see all angles and pick the best course
when you make kirk the emotional one, it completely breaks the format, because 9 time out of 10, it means kirk has to be correct. theres no more balance
mccoy is just as important to tos as spock is, and while i do understand why spock is as popular as he is, without mccoy, the show doesnt work. you need them both. kirk spock and mccoy are the three leads of the show, and removing one requires you to change the others, which is whats happened to kirk
every time I play AA4 apollos dialogue constantly feels like this
harry’s so classic scifi hero in the chute walking around all sweaty and masculine with his shirt ripped upon and his blond damsel in distress hanging off of him
these are the same picture
your honor i would die for these boys
Okay so I swear that the only reason Tom and Harry kept talking about the Delaney sisters in that episode was because it would be too gay if they didn’t
this episode was gay cinema to me
great things are happening in my notes app

I want to make it clear that I don’t care who “wins” this triangle. Jay-Den can stay with his golden retriever bf, he can get with that catty fish boy or he can remember that he was raised by a triad and force them to share. I’ve already fucking won because there’s a gay Klingon in Starfleet and his romantic drama is getting full coverage from the story.
Honestly finding Starfleet Academy really refreshing. Trying to teach young people burned by universal disaster and scarcity that things can be better again by actually trying to make it better. No galaxy ending problems that only the main cast can solve every week. Just a fun found family show. Very relaxed, much enjoy.
Funny that people are complaining about this new episode not being released last week, saying that a grief and trauma episode should've been directly after the episode that caused the grief and trauma... Hmm, guys do you know grief and trauma last like a really long time?
Consider that giving a gap episode helps ground the trauma and grief even more because it implies more time has passed and the kids are still not alright. Consider how it deepens the Sam storyline because it implies she's been suffering from the physical manifestations of her trauma for that long, and that's what makes it believable that she's in grave danger since they set up the hint that something was really wrong in the previous episode. Consider that the previous episode was necessary to set up the new Tarima storyline.
It's just funny to see people complain about a creative decision that's the result of objectively good storytelling. Yes, there was a gap episode. Yes, life goes on when you're grieving and traumatized. Yes, you eventually have to deal with it. That's how life works, so that's how it was written.
Imagine abdicating your throne to be near your crush and then he dates a guy named Kyle. Sounds to horrid to happen to anyone but it happened to my friend Darem Reymi, King of Khionia for about three hours.
starfleet academy spirk that I may or may not finish… can you tell that I like side profiles
