“my father is a boy and my mother is a girl so i’m mixed” is the funniest possible response to someone asking your gender and it came from 6’5 Viking footballer and notable weird little guy Erling Haaland on a Snapchat
comedians can only dream of writing something this funny
Without fail, every time a woman is talking about how she does not want to have children and never wants to be pregnant and how medical professionals, romantic interests and family members keep trying to bulldoze her decision and keep expecting her to change her mind because motherhood is something that is expected of all women and it is abhorrent to think a woman could not desire it, a random mother spawns in the comments to be like “Well, actually, you never know! I didn’t want children and then I got pregnant and I realized I love being a mama and I have five little babies now! Could happen to you! 🥰”
Sister, keep that to yourself or make your own goddamn post, you are ignoring that woman’s central concern and belittling her, you don’t even think you’re doing it. Formerly childfree women who ended up having children and loving it are like detransitioners in the sense that there is nothing inherently wrong with changing your mind about having children or realizing you were mistaken about your gender identity but immediately weaponizing your indecision to tell people that the barriers to healthcare and the violations of their bodily autonomy and the way society ignores that person’s wishes is actually okay because you were wrong. Some people do know themselves.
Next up someone is going to claim that the Narnia series isn't kids books.
Kids books is probably not the best way to word it, you can enjoy them at every age, including your childhood, as you get older you may find new truths in them, but they're still good for any age.
Getting down on my knees and thanking the humans who invented dishwashers and washing machines.
InsNe that dishwashers are more efficient and easier than just washing them manually but they also use less water. It’s a win win situation
They ALSO sterilize dishes, due to operating at a far higher temperature than human hands could ever tolerate. It's a win every way.
Made this post about 15 minutes after the repair guy who fixed the pump on my dishwasher packed up his tools and left, as the dishwasher was whirring along doing my dishes from that morning.
He said the exact same thing, which I did not know before that, so spreading this knowledge.

I’ve finished the first act of Dragon Age: Inquisition. I want to share screenshots from my playthrough with you! 😊

I should be allowed to use fuck if I know as an appropriate and professional response to a work email
One of the newer receptionists at my work (an Ariana Grande Gay) doesn't know all the different brands we carry yet, so usually when he takes a phone call with a customer asking if we carry something he will very uncertainly ask them to hold while he double checks with someone else first.
Today I watched him take a phone call and VERY confidently say "No, we don't carry Rare Beauty," without a hint of hesitation. It was a brand I hadn't heard of so even I would have waffled while checking the system before answering in case it was new. But he was correct, we don't carry it, I'd just never seen him respond with such certainty before.
Then after hanging up he turned to me and very smugly said "I love telling customers that we don't carry Selena's brand."
Overlock Stitch by @clothes_reetzy
Damn, that's useful
Finally a hand sewing tutorial on a hemline that isn't just the ladder stitch! the ladder stitch disappears when you tighten it, but it's not meant for hemlines because it breaks really easily! The overlock stitch is more stable, so it holds much longer, and it won't pucker or warp the fabric!

OH HELL THE FUCK YES
My first contrapuntal poem and my first Dragon Age fanwork. So, very new turf for me, quite exciting!
Inspired by the scene in the DA2 quest Dissent in which Anders/Justice (almost) murder Ella. AO3 link here.
I love the idea of Spock being super queer, highly expressive and very emotional from a Vulcan view point. Like...
What humans see:
What Vulcans see:
i love how this implies that gritty is how vulcans see jim
