In the past few weeks, we have created a volunteer team to assist us with writing lessons for the Bible curriculum for the Native American Initiative!Ā
With over 150 lessons to complete, the task was quite large but God saw fit to place the right people in our lives at just the right time to give their knowledgeable insights to this project.Ā
Thanks to Gina VanDyck, Dorothy Petersen and Cindy Waltrip for taking their time to pour over specific manuals in the Gordon Lindsay Bible Training Series and aid us in broadening the effectiveness of this material.Ā
As qualified educators themselves, they are bringing an element of fresh insight to each lesson they prepare. It has been an answer to prayer and we are incredibly grateful to each one!Ā
Several years ago, while still at Christ For The Nations, Rod compiled the incredible insights and Bible teachings of Gordon Lindsay, CFNIās co-founder, and had it professionally published into a 13-manual set.Ā
It literally takes a person through the Bible and brings great insight to particular subjects such as: the power of prayer, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the life and teachings of Christ, and so much more. Ā
When we introduced these books to our Native American contacts, they helped us identify a way that we could improve on the teaching sustainability and comprehension of the material we had presented. Through their insight, adding lessons to each chapter that contained 4 questions for a discussion, and worship and prayer time would greatly enhance the program.Ā
So, back to the drawing board, we went.Ā
For many months now, Rod and I have been working on expanding the Bible curriculum into a small group, discussion-based learning program. I am currently writing detailed lessons for this program - thatās about 150 discussion lessons in all, and it has been a joy to study and create insightful lessons that will benefit Native American groups in the near future!Ā
Thank you for your continued financial gifts and prayer support!Ā We need both VERY MUCH!
āAwakening First Peopleā book dedication coming soon
Rodās book, Awakening First People, was presented at the celebration of our Bible school students in Ft. Duchesne, Utah.
Pastors Fred and Wanda Smith (pictured above) gathered students together to dedicate this book to the Lord, for His use in propelling the message of awakening among Native People in America.Ā
With fervent prayer from the Ute Reservation the Holy Spirit led the initial ābook launchā. Ā
Instead of having an official book launch or book signing, God saw fit to dedicate Rodās prophetic and historical work of First Nations people for His purposes and for Kingdom use. Ā
In the coming weeks we will be launching Awakening First People, on a new website page and across social media outlets.Ā
Please be looking for the upcoming, launch of Rodās book. Ā
If there is anyone you would like to recommend this book to, there is a free download of it on our webpage www.geobound.org. You may also order a printed copy at Amazon for $12.99.
UPDATE: NAIāsĀ Shiprock Bible School in Progress
A letter from Rod and Celeste Groomer:
For the past year, we have steadily grown our Native American Initiative.Ā
One of the goals weāve had is to assist missionaries Jimmy and Laureen Baker and commission them, under our supervision, to direct a satellite Christ For The Nations School in the heart of the Navajo Nation.Ā
Partnering with Pastor Eric Lee, and the use of his church, the school is now coming to life and will officially begin in August this year!Ā
Here is what the Bakers have to report:
Student handbooks and applications have arrived from the printer. We will be mailing these out to prospective students this week.Ā We also have our booklets available online at Love On The Move.Ā
We are very blessed to partner with Pastor Eric Lee of Four Corners Community Church here in Shiprock, NM. Because of his partnership we have been able to set up our main classroom for the Bible school, which we just finished painting.Ā
New lighting has been installed and new window blinds will soon be in place along with a freshly painted stage. Menās and womenās restrooms are getting a make-over too.Ā
Next to be done is installing the projector screen, projector and mounting the speakers for the classroom. We are thankful for the help we have received from our church family at Pisgah Mountain Fellowship in Arkansas, enabling us to accomplish all the renovation goals at Pastor Leeās church facility.Ā
Here is a sneak peak of the green prayer room that students enrolled in CFNIā Navajo Nation will soon be utilizing. It has fresh new, bold paint resembling the bold new Ā prayers that the students will be praying from this room.
So much work has been accomplished, and the best is yet to come!

Your partnership is vital for such a time as this!Ā
Fresh Off the Press: āAwakening First PeopleāĀ has been printed
We are very proud to announce that Rodās book has been printed!Ā
It is an insightful look at the prophetic mandate God has given to First Nations Ā People and how they are to be involved in the awakening movement in America.Ā
The book also details the journey of how God led us to the Native American Initiative (NAI) that we are now working in. It will soon be made available as a free pdf download and in e-book format. As well, we have hard copies for those who still enjoy a book in hand.Ā
Ā "For every revival there is a sound. The coming awakening will be released through the sound of the Native war drums in the heavenly realms. Jehoshaphat called a fast when the enemy was about to overcome Israel - he then sent the sound of instruments and singers into battle. It is the sound of the Native drum in this season that will set the tone for this awakening - this war!"Ā
- Lou EngleĀ
August 20, 2016 - Preliminary meeting for the All Nations North America ā Call (ANNA Call)Ā
From the moment the Friday evening prayer and worship began, there was a sense that God was certainly ushering in a new sound for awakening in America. From the beat of the drum, to the cry of the heart - a genuine intercessory sound resonated from the Native American community in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Deep emotion and spiritual fervency were joined together in the Saturday, 12-hour day of prayer and fasting for a Native American awakening.
Numerous Native tribes were in attendance at this event, breaking the bad blood between their neighboring brothers and sisters. Traveling as far away as Alaska and Canada, several tribes represented their state, bonding together in a powerful moment.Ā
Nearly all of those who led in prayer or worship, opened an appeal towards Heaven in their native tongue. A true image of cross-cultural languages uniting under one God was a powerful sight to behold. Several key moments were captured on bended knee, petitioning God for His mercy and a release of forgiveness from the past. Ā
It was a wonderful surprise to see the complementing stream of Messianic ministry in flow with a Native American emphasis. It was also good to hear the testimonies of many, as they recounted Godās leading in their lives, releasing new mantles of awakening.Ā
Those who wore their native dress did so to stand for their people and culture. Yet in doing so, they embraced Christ Jesus with a determination to use their Godly influence to reach their own communities with the power of the Holy Spirit. Ā
From children to youth, young adults, middle-aged and elders all came together to stand in the gap for not only our nation but for the Sovereign nations of our land.Ā
Towards the end of the day a friendship dance broke out among all ethnicities who attended. It was an amazing experience to see black, white, native, and Asian dancing together in friendship!
God is setting the tone for awakening, especially within the Native American community.
Join with us in prayer, that God continues to move among the Native AmericanĀ community in a miraculous way.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Nearly seven years ago, Rod and I were awakened to a new season of ministry while attending a prayer and fasting event in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Joined by several hundreds of people, we cried out to heaven for a Biblical awakening and a re-energized emphasis of the destined purpose for America. God surprised us! During those meetings, He opened our eyes to two people groups: Israel and Native People.
Ā Ā Ā An understanding settled in our hearts that God had more He desired to do in America. And He desired to use us in this awakening in America, if we honored Israel and the First Nations People. So, we set our hearts to do all that God gave us to do.
Ā Ā Ā For four years, we were privileged to lead outreaches to Israel and bless many cutting-edge Messianic ministries that are winning Arabs and Jews alike. It was a āfirst-fruitā season; honoring Israel and the works God is doing in the Holy Land. Our last trip was significant. We witnessed several thousands of people from the nations of the world return to Jerusalem and pray together for another move of the Holy Spirit to be poured out on the world again!
Ā Ā Ā Many years now, we have labored mostly in prayer seeking Godās timing to begin the Native American Initiative; 2016 began this season as we moved on His directives. With this new initiative came the timing to relocate in order to be more effective in our ministry reach.
From June to the present, we split our time between at our home in Red Oak, and our RV camper in Kansas, Oklahoma. We have loved living under an elm tree in the heart of āIndian Territory,ā as Oklahoma is called.Ā
From little Kansas, Oklahoma, the Lord has given us several new directives. Our sixteen years in the Dallas Metroplex has ended. We are making a more permanent move to the state with over 39 tribes of First Nations People to pursue all that God has put in our hearts to do.
It has been here, in the heart of the Cherokee Nation, God gave us a new mandate that Rod has given a voice to. In the New Year, we intend to publish Rodās finished book called Awakening First People. His work is a combination of historical revelations, prophetic discernment and personal insight for the coming move of God among the First Nations people of America.
Would you consider a significant financial gift in your year-end giving to get this timely book into print?Ā
2017 promises to be a fruitful year ahead of us!
We warmly invite you to journey with us to witness a rising awakening among Native Americans.
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones from all of us on the Geobound Team!

The Old Testament book of II Chronicles exposes the state of Israelās spiritual deficiency. In fact, because of rampant sin ā converting to the practices of their adversaries ā the Israelites fell into the captivity to their enemies. The Scriptures speak loudly for themselves in II Chronicles 36:14-16:
Also, all the officials of the priests and the people were very unfaithful, following all the repulsive acts of the [pagan] nations; and they defiled the house of the Lord which He had sanctified in Jerusalem. The Lord, the God of their fathers, sent word to them again and again by His messengers, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place. But they kept mocking the messengers of God and despising His words and scoffing at His prophets until the wrath of the Lord arose against His people, until there was no remedy or healing.
The worship of other gods, sexual immorality and perversion lost reverence for Godās house - defying the word of God from His messengers and left Israel in wanting. They were eventually overcome by their enemies and taken captive. But God⦠Godās amazing grace continued to reach out to man, regardless of repugnant sin. God sought to restore fellowship and healing among the nation sin had made miserable.
Thus begins the astonishing awakening and reformation lessons of Ezra the scribe.Ā
Ezra takes his place in the annals of history, becoming a man through whom God could display His marvelous grace to Israel. In addition to the irony of Israelās situation, Ezraās name means āhelp,ā which is exactly what the nation was desperate for. Israel had forgotten Godās ways, and yet Ezra was to become the marker of righteousness that would awaken a nation and lead to its reform.
You may be saying to yourself, āHow does this relate to our modern times?āĀ
Remember Israelās state of sexual immorality and perversion, and setting up idols to worship other gods?Ā Well, consider the following likenesses of Israelās ancient past to Americaās current state:
Burning Man ā The largest occultic gathering of over 70,000 people from around the world, came to a Nevada desert to openly engage in nudity, group sexual encounters, and witchcraft; culminating in burning a gigantic wicker effigy of a man. Ā
Coachella ā For the past 17 years this rock concert is held in a California desert, and has grown into a comparable Woodstock party event; sex, drugs, and a music induced-atmosphere creates this unbridled craze...which continues to grow stronger and stronger.Ā
āThink of Coachella as a Burning Man for the alt scene, or a Woodstock for the indie generation. Oh, and the music aināt half-bad either.ā Ā
Satanic Statue āĀ
āA little before midnight on Saturday [July 27, 2015], a crowd of around 700 gathered in an old industrial warehouse a few blocks from the Detroit River for what theyād been told was the ālargest public satanic ceremony in history...They were there to publicly unveil a colossal bronze statue of Baphomet, the goat-headed wraith who, after centuries of various appropriations, is now the totem of contemporary Satanism⦠A Detroit pastor described the unveiling of the statue as āa welcome home party for evil.āā Ā Ā
Mardi Gras ā Ā A festival of rampant sexual perversion.Ā
āItās been called the wildest fete in the U.S., and for good reason: Every year [since 1857, when Mardi Gras became a legal holiday in New Orleans], droves of party-goers flock to New Orleans to take in the floats, the festivities and the food, and to leave their mark on the Big Easy.ā Ā
āMardi Gras, synonymous with the Carnival preceding Lent, translated from the French, literally means āfat Tuesday.āāĀ
This is the final day prior to Ash Wednesday on the Roman Catholic calendar (Shrove Tuesday on the Anglican calendar), the Tuesday before Lent begins.Ā Lent is a tradition in the Roman, Anglican and Orthodox versions of the Christian religion. Ancient history teaches us that this religion began at Babylon, developed in Egypt, and passed its traditions down to the Greeks and Romans⦠Thus the celebrations around the winter solstice became the Saturnalia and Brumalia festivals of winter, celebrated in December. The pre-spring festivals at the onset of the final lean month of winter led into the spring festival of Ishtar in Babylon, or Osiris in Egypt, signaling new birth. Ā
Bestiality ā Sexual relations with animals, is rising at an alarming rate:
āIndeed, Google News turns up 76,300 news stories related to bestiality in just .37 seconds. That compares to 1,530 current news stories related to bestiality in just .23 two years ago. That's an astronomical increaseāand it's only going to get worse unless we see a Third Great Awakening that leads to massive repentance.ā
Babylon was the progenitor of the wicked practices that eventually led God-loving Israel astray.Ā And it is Babylonās modern practices, in our day, that is permeating the nation with defilement and shame.Ā
The Body of Christ is at a crossroads to either succumb to Babylonās demonic influence or awaken to the call of God for reformation!
Awaken a People!
Israelās history was written for our help, for our sake, for our future.Ā The book of Ezra presents us with a pattern of awakening for a people who have greatly erred and are overcome with worldly influences. It teaches us that those who are in serious need of Scriptural purity can once again find it.
Ezra was a scribe who was uncompromisingly righteous. As a scribe he recorded the law or instructions of God, studying them in detail. He then ādescribesā what he has learned and teaches his people to do the same.Ā But why would his influence have such an effect in turning a nation from heathen practices back to serving one God ā Jehovah?Ā
Exactly who was this Ezra?
Uncompromisingly Righteous:Ā Ezra was righteous. No, he was uncompromisingly righteous. Itās a term that reveals Ezra would not agree with or comply with any worldly standard of conduct. His heart longed for that which could only be satisfied in God. In agreement with Godās Word and Godās ways was the ONLY way Ezra would live.
Prayer:Ā Ezra prayed. He spoke his heartās concerns to God. He didnāt tell others, nor complain about his issues; he told God. And he expected God to answer him and reply to his prayers.
Fasting:Ā Ezra declined food for the sake of drawing closer to God. His yearning for becoming all that God needed him to be was paramount in his heart. Fasting drew Ezra closer to God, and built a resistance to the worldly influence of his day.
Set Heart:Ā Ezra prepared and set his heart.Ā
Ezra 7:10 states:
āFor Ezra had prepared and set his heart to seek the Law of the Lord [to inquire for it and of it, to require and yearn for it], and to do and teach in Israel its statutes and its ordinances.ā
Ezra set his heart to seek his God; to KNOW what God had to say; to DO what God said to do; and to TEACH others the same. There was unflinching resolve for this man to take aim, set his gaze, and determine it would be Godās way or no way! There was anointing in his resolution; God anointing. His life was the catalyst for Israelās reformation.
How Does This Relate To YOU?Ā How Can One Person Bring Reformation?
Set your heart to seek God āĀ Through prayer, fasting and studying Godās Word; allow the Presence of God to begin to permeate your heart and life.
Set your heart to understand God ā In your quiet time, ask God how you might be challenged to new understanding of His Word and ways. Allow the Holy Spirit to change areas of your life so that you might be in agreement with God.
DO all that is revealed to you ā Donāt just give mental assent to the things God shows you - do them; incorporate them into your everyday life.
Become a modern-day scribe ā As the Holy Spirit directs you, share with others, or ādescribeā what God is doing in your life and the insights He is revealing to you.
It took one man, Ezra, to reveal the weightiness of the truth of Godās Word through his own life, causing a people to turn to God.Ā
History has shown us that it only takes one personĀ to restore what has been lost.Ā
The First Nation Bible Conference in Holbrook, Arizona, was full of the presence of God with impacting Native American worship, and Holy Ā Spirit-led prayer.Ā
Inspiration from the Word of God came in the morning workshops to build up the Body of Christ on topics like: promise-homes, leadership development, and missions.
There was incredible preaching and ministry in the evening tent services by Apostles Fred Smith, Duane Bull Chief, and many more.
Additionally, a strong call for generations of all ethnicities and ages was empowered to join together and be seen as one under Christ. Ā
It was exciting to see young people responding to the call of ministry and worshiping God with all their hearts.
We also had a great response from Native American leadership, who participated in the conference, and plan to start the Native American Initiative Bible Training program in Arizona, New Mexico, and Montana.Ā
All in all, the conference was a complete success!Ā
FIRST NATION BIBLE CONFERENCE RECAP: "The First Nation Bible conference was full of the presence of God with impacting Native American worship, Holy Spirit praying and inspiration from the Word of God concerning building up the Body of Christ through Promise Homes, leadership development, and missions.
