I feel like there was a missed opportunity with glitches on Lyoko. Can you imagine Lyoko, but with glitched out or absolutely broken physics? Stuff like:
- Odd shooting a Krab from underneath and sending it rocketing into the sky for all eternity.
- Jeremie freaking out because according to his screen Yumi’s falling into the digital sea, but in truth she got stuck after falling halfway through the ground and can’t get out.
- Xana’s flying monsters are stuck sliding across the sectors never to fall and skidding across the horizon forever.
- William battles Ulrich but their swords are glitched giving them insane range at the cost of dealing no damage, but it’s only when they swing and every time they do it glitches out even worse.
- Super Sprint puts Ulrich into the same state as Xana’s flying monsters, forever sliding into the horizon. Aelita’s wings do this to her as well.
- Lasers send whoever got hit ragdolling halfway across the sector and glitching through trees, rocks, ice walls, sand walls, and towers.
- This happens to all of Xana’s monsters too.
- This happens even if they blocked the hit.
- Occasionally a fired laser, one of Odd’s arrows, or an Energy Field that missed will loop back around because screw everything.
- Yumi’s fans never come back after throwing them as they continue flying off in whichever direction she threw them for the rest of time.
An episode like this could’ve been so fun to watch, especially early on. It would have been great to see them be confused, panic, and struggle trying to get adjusted to physics that don’t make any sense and have it be a parallel to Jeremie trying to figure out how to fix it or how it even happened in the first place.
