I just finished watching The Haunting of Bly Manor for the third time and the scene where Dani proposes to Jamie, might be my favourite of all, got me thinking of madhel and how they would propose to one another

Madeline would say it under her breath one morning, when she woke up and Helen was just up against the headboard reading one of Madeline's favourite books. She looked so calm, the sun made her hair seem like fire and her glasses were sliding over her noise. Madeline would ask it really, really quietly, almost like she didn't realise the words were coming out of her mouths. Just a simple will you marry me, Helly Bean

Helen would say it like the words were desperate to get out, and they were for a long, long time. Like she just had to get it out or it would suffocate her and please please please Madeline please.

Helen lived with cats all her life. Her mother liked them, they were quiet and elegant, and didn't bother people with their inconveniences. Her father didn't really care, he spent most of the day in his office anyway, there wasn't time to care for the cats, or Helen for that matter.

She didn't like the cats that her mother had. They would hiss and try to bite her if she got too close to pet them, she gained so many little scars that adorned her legs, arms and hands because of them. She didn't understand how or why cats with biblical names, Adam had the meanest bites, Eve knocked everything that was in her desk over, Abraham was just a cunt in general, acted like little devils. Living with those spawns of Satan for her entire childhood and adolescence made her hate, despise, cats with all her might.

Until one day, Madeline showed up to their flat with a little white cat she found on a dumpster behind the trailers of the show she was filming. Helen tried with all her might to say no to Madeline, she did, but it was impossible to resist one pair of blue eyes imagine two! (yes, unfortunately for Helen the cat had blue eyes. The battle was lost before it even began.) Helen thought it was going to be like her childhood all over again, the cat was going to be a nightmare she was sure off it.

She was right but not in the way she expected. The cat absolutely loved her. He slept in her lap while she was writing, he climbed on her until she scratched behind his ear, Helen couldn't lie down because there he came to lay atop of her. An absolutely adorable nightmare.

Madeline didn't mind, she got plenty of attention from him as well but she could see that he had a favourite and who could blame him really. Helen is her favourite as well.

I had a thought so out of nowhere I have to share it.

Deborah is a vampire and she tries to find Ava in all her lives, from 1200 to 2026 she tries, and sometimes succeeds, in finding Ava. They're also soulmates so every time Ava dies Deborah's mark fades. From 1720 to 1772 Deborah had no mark, so she spent 62 years sleeping.

What I'm getting at is: it's 2024 and Ava only finds out they're soulmates when Deborah, drunk out of her mind, started to strip and walk towards the bathroom while Ava was in the room. Ava sees the little star in her left ribcage and she feels like she can't breathe and is actually hallucinating because she also had a drink but not nearly enough to see things that aren't there.

She walks towards Deborah and spins her around to make sure she saw it right. Deborah just lets her because she knows Ava knows and she's too drunk to explain everything so she just lets Ava look and brings their foreheads together and telepathic shows Ava everything.

Ava passes out and the next morning she thinks it was a another self indulgent dream but no. Deborah is next to her on the bed and she can see the little star. They need to talk, a really loooooong talk but right now there's a shirtless Deborah Vance in bed with her so the talk can be later. Much, much later by the look in Deborah's eyes when she catches Ava staring.

And then the final late night episode airs and everyone knows about them

Just saw a hannigram fanart and my brain conjured up Vampire!Helen Sharp wearing one of those muzzles that have metal crisscross bars and Madeline gripping the metal bars and tilting Helen's head back and Helen baring her teeth and Madeline feeling powerful because Helen is looking at her with so much Hunger and Madeline taking the muzzle off and Helen immediately tackling Madeline to the ground and telling her to never put that on her again (Madeline will 100% do it again)

Madeline is the one known In their relationship to be the biter, oral fixation and all that, but Helen is fucking feral when she's feeling possessive.

Madeline is just staring at how gorgeous Helen looks with her glassy eyes filled with desperation for her. Helen is like this because she needs to mark Madeline as hers. Her wife, her person, her everything.

I have a headcannon that Madeline was stronger than Helen in college and she would hold Helen hostage in her lap when she became too stressed with homework and assignments.

Post-death Helen is stronger and would do the same thing to Madeline and ask how she liked it not being able to go anywhere, Madeline would just snuggle closer and say that it was awful, truly tragic.
