This is a test of how spatial photos are treated by Tumblr. In Flickr they lose the spatial information. Does Tumblr preserve this?
So it snowed in Calgary, rather unexpectedly. What was supposed to be as short snowfall turned into about seven hours. Fun! These are from the university of Calgary.
Working on an artwork in 2918 during my MFA. Small house books you can open to get a sense of the memories on a homestead. Here I am cobbling stories together from local history books on the typewriter. The idea was twofold: You can't tell a book by it's cover, and what if the memories of a space adhered like stains to the last remaining walls on a farm.
Messy? Sure. Disorganized? Nope. A bastion of creativity? Absolutely…
Typical Christmas drive for me. Long trips in bad weather in poor tires, with a brief break at someone else’s house in the middle. The car made it 600km in 49.25 litres from a 38 litre tank… not bad, and I avoided Boxing Day insanity…!

Some race track, but sadly no cars. Not worth salvaging as most are broken.
A mural in Bowness has a train going across a trestle, and I love the fact someone tagged the engine and one of the box cars.
One of the less chaotic corners of my living room. More of a workspace, to be honest. I build all sorts of things here, and dream up others I am working on.
The dollhouses are part of a long term research project involving how we interpret ruins. The suitcases are an extended art project where a travelling light casts shadows of buildings that no longer exist.

I have to say Ikea has really streamlined the Poang/Poem chairs in the past thirty years or so. The design feels much more refined, no more metal tubing but alas, the slight rocking is missing from the modern stuff. The chairs are a bit stiffer than I remember.
Testing the Nikon Zf and 50mm macro in a model store versus the iPhone….
