I need a very specific Flambert fic to exist. Something like:

I need it like, Chad is having the time of his life being his normal asshole self, and Robert is completely stonefaced waiting for the other shoe to drop where Chad tries to kill him in his sleep or get some kind of amputation-type revenge on him. Not afraid, but tense and stressed and snappy.

HERE'S THE THING: I don't want Robert to feel guilty. Just like, tired and completely oblivious to the fact that Chad's pulling his pigtails and is totally over it already. Chad actually wants to kiss him on the tip of his dick.

Some notes under the cut again let’s go freaks

- Katon-Ur is 63 on Earth, probably around 30 on Urgot-52dc, and a very young adult in terms of development (Around 20-23 in humans)

- I imagine Colm as being the guy that manages to strike up conversations with literally anyone. Old lady. Little kid in a park. 44 yo alcoholic. Not that they’re particularly enlightening or anything, but they happen. They happen.

- had a really hard time with this one because I think EVERYONE knows that Colm and Janelle have a weird on-again off-again relationship but they *never* mention that they have taken in Katon-Ur to anyone. The only one that has any idea is Blazer because Katon wanted her to know that he was okay and has moved on. She replies, “Great!” But she’s making a weird tense face when she says it.

- Janelle is clean because she doesn’t own many things. Katon is clean-ish because he’s kind of a mess but he knows where everything is so it’s okay. Colm is messy because he doesn’t know where things are and has a lot of stuff. Tchotchkes and such. Also he doesn’t have easy access to half the storage space in his home, so. Kind of makes things hard.

- Katon is the worst because he grasps concepts fine but has a hard time executing processes well, and any recipe that requires multitasking is a no-go. He’s self sufficient but don’t expect it to not be a little burnt. He absolutely destroys at roasting things though. At some point him and Royd team up for a kālua pig and everyone craves it for weeks after.

Janelle is in the middle because she’s horrible with temperature control but her prep skills redeem her. Really *really* good knife skills and fantastic at seasoning/sauces/anything to do with tasting. Could be a sommelier if she wanted to. She can make a mean salad but don’t expect her to sear a steak without it being blue in the center. Pretty good baker too!

Colm is the best because he is the best at actually cooking foods on the stove/in the oven. Good rare steaks, flavorful stews, the whole nine yards. Knife cuts leave something to be desired though.

- I think this get together would be like a very quiet nuclear bomb going off for Katon. Realistically it’s two slightly more stable adults saying, “This guy is fucked up” and adopting him into their relationship so he can curl up at the end of the bed like a dog. Katon then becomes the glue that keeps them from going into the “off-again” phase because he kind of fills in the gaps of the other two. Colm needs a warmer lover sometimes, and Janelle needs someone to cater to her more expensive tastes (and be able to enjoy it with her). Yay!

-I also had in my mind that Phenomaman is older than you'd expect, but in a weird alien way. He looks like a handsome middle-aged man but acts like he's 22 and mid-spiral so this tracks severely.

I actually recommend everyone write for a rarepair once because it completely changes your relationship with fandom. Engagement stops being numbers and starts being names. You know who's going to show up. You recognize usernames. Someone disappears for a while and then comes back and you're like “OH MY GOD WELCOME HOME.” It's incredibly wholesome. It is also deeply inconvenient when all six of you simultaneously get writer's block-
