meanwhile senju and south were still fighting and senju got knocked down to the floor after south beat her. takemichi was worried about senju’s life if the fight continued and tried to stop her, but south headed over and placed his hand on takemichi telling him to move aside. suddenly, another vision appeared after south came into contact with takemichi — with the vision being south lying on the ground dead. takemichi couldn’t believe someone as strong as south would be dead in the vision, wondering who it could be who might do this to him. just then, kakucho came flying over and landing between the two — covered in bruises. mikey came over to south and the chapter ended with the two leaders facing each other.
Meandering through the streets of Shibuya, eyes lifeless and mind a blank, Shinichiro would rather be dead than alive.
In twilight's beckoning, neon signs lining the vast streets illumined their blinding radiance; in the cacophony of cars honking, hawkers shouting, tumultuous thumping of footsteps from pedestrians and announcements blasted from electronic billboards on skyscrapers, they reminded him of the bustling life of an iconic commercial district, of both the happy and sad recollections embedded within the streets of Tokyo: its glorious state when the first generations of Black Dragons ruled.
Yet it also reminded him of you.
Time flew by relentlessly, and life went on. Just as vestiges of autumn receded into the first snow of winter, and as remnants of frost thawed into the blooming buds of spring, what was once destruction and ruin had soon been rebuilt, wiping away all traces of the tragic accident that occurred years ago. It felt like a distant memory, dwindling into a fleck at the back of everyone's minds as they moved on. Shibuya was the same as ever: vibrant, crowded, vast.
Yet it would never be the same again in his eyes.
At least, not without you.
Wherever he went, memories of you followed. Whether he on a congested train compartment, riding his motorcycle as he sped through labyrinth of zebra-crossings, or buying breakfast at the local bakery, he could see visages of you everywhere. He knew it wasn't you, he knew his eyes were deceiving him. Even so, every now and then, whenever a faint image of you ghosted across his periphery, a lone tear would slide down the side of the raven's cheek.
It can't be her, Shinichiro shook his head as the male held back overflowing tears that threatened to surge forth like tsunami waves. Y/n is long gone already, stop giving yourself false hope dumbass!
He was going to have the perfect future with you; planning to move forward to another milestone with you in life after the two of you dated for 6 years, Shinichiro couldn't wait any longer to put a ring on your finger. Yet life wasn't kind to the slightest; just as the two of you were planning to head for another date to celebrate your 6th anniversary together, tragedy befell.
Endless screaming rang at the edge of Shinichiro's hearing as chaos erupted across the largest crossroad of Shibuya. Apparently, a road accident occurred at the main junction, and many innocent citizens were unfortunately involved. Billows of smoke and flames quickly engulfed his surroundings, and the raven knew he had to act fast. Just as he turned around, trying to search for you through the frantic crowd, Shinichiro's heart sank.
You weren't there.
"Babe? Y/n?" Panic bubbled in his chest the moment he spotted you near the wrecked vehicles, trying to rescue passengers along with a few others at the scene. Heading over to you without hesitation, Shinichiro begged you to leave with him, only to be faced with rejection.
"Shin, I can't! There are people trapped in there! I'm a paramedic, who is going to save them if I decided to be a coward and run away?"
"I know! But think about yourself first honey! What about me? I'm worried about your safety too, you can't give me a heart attack like that! There's no way I'm letting you put your life into danger like that!"
"Shin."
"I —"
All of a sudden, thunderous clangs bounced off nearby buildings, followed by a simultaneous burst of flames and explosions. Before he could even realise what was going on, the sight in front of him made circumstances even worse.
"Y/n! Y/n! Stay with me ... I'm going to save you, okay?" Shinichiro wished he was more confident when he said it. Fear was apparent in your eyes; and with your body now trapped beneath a pile of newly formed rubble, your boyfriend was the only one you could depend on. Despite this, the pieces of metal were too heavy for the raven to move. Not to mention the lingering smell of petroleum in the stale air wasn't making things optimistic for him.
"Shin, leave ..." Tears pricked at Shinichiro's eyes the moment these words leave your lips.
"No, there's no way I'm leaving you here!"
A rueful smile adorned your lips as you asked him to crouch down. Meekly stretching out your arms, you reached out to cradle the male's tear-stained cheeks — the gesture only making Shinichiro cry harder.
"I love you always, Shin ... remember me."
Your words, touch and face were the last things which were engraved into his mind before the roaring fire took your life that night.
You were gone, there and that. Shinichiro was there when he desperately tugged on your ensanguined blouse, attempting to save you. But his efforts were futile. Weak, that was the sole attribute he ever had; weak in fighting and weak in love. Still, you loved the raven for who he was, laughing along to his corny pickup lines every time the two of you went on a date or patching him up whenever he came back to you with bruises littered all over his body.
Such weakness might be what made you fall for the ex-leader of the Black Dragons in the first place, yet it would always serve as a bitter guilt which gnawed at his broken heart beyond repair.

It was a hard pill to swallow indeed — a grim reminder of the harsh reality, an excruciating stab to the heart, making him ponder if things would have turned out differently if he had managed to save you back then. In a year or two, would the two of you be married? Would the two of you raise a large family? Would he go and help Mikey out with his up and rising gang or continue with his bike shop business?
He would never find out the answers to these unanswered questions, because you were gone forever.
You would never be coming back. Not into the warmth and comfort of the once shared apartment, not into his arms after a long day at work, not onto the entangled bedsheets which your scent lingered and where dreams of the future were spoken. The fact alone pained him more than ever. Shinichiro still missed you dearly; your soothing touches which made his stomach flutter, your gentle tone that could turn him into a puddle, your somewhat awkward yet endearing smile which reminded him of home.

It hurt to hold onto the past, to latch onto the pain which tormented him for an eternity; nevertheless, in agony he sought for a fragment of solace. And little by little, his broken heart began to recuperate (although not entirely). Still, reality was brutal. It would bring you back — whether Shinichiro liked it or not. Whether it was coincidentally passing by a church and witnessing wedding guests cheering for the newlywed, families of three cooing and playing with their children in the park, or couples sharing intimate moments, the raven's mind would invariably drift to think about you, to think about how the two of you would've had been doing all of these in time had the incident not happened.

Chifuyu had always been a hopeless romantic at heart. Despite being the vice captain of the 1st division gang at Toman, he would dream about living life out of a shoujo manga; at times Baji and the others would tantalise the blonde about it, and deep down he knew that a delinquent like him would be having a hard luck with the ladies. But all of it changed — when the day Chifuyu met you was like a scene in the mangas he read coming to life.
Wanting a change of scenery, Chifuyu and his friends stopped by a cafe after school to hang out instead of their usual spot after pestering Mikey to put aside Toman matters for a while. For a day, they could just forget everything related to the gang and enjoy quality time with one another other than fighting. At least, that was the initial plan — until Chifuyu headed to the cashier to order drinks, grumbling about how he lost in a game of rock paper and scissors earlier and now he was the one paying for everyone’s drinks.
“May I take your order?”
A soothing voice reaching the blonde’s ear calmed his inner turmoil of emotions down, like the gentle rain after a tumultuous storm. Looking up from the tiled floor, Chifuyu’s cyan eyes caught sight of the most breathtaking person he had ever met in his life; you by all means were nobody other than a typical high school student who would juggle work and studies, with younger siblings to be taken care of and having barely enough money to live by, the stress had been weighing upon your shoulders — its load being heavier than the previous day.
Nonetheless, you remained optimistic, believing that however tough circumstances could be — there would always be a silver lining. As long as you persist and work to the very best of your ability, someone out there would be able to recognise the efforts you’ve dedicated.
Little did you realise that person is just within reach — being closer than you’d anticipated.
“Uh ... hello?” It was starting to get awkward as your customer had been standing there gawking at your face for entirely two minutes. The queue wasn’t moving at all — not until the male in front of you could place his order. Agitation started to bubble within your chest; with the tapping of shoes against the tiled floor and sporadic glances from those behind, you knew you had to do something before people would start to complain about poor customer service.
“Um ... you okay sir? There are other customers waiting in line as well.” Hearing that, the male snapped back to his senses, profuse apologies spilling from his lips as he attempted to fumble for the right words and make up for the inconvenience he’d caused — only to find that he had messed things up even more.
How could he help it though? With such a beautiful lady standing in front of him, luck might as well be on his side at last. Chifuyu longed to stare at you for a bit longer; even if you’d find him weird, he would never blame you — for his primary goal at the moment was to imprint your visage into his mind.
“I’m so sorry! I’ll have three lattes and uh —“
“It’s alright, take your time and choose.” Chime-like titters echoed at the edge of his hearing, making the heat spread further to the rest of his body. “I could always take your order later, but would you mind me taking the next customer’s order for the time being?”
Tongue static, Chifuyu could only muster a nod, mumbling apologies whilst the blonde staggered aside and headed back to the table with his head hung low, only to find Mikey and the others relentlessly snickering at the fool he’d made of himself.
“Bahahahah what was that Chifuyu?”
“You messed up an order just because you’re ogling at the cashier?”
“Not going to lie, she’s hot though.”
Most of their comments fell on deaf ears, for the blonde was lost in his thoughts once more, your laughter being the only thing resounding in his mind at that moment. Like a ripple spreading across the calm surface of a lake, your unexpected presence in Chifuyu’s life made him experience what falling for someone at first sight was like. All of a sudden, he felt like his shojo manga dreams had come to life. This was his chance to be in love, and he sure as hell wouldn’t let such an opportunity slip past his fingertips.

Thinking that you might be pissed with him for holding back the queue in the cafe, the blonde hurriedly turned, about to walk back when you called out to him, holding his receipt in your hand.

As expected, the venue was already cramped with people the instant you peeked your head through the door; as you navigated your way through the crowd, trying to find your colleagues. Muttering, you left your colleagues who huddled together to discuss about how this would be the perfect opportunity for them to hook up with a potential rich husband — and headed towards the bar to order a drink. Just as you hopped off the chair, your legs gave way without warning; fortunately, the raven-haired customer caught you by the way before your knees made contact with the ground. Heat rushed to your cheeks as mumbles of apology spilled profusely from your lips, to which the young man smiled in return and insisted it was not a big deal.
“I don’t think you would be able to arrive home safely in this state. Please, at least allow me to do the honour of driving you home.”
Nodding meekly, your tense body gradually relaxed itself in the stranger’s arms, failure to notice the sinister intentions behind the raven’s upturned lips. With the two of you making your way through the bustling crowd and out of the club, the young man immediately ushered you to an expensive looking car parked at the side of the road.
You were about to tell the stranger your address, but exhaustion washed over you before you could even utter a single word; feeling how your eyelids sagged and body becoming heavier, you crashed onto the backseat — not taking long before you sank into a deep slumber. Stealing a chaste glance at your sleeping figure at the back, the raven’s heart fluttered as he revved the engine. Eventually the car drove off, its headlights fading into the tenebrosity of the night.
